Terrible customer service. I've been a customer for six years and the only reason I still rent here is because I haven't made the time to move my stuff to a new storage facility. They repeatedly send "Action Required" emails asking me to confirm my zip code and saying they don't have proof of insurance on file. I have emailed this information over and over and they never respond. Then I get another notice saying if they don't receive a copy of my policy, they will automatically enroll me and charge me for a Tenant Protection Plan. I've left voicemail messages as well that were not acknowledged. This place is not worth the inconvenience. Also, while the initial rate was competitive, it is now way overpriced due to frequent rent increases. read more

I usually do not write reviews, but I have to this time. We could not have had a better experience in our storage as we did with US Storage Centers in Murfreesboro, TN. From our first call to our closing our account the management was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel like they really were there for us. The storage and the grounds were well kept and always clean. You didn't feel bad when you had to go to the unit to get something. Thank you for being a truly wonderful company. read more

Dont from here because they raised monthly payment without telling me and then they also double charge me and they do not want to admitted it. They just want to take your money when you don't have to pay it. read more

The only good thing about my experience here was John was really nice. However, I went to my unit to move my stuff out of storage to discover that all of my things were covered in feces from mice and there were holes in my boxes from where they chewed through. The movers even refused to move the things because it was so bad and the health risk and they heard rustling from the mice who very much still in the storage area. I learned from management that it had been a problem for awhile thanks to another tenant leaving boxes of food in their unit (before John got there), but I was never notified of the problem. I've since had to get all new things. The storage unit has a clause that the protection plan I bought doesn't cover damage due to an infestation and the max I would receive is $500 for over $10k worth of stuff. Oh, and the district manager Carlos lied to me about this. He told me that I would receive more than the protection plan limit because the insurance company would send out claims adjusters to assess my items. He told me not to worry that the protection plan was such a low amount because my stuff was worth more than that and the claims people would adjust for that. That's wasn't true. As you can see in the pictures, feces were everywhere. I've included pictures of my unit, but also pictures of the hallway in the facility where you can see feces there and outside other units (no telling how bad it is in the actual units). I have videos, but Google isn't allowing those. You can also see in the picture that someone left their furniture (covered in mouse pee) and a box of food in the hallway area, which were there for at least a week. read more

I needed to store my things here and was a customer for 10 months. I paid $135 a month and when I went to pick up my things on the 7th of the new month I opened my "climate controlled" unit to find that rats had been living in my unit all winter. There was poop and pee on EVERYTHING. They even stashed food/seeds under my furniture. Also, I had no food in my unit at all. When I told the staff about my unit they basically shrugged their shoulders and said oh no. I asked if they could pro rate my last month since I moved out on the 7th and was charged an additional $135 and they said no. I am extremely upset about my experience with this storage place for the price I paid for so long and the customer service. read more

I have to admit, this outfit does what it can to keep the customers happy. Within 24 hours of posting a review, I was contacted by the owner and he had one of his district managers (Kenneth) give me a call. Kenneth was very polite, and went through all of my concerns one by one. The explanation that I received as to the reason for the substantial rent increase was not that there was an increase in operating expenses, but rather "what the market could bear." Personally, I would think that getting to that higher rent would be received better by doing so via attrition, but I am not in the storage business. Regardless of the reason, Kenneth understood my frustration and offered a compromise on the price. I'd have to say that even though the rent is still going up somewhat, I am impressed with the attention that was paid to my concerns. That goes a long way in my book. read more

I am relocating to Murfreesboro and needed a good storage place to store my extra belongings. Such an easy process to reserve online (and it gave you a discount) I just showed up on the day I had chosen to reserve it and it was seamless. Frank helped us get the paperwork started and it all took less than 5 minutes. The next day I came to move my belongings in and the unit latch was not working right and he came right outside to fix our issue. Best experience I've had with moving! Very good and fast service. They have Website to manage your unit. Pin access to gate. Good hour for access, I think the gate don't open after 10pm. I joined with the special which give you free truck rental and 50% off first three months. That was pretty cool. read more

I was shopping around for a unit, and the prices and specials initially brought me to US Storage Centers. The staff, however, quickly helped me make my decision to stop looking and rent here! Magda Pierce welcomed me to the facility and immediately showed me around. I was in a bit of a rush, and (as I previously mentioned) not really planning on renting the unit today. The whole process was quick, easy, professional, and comfortable. Thank you Magda and Frank for a few laughs and a wonderful experience while finding the perfect place for my storage needs! After over 4 years of storing my belongings at US Storage in Murfreesboro since my profession as an artist had me going back and forth from New York City to Nashville, I found a more permanent residence in Murfreesboro and took my belongings out of storage. My experience with US Storage and the staff and district management was quite satisfactory. The grounds are well lit and maintained and access is easy and secure. I felt my paintings and belongings were safe. I appreciate the service for that length of time and would return should I decide to travel again. Thank you very much to management. I can relate with reviewer Allen M. about skyrocketing rates. My rates have constantly increased from $109 to $119 so I condensed my 3 units to 2 units(I had to get 3 units because I was moving from a 4 bedroom house in Murfreesboro to a 2 bedroom condo in Nashville), then my rates went from $119 to $131 to $144 to $158 so I again condensed my units down from 2 to 1 unit and a parking space. Then yesterday, I went to get something out of my unit only to find that my car that I had in a rented parking space, had been hit by another vehicle who took off. I know that the storage center is not responsible for the damage but they did also tell me that I didn't need insurance on my car. I made sure to ask because they make you have insurance in your units. The mgr was nice and apologized when I called to tell them what I found but it would of been nice for them to offer me a couple of months of free parking since I've been a customer of theirs for 3.5 years and the person that hit my car is also a customer of theirs. read more

Process was easy but...I called the call center to reserve the unit and make an appointment to finalize the paperwork. The woman I spoke with was very helpful and made quick work of setting up the reservation. I inquired as to what I needed to bring with me when I signed the paperwork. I was told just my ID and payment. Turns out that I am also required to have insurance, which she neglected to tell me. I was forced to pay for the company's insurance until I can provide a copy of my homeowner's policy declaration page. The guy in the office said that happens a lot. I would have been happy to bring my documents with me. Now it cost me extra money... not sure if the omission was on purpose or not to get a few extra bucks out of me.
