Matcha soy and black sesame!
Meri T.

Love this mom and pop soymilk shop! Our favorites are strawberry and corn soy milk! But taking #1 is the Japanese style tofu dessert with azuki! The younger girl who works here is super nice and helpful. They always allow free samples before you buy! Inside is a little cramped, but it's part of its charm I think :)

Sign in the front

This place is a hidden gem. Literally, I couldn't find where to enter but it is just around the right corner of the sign in the front. Pro tip: Call ahead to make sure they have the flavor that you want in stock. The soy milk here is very fragrant. I love strawberry and the strawberry soy milk made me think of a strawberry tofu pudding I had from a grocery store before with subtle sweetness. The black sesame is thicker and more creamy. My family said that it had more black sesame flavor than soy milk flavor. The soy milk here is good but pretty expensive. If you bring a clean small bottle back, you get .50 off and if you bring a clean large bottle back, you get $1 off. Ambiance: The workers are nice and let you try samples before you buy. There are a few parking spots in the front.

I've always wanted to check this spot out and now I'm here. This place is a small lowkey spot that's easy to miss. The people who own it are very kind. They let me try every flavor. My favorites were the corn and black sesame soy milk. I ended up buying a small black sesame soy milk for later. Try it out if you like. :)

A whole store just selling soy milk and some other soy products! Who knew we needed one but now I am glad we do. Note that it's hard to find without a lot of signage so pay attention. The lady inside was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She generously let me and a couple of other customers try several types of soy milk. I settled for the cocoa milk and soy pudding. I am not a fan of the beans the pudding came with but the pudding with honey was perfect. What a delightful store...I am a fan.

Pulled up Yelp to find a fun little treat in the area and found this place! A bit of a hole in the wall - it'd be hard to stumble upon this place since it's in between a tire shop and some homes(?). Street parking just in front or you could probably park right in front of the store or off to the side but it's unpaved. They were super friendly and generous with samples, offered us to try anything as soon as we entered! We tried the black sesame (one of their best sellers), matcha (not too strong of a matcha flavor in my opinion), corn (my favorite- sooo delicious and slightly sweet), red bean (loved the whole red beans in this one). I loved how smooth and silky and thick the soy milks were. Will definitely be back to get more corn soy milk!! Delicious if you love soy milk. You can bring back the containers for .50 off (small size) off your next purchase.

Cucumber and apricot kernel soy milks

I got to sample a bunch of their flavors when Soypresso was at a recent Taiwanese American cultural festival in SF; I tried the chocolate, apricot kernel, and rose, and I had wanted to try the corn and matcha too, but those had already run out. Ultimately we decided to buy the cucumber and apricot kernel. The cucumber has a refreshing taste that somehow works even though it is not a combo I would ever have thought of for soy milk and I don't know what apricot kernel tastes like normally, but I did feel it tasted somehow a little savory and also floral in a way that made it more interesting than standard soy milk. They are pretty pricey for a pretty small amount though, but I did like it better than I usually like soy milk. I hope to see them come up with even more unique flavors.

A really cute family owned business with creamy fresh soy milk! We came right before they closed, and the owners were so kind and welcoming. They gave us so many samples; so we got to try all the unique soy milk flavors. The soy milk is on the thicker side, so I like to dilute mine a little. But it's so flavorful and creamy.

Corn and Matcha
Lauren B.

Stopped by on a Saturday morning to give this place a try. We were offered samples to try any flavor we'd like as soon as we entered! We ended up purchasing the corn and matcha - was pleasantly surprised by the corn! Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're a fan of soy milk to try something different and unique. These soy milks are definitely on the thicker side so it feels heavier if you've never had it before.

Red bean soymilk

Very cute tiny shop. We were offered samples right when we walked in and I definitely wish the corn milk was in stock. Only thing that was unfortunate was that we were offered samples of so many flavors that were already sold out. Settled on red bean and it tasted refreshing and sweet. Very personable service and I'd definitely come right at opening bc it seems they sell out fast!

