So it is a great way to be able to effectively keep yourself everywhere in case of an emergency as long as you can get to a Cumberland Farms. It was a Saturday and many of the local places were out of power, so it was busy. Their prices for items were comparable to other gas station mini-marts, and within a couple of minutes I was on my way. The staff weren't the friendliest, though to be honest the same could be said for some of the customers.

If I'm out of cash I might go in to get a drink, but it's that's about it. They DO have a car wash, which I've used a few times. I think you get a discount on gas if you decide to wash your vehicle. It's conveniently located, the pumps are well-lit, and it's open 24 hours.

So after messing around with it for a moment, I went inside to ask what the deal was, and a Comic Book Guy sort of dude working behind the counter was in no rush to even acknowledge my presence. He had an iPod, but the earbuds weren't even in his ears. Yeah, I'm sure you didn't notice me standing there, bud... Finally, he acknowledged me, and came off in a pretty condescending way. Listen, bro, I imagine I probably wouldn't be the happiest and most enthusiastic person working the overnight shift at a gas station, but take it easy. He explained to me that he was "really low" on 93 octane. OK, what about the others? Well, he wasn't sure, but he said my best bet was to try 89. ...sigh. Fine. So I go outside, select 89, and start pumping... it goes incredibly slowly, and stops at $0.98. At this point, I said screw it, and drove further along to get gas somewhere else.

When it gets busy, there can be a bit of a line waiting your turn. Even though there are pumps set up for gas tanks on both the driver's and passenger's sides, and arrows suggesting how to enter and exit, you always have those folks who will ignore the arrows and those waiting in line to back into a spot or drive around and come in from the back. Watch out for those folks. I'm docking them 1 star for bad signage. The sign before entering the gas area was definitely out of date. It showed a gas price fifteen cents lower than today's actual price. I'm wondering whether they're short staffed, too lazy to update the sign, or whether they think folks will be more interested in getting gas, then learning the price is higher but will stay anyway. C'mon, everyone coming here is already a BJs customer and knows the price is lower. The do need to remember one other thing... the Costco opening a couple of miles away in 2026 will also sell gas.

The tap and and pay payment feature on the pumps doesn't work, and pumps are frequently out of service. Overall, the lower price makes up for it. One thing I've heard is that busier gas stations get refilled more often, so the sediment never has time to settle, and the gas is not as clean. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but I haven't had any issues here.

It is a very brightly lit gas station for families or women stopping by here.
