I had just gotten back from a field exercise and was heading into another one the very next day. I was unable to reach the site manager to Rectify the issue. I was also unable to retrieve my stuff. When the lady did call back the next day she was rude and unprofessional. Money wasn't the issue; for customers who come and pay for their storage months in advance they don't hesitate to swipe your card! But they couldn't even send a courtesy email or text regarding my unit. Instead they deactivated my gate code and double locked my unit! Won't be storing my stuff with them again!

The manager Denise was of great assistance during the time I needed the storage unit. Unlike other companies I called I was provided with a prorated price of no more than $30 for the three weeks I used the storage unit. Not only that but the manager was very helpful and even offered me a free lock being I did not have one. I will most likely be returning in the near future when or if I need a storage unit again.

They asked for photos of the damage which I sent in but they refuse to send me the pictures they took so I could compare. Sent a generic form which only states the .60Lb and not the extra I paid for. On the form it asks a Claim Amount. Very wishy washy when it comes to damage and how to file a claim. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Terrible customer service and dirty units. Initially, the manager was extremely…read morehelpful, offering a military discount which I never received as well as a free lock I never received. However, after renting for several months, we needed a larger unit, I sent an email, but received no response. On the 4th of the month, a Saturday, the right sized larger unit was available so we moved our things into the larger unit which required payment of the service fee once again along with that month's rent. A note on the unit - it was full of mouse droppings that we had to clean up. In addition, a dead cockroach was also found. Monday, I contacted the manager to cancel my previous unit and transfer any remaining amount paid to my new unit. However, I was told that because I moved after the first, (it was only the 4th) that I would not be provided any type of credit. In addition, I mentioned the email that was sent and she denied receipt. I paid for two units for the entire month, while they were able to rent out my old space again to receive two payments on it in one month. Shady business practices. I should've done my research prior to moving in because this isn't the first time this business has taken advantage of our service members. Further, there are several cleaner and cheaper units in the area who do not require setup fees and offer up to a 10% military discount. Spend your money elsewhere and support a business that does the right thing and supports our military men and women.

As a military family, we have moved in and out of Clarksville several times. We have used All…read moreAmerican Storage every time because of Mike. He has always been extremely helpful, kind, considerate, honest, and thankful for our business. His prices are fair, storage units are clean, and he will work with you to get you in a unit that works best for your needs. He will talk to you and help you as much as he can, but he isn't going to sit around and talk all day. (If you are moving you don't have time for that either.) Mike is a busy man, that doesn't have time for nonsense, he is straight to the point and I truly appreciated that about him. Thank you, Mike, for all that you did for us over the years. See you next time we move back to Clarksville!
