We set up a date to meet with JD Zlab and he went over our ideas, offered suggestions, and gave us a ball park figure that let us know whether we could afford to move forward. There is financing available if needed. We did and destruction and construction started soon. We got to know the talented workers over the next couple weeks. They were extremely hard-working men that we trusted. They asked a few questions but they had done this job enough to know exactly what to do. We were amazed at how accurate all cuts to the boards and trims were. We have not found one mistake. We were also pleased that when they knew we were having a holiday party, they came and finished the last item that morning so everything was perfect for our day. It was quoted at ~$8k and after beginning the job that increased to ~$9k with an approved change order, which was fine. I would say the job began OK and Ethan did a fair job on the demo and framing. His detail work however was sloppy, leaving bad scratches all over the new tub. He tried to cover them but only made it worse. The tub will have to be reglazed to fix it. Moreover he or his sub installed the diverted incorrectly and we got a bid for $1340 to fix that. Really the worst part has been his unreliability and broken promises. Our tenant has given up so much time to be stood up, delayed, etc. We finally had no choice but to end the contract, and unfortunately we were nice enough to pay almost all of the contract in advance after he asked if we could help him to pay his guys. We are left holding the bag, which is our fault for paying him in advance when the job wasn't close to being done. I would run from this guy.

We love our beautiful new fence!…read more I provided Brandon at BSB with the design for a non-capped rail picture framed spaced picket all cedar fence, and BSB made it happen for me and my neighbor. Our neighbor wanted the same design we had our hearts set on. Brandon from BSB came out to bid both jobs, I already had the fence in mind I was looking for and asked Brandon for 8 different pricings (different configurations, me being difficult but I want what I want) and he was able to provide them to me the SAME day unlike others I wanted bids from. BSB came out and set the new rough cut 4x4 cedar posts on day 1 and finished framing the all cedar fence on day 2 (next day). When the crew came out they were great at paying attention to detail and making use of extra dirt putting dirt where we needed it on the sides of the house where over time it had been washed away. They didn't leave a bunch of trash or scrap or tools on the job. Love how well the gates work and quality of material wood/gate hardware used. The BSB crew were really nice guys and were a pleasure to work with. Our price was very fair and reasonable. Also we were able to save money by pulling the old fence out hauling off before BSB installed and sealing the new fence our-selfs after BSB installed. Our fence is very solid as we have 2 big dogs that like to put their paws on the fence and this fence does a great job of keeping them in and dealing with their weight. We used a clear transparent seal (Penofin) on the cedar fence to add the final multi-tone color and protection. To top it all off we added 4x4 Imperial Black Aluminum Classy Caps Solar Caps to all posts, it really sets it off and makes for a beautiful look as you walk down the walking trail day or night. Since we have a walking trail behind the house we have received nothing but compliment after compliment day after day about how beautiful our new fences are. We think it was a great investment, keeps our big dogs in easily, and just looks amazing adding to the beautiful secluded walking trail environment look. The Lenexa company felt my location in Blue Springs Missouri was too far away to send someone to look at the job, was probably too inexpensive a job, and recommended I call someone local to my home. Of course the person who called said it was a busy season and it would be months before they could send someone to my location. So much for checking Yelp for a "good" gutter installer.