Please support this soymilk shop! It's a very tiny shop and they make the soymilk in house which you can see right when you walk in. They also offer very generous samples to taste the ones you're interested in. I tried the matcha, black sesame and adzuki bean soymilk. Ultimately I purchased a small adzuki bean soymilk for $7. The cashier told me that that was their "sweetest" one. I don't think any of the soymilks are sweetened with anything, at least I couldn't taste it. I actually wish there was sugar in the matcha and black sesame because it was extremely light in flavor. Nevertheless, all soymilks were extremely light, smooth and creamy. SO DELICIOUS.

Original / plain light sweet :) Thick and creamy soy milk!

*update* I got to try the strawberry at the lunar new year festival in South San Francisco! YUM! Top tier: Plain light sugar, strawberry, corn! The boys that help me are always very sweet! There's a language barrier but there's no barrier to good food and drinks! My bottles always come nicely packed and clean :)

Great soy milk and made in-house (you'll see to your right as you enter)! The soy milk tasted so fresh, smooth, and not too sweet. It was my first time coming so I got to try a few samples and ended up leaving with matcha and black sesame. The lady was so patient and friendly. While we were there I also saw the fresh batch of roasted black sesame seeds come out. Very kind and small establishment with high quality soy milk! I will definitely be back to get a larger bottle. Also bring back your bottle for a little discount on your next purchase.

Can I preorder through any APP?

Yes, you can preorder through the Yamimeal App, same price as in store!

Do they recycling their own bottles? I been buying alot and those are high quality bottles, Too many are piling up but feel bad to just throw it into trash (my apartment doesn't ♻️)

Yes if you bring the empty bottle back will have up to $1/bottle on purchase

Which ones are unsweetened?

There's only one soy milk that's unsweetened and it's the original flavor. All the soy milks in my opinion, are just lightly sweetened. When you visit, the lovely ladies will offer you samples of each soy milk so you can see for yourself :)!

As I slowly work my way back to my old self, I stopped by here recently to get some food for myself w/o guilt. I do enjoy the keto pizza. I just wished the macros are available. It turns out they have two sides to their business. The "farmacy" side of the business has an austere, clinical vibe. In that section they sell topicals, edibles, gummies, pre-rolls, tinctures, and more. The smoke shop side of the business has lots of colorful spray-painted artwork on the walls that looks like graffiti. There is something interesting (mainly glass pipes and bongs) everywhere you look. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. I had already picked out the two creams I wanted to try from their website, so I showed him pictures of them, but they only had one in stock. He assured me the one they had would be good for my hands, so I bought it. It was expensive at $60, but worth it to me if it calms the inflammation. I started to leave, but then went back and asked if they had gummies that would help me sleep. He kindly gave me a small sample pack to try before bed. My trip to CBD Farmacy felt like a fun little adventure. I tried the cream on my hands when I got home and it reduced the inflammation immediately and made my hands feel super soft, but I had to apply more a couple hours later. It absorbed well and wasn't greasy at all.

There's another lady too, she's got curly blond hair, short (or maybe she wears it up) and she works in the deli, or at least she used to. I haven't seen her recently, but she was always super nice as well. Pro tip, look for their deals! Sometimes their pizza will be really cheap from their frozen section. This store somehow manages to carry half the inventory of every other Whole Foods and then confidently leans into the "every store is different" line like it's a personality trait. Yes, I get that stores vary -- but this one feels like it's running a minimalist experiment the rest of us didn't sign up for. Friendliness is not an option. And let's talk about $1 Oyster Fridays. The oysters are there. The shuckers are there. The vibe? "Absolutely not." They flat-out refuse to shuck them for you, which feels like selling pizza and refusing to slice it because "every pizzeria is different." The real kicker, though, is the energy. The staff acts like friendliness is an optional add-on that didn't make it past budget cuts. I'm not asking for a standing ovation when I walk in -- just basic, Whole Foods-level pleasantness. That's kind of the brand, right? I'll still shop at Whole Foods. Just not this one -- unless I'm in the mood for oysters I have to shuck myself and a side of attitude. The staff at Almaden are All Rockstars!!
