I've been incorrectly overcharged for late fees and additional rent TWICE within months of notifying the company. I was told to vacate my unit after expressing my concerns and then charged for the month anyways WITH late fees already added for February. (it's 1/31) and haven't heard back from management in over a week. Management is ignoring the issues. After scrolling through other reviews, this is not an isolated incident. Keep track of all your invoices if you choose to use this company. They will scam you into paying additional rent and unnecessary fees then cover it up with each management change. I can't even go back to previous invoices with the new online system. As a veteran myself, not even living in the same state as the unit currently, it's become increasingly more difficult to make sure my things are stored properly without issue, this is completely unacceptable.

One of the main reasons people visit different dealerships is to collect their local dealership shirts, but this store had very minimal inventory -- almost nothing to choose from. When I asked an employee if that was really all the selection they had, she had to go check, which tells me they weren't even aware of how little was available. That lack of awareness, combined with the poor selection, made the trip feel like a waste. I was greeted when I walked in, but overall the service was not great. For a Harley-Davidson dealership, I expected more. This is the first Harley store I've ever left disappointed.

When the lady did call back the next day she was rude and unprofessional. Money wasn't the issue; for customers who come and pay for their storage months in advance they don't hesitate to swipe your card! Once I got into the unit the door slammed shut and I was trapped in the unit. Thank God a couple was at their unit beside mine and they heard me calling for help from inside the unit. ( I was terrified) They struggled to get the door open and I finally got out. When I started to walk out of the unit, the door came crashing down and had I not jumped out of the way it would have crashed down on me. I called the True friends office to report this. I was told that they were in the process of replacing some doors that were off their tracks. And it would be changed out in Dec. I received a call the first of Jan. stating the parts were in and the door would be fixed. I received another call last week stating they are still waiting on the parts. I have not been able to access my unit since mid November but True Friends is still charging my card $195.00 monthly storage fee. December $195.00 January $195.00 February $195.00 due on 2/5/2025 I feel like I'm being scammed and lied to. I have left several messages and still waiting to here back re: REIMBURSEMENT. WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO RESOLVE ALL THIS? Me getting trapped again in a unit and freeze to death!!!!! And still charging my card!

However, after renting for several months, we needed a larger unit, I sent an email, but received no response. On the 4th of the month, a Saturday, the right sized larger unit was available so we moved our things into the larger unit which required payment of the service fee once again along with that month's rent. A note on the unit - it was full of mouse droppings that we had to clean up. In addition, a dead cockroach was also found. Monday, I contacted the manager to cancel my previous unit and transfer any remaining amount paid to my new unit. However, I was told that because I moved after the first, (it was only the 4th) that I would not be provided any type of credit. In addition, I mentioned the email that was sent and she denied receipt. I paid for two units for the entire month, while they were able to rent out my old space again to receive two payments on it in one month. Shady business practices. I should've done my research prior to moving in because this isn't the first time this business has taken advantage of our service members. Further, there are several cleaner and cheaper units in the area who do not require setup fees and offer up to a 10% military discount. Spend your money elsewhere and support a business that does the right thing and supports our military men and women.
