We attended a weekend birthday party here and had an amazing time!…read more Kiddos age two to ten took over the ENTIRE gym and had free play on all the equipment ropes, swings, balance beam, vaults, and more while an experienced staff supervised and kept everyone safe. They were friendly, upbeat, and the same teachers from the daytime classes. I was especially worried about my youngest since she is teeny tiny, but they kept special watch over her and because of their supervision she was able to try out almost all of the same equipment as the big kids. After the event, guests were led upstairs for a pizza and cake in a private loft. Besides the fact that it smells like a gym (understandable because that's what it is), we all had a great, low-key, time. I hope our host ends up doing something like this again next year because it was a blast for everyone involved.

This is really a 3.5 star review, but as Yelp only allows full stars, I'll tilt to the 4!…read more We've been going here for awhile. My daughter attended a friend's birthday party here and we signed up for lessons. And so most of the review is geared towards that kind of experience. If you are just coming for a day and some fun though, it is 5 stars because the gym is fun and there's more than enough to keep kids entertained for well over an hour! The Good: The price for lessons (once a week) is very reasonable. My daughter has definitely learned a lot (she can now cartwheel and is working on flips. She can do crunches hanging on a bar and even shimmy a bit up a rope). More important, she really enjoys it and has continued to enjoy it over time (and she is someone who tends to burn out on activities pretty quickly). They have a big loft that parents can sit at and see the entire facility, which is nice. And they definitely do a good job balancing classes for committed gymnasts and those doing it as an extracurricular. The Bad: The location isn't great. There is very little parking there and it is so chaotic as people come and go that I'm amazed nobody's been injured in the scrum of arrival/departure (and it doesn't seem Novak's is interested in trying to manage the situation). There doesn't appear to be a lot of continuity in the instructors (i.e., they seem to change frequently) and I don't get much feedback on how my daughter is doing. The website could also be improved to include a more functional parent's portal. But the program and gym itself is good and the people are friendly. If you're looking for a good gymnastics program at a reasonable price, this is it.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and overall operations at this gym…read more The woman working at the front desk today was very rude and spoke in a condescending tone. Normally my husband takes our daughter to her class, but he had a dentist appointment today so I attended instead. After this experience, I honestly would have pulled my daughter out of this gym immediately. The substitute/manager I spoke with initially provided me with inaccurate information regarding my daughter moving up to the preschool class. Later, when I spoke with the front desk employee, she told me the teacher had been giving parents the wrong information all day and proceeded to reprimand the teacher in front of everyone when she returned. It was very unprofessional to witness staff correcting each other publicly. Afterward, the teacher attempted to backtrack by saying my daughter needed a lot of help. This had never been mentioned during the earlier conversation about the preschool class, especially considering there were only two children in the class at the time. This was also the first and only time this teacher had ever worked with my daughter. Her regular coach, Shay, was on vacation. Honestly, Coach Shay seems to be the only person holding this place together. The staff turnover is extremely high, which is very concerning. Considering the cost of tuition adds up to well over $1,000 per year, there should at least be some type of progress notes or communication system in place so parents receive clear and consistent information about their child's development. When I called back to speak with a manager, the same rude front desk employee transferred me to the same teacher she had just reprimanded -- presenting her as the manager. This only added to the confusion and lack of professionalism. Lastly, the facility itself is very outdated and unclean. There is a noticeable odor when you walk in, and the floors and equipment appear dusty and dirty. The cleanliness of a gym where children are constantly on the floor should be a top priority, but that clearly is not the case here. Because of this experience, they will not be receiving any more tuition from us.

I have loved seeing both my daughter and stepdaughter thrive in gymnastics at this gym. The only…read morething keeping it from 5 stars is the age of some of the equipment. I was brushing mat lint off of my daughter today after her workout. It would be awesome if they had a pit!

Seeing So Many People Say Bad Things I agree Especally With Special Needs Kids It's Bad May Even Be…read moreWorse Of course, this was around the 2010 Era But things could be better now after Youseffi's arrest We were searching for a program to help our son get the physical exercise he needed, and a friend referred us to GMS. Years ago, our autistic son worked with a former instructor, Cameron, for a gymnastics-themed one-hour workout, and he also participated in the Summer Minds In Motion Camp. Unfortunately, they don't know how to work with special needs children. Our son's session would start with five minutes on the trampoline to warm up, followed by floor exercises. If he got distracted or became uncooperative--which was common at the time--he was put in "timeout" on a dangerously high box for his size or forced to walk on the thin high beams without any training. If he jumped or fell off, they would just restart a five-minute timer and put him right back on. It felt unsafe and unhelpful I am surprised Our son never broke any bones and we never filed injury lawsuits it was this terrible. The summer camp was equally disorganized. The schedule was inconsistent, and we even witnessed instructors leaving computers logged into personal Amazon accounts within the children's reach. After seeing all of this, we pulled our son out and cannot endorse this academy for anything they offer.
