I want to start off by saying that I am currently a member of the gym and I have been for quite…read moresome time. I am rating the gym ok at 3 stars for a variety of reasons. I am going to start out with the worst thing or most disliked thing about the gym is the programming. The programming has no cycling to it and it seems completely random. You will do a weightlifting movement building strength in some form of rep scheme and then never touch it again workout for months. I have taken the CrossFit level 1 Certificate Course and that is not the way CrossFit is to be programmed. Second thing on programming is the workouts themselves. I would say at least 50% of the workouts have movements in them that only 1% of the gym can accomplish (ring muscle ups, bar muscle ups, chest to bar, rope climbs, etc) and there is no training for outside the 10 minutes or so in the class. Finally I will refer to the workouts again. The workouts that are programmed make you very susceptible to injury. What I mean by this is that one high rep movement, high rep squat movement and then the very next day you will do the same movement with another workout (high rep squats day one and then snatch squats Just yesterday on January 23rd the workout included 150 wall-ball workout and then today January 24th you have programming where 185lbs is over your head squatting with a barbell (another example of 1% of the class being able to do the movement or lift the prescribed weight). As someone who been injured before repetitive movements is where it starts and it will not go away. I will weight the equipment at a 5 and that is what holds my score up to a 3 overall. Almost all of the equipment is Rogue Fitness which is a great brand with one object here and there that is not. I rate the the coaching at a 3 because most of them are nice and truly care for you when it comes to working out and safety but some of them have no idea what they are talking about in regards to weightlifting or cardio work. They do not want you talking to any other gym member about how you learned something (weightlifting, cardio, double-unders, etc). The training has to come from them from their mouth otherwise you are potentially be called out for saying anything. I also find disappointing that they want to pick your pockets for any type of training outside of a normal class. I have never seen this in a gym before ever and it is disappointing. With the cost of this membership there should be no reason to do that. Drinks and food are fair enough to charge outside of membership fees because they have an actual retail cost to them. Every gym that I have been to has always has volunteer movement activities and this is my 7th gym I have been a member of. I know CrossFit gyms tend to be more expensive than others but $200 for an unlimited membership and then if you want to learn a new movement with a limited amount of people is ridiculous. Now they recently came out with weightlifting programming and if you want to do it outside of being with a coach you have "apply" like a job interview. The gym is way overpriced for what you get. This is one of 2 gyms in the Dumfries/Woodbridge area so are forced to choose. It is not worth the time or money to charge to teach a movement. Gym manager is a funny guy and I respect him but there needs to be some serious overhaul in the programming and cost to benefit analysis. The gym has recently gone through a change in ownership with same people who were already leading it and I hope it is for the good. I sincerely hope that they are able to make changes, preferably soon.

Super nice gym with ample equipment. Dropped in for a class with trainer Chris - he was really…read morefriendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking to get a good workout in!
