If you want to be judged when you go to get your clothes cleaned USAVE Sebastian Cleaners is the place for you. the customer service and cleaning is barely worth the $2 you pay for it. before I write a review on some where I try to go at least three times. I had to make an exception with this place once I found out how it really is. I only made it up there to drop off and pick up twice. both times I was completely unsatisfied; let me tell you about my experiences at USAVE Sebastian cleaners.
My first experience (drop off around 2 or 3 p.m.): as I walk in I hear young black male behind the counter laughing and making funny faces, sounds pretty busy doesnt he? as he walks to the back of the store a young white female approaches the counter to help me. I had 10 items all in which I informed her were to go to dry cleaning. she then proceeds to pull out two tickets, asks for my last name first initial and my phone number. she fills out two tickets, placing different items in two different bags and placing the tickets in the two bags. Not saying anything more I paid my tab took my tickets and walked out the door, only to hear the young black male say "ugh that b**** was ugly" as I walked out the door.
(pick up): not such a bad experience customer service wise. I came in a little before noon to pick up my clothes the young lady that helped me was very kind and made sure I had all of my clothes when I picked them up to make sure I received all 10 garments back. however I did have to inform her that at drop off I did inform the young lady I wanted all of my clothes to dry cleaning she apologized immensely and said that the mistake would not happen again if she helped me.
Second experience ( drop off around 8 a.m.): this time I only brought in three garments two of which had stains that would easily come out in any washing machine. but as I approach the counter a young redhead looks at me and goes back to what she's doing I stand their idol for a minute or so before being helped, I guess she finally realized no one else was going to help me so she finally came to the counter. I receive no greeting or please or thank you, informed her of the stains and she said she was sure they would come out and not to worry. I paid the $6.42 required to leave my clothes and left promising to return later in the day to pick them up.
Later that day, a little after 5 I return to go pick up my three items. there were 2 customers waiting to be helped in front of me and one of them had a problem with her clothing. The customer was making a scene and you can tell the two behind the counter were stressing out. unsure if the issue was resolved the customer left and it was now my turn. right in front of me the young black male proceeded to say how he hated black people. I personally thought that was kind of odd seeing how the young man was black, but that is neither here nor there.
Once receiving my three garments back I noticed two of my pieces of clothing still had stains on them. I politely asked if there was anything they could do, the person who helped me said that whoever spotted it put a sorry tag on the garments and that they couldn't get it out without damage done to my garment. To me it barely looked like it had been washed let alone like they tried to do anything to it. I had a double crease in the pants I brought in, and the shirt looked ridiculous I couldn't even wear it after I brought it home. Just to mention I grabbed a rag and some hot water and got the stains right off, makes you think maybe they don't clean their clothes as good as they say they do. I for one will never be returning to this cleaner and will inform everyone I know that takes their clothes there not to return.
The last people I want to take my clothes to is somebody that's not going to clean them, be racist, rude and call people ugly when they are just coming in to get their clothes cleaned. For having three different owners in the past two years I wouldn't be surprised if this place got closed down or ended up needing a new owner this place sucks. I for one will be taking my clothes to Comet Cleaners right up the street on Tyler. read more
