The entire process was really easy. Our Sales rep, JD, made the experience worthwhile. He was very…read moreprofessional and very responsive to every question or request that we had. He never left us hanging, even after the project started. The crew was equally amazing. They were very professional and communicated with us every step of the way. This was our first deck build and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend All Weather Decks for any project and would highly recommend JD.

Really Sharp Looking Deck All Weather Decks has excelled at…read moreevery stage of our deck rebuild. Our deck was 20 years old, the boards were spongy, and it was a bit small. We wanted to add square footage and put a roof over it. We set up a date to meet with JD Zlab and he went over our ideas, offered suggestions, and gave us a ball park figure that let us know whether we could afford to move forward. There is financing available if needed. We did and destruction and construction started soon. We got to know the talented workers over the next couple weeks. They were extremely hard-working men that we trusted. They asked a few questions but they had done this job enough to know exactly what to do. We were amazed at how accurate all cuts to the boards and trims were. We have not found one mistake. We were also pleased that when they knew we were having a holiday party, they came and finished the last item that morning so everything was perfect for our day. We read the reviews and chose AWD based on the kind words others had to say. We agree and highly recommend. You will not be disappointed using All Weather Decks.

I hate leaving bad reviews, but I have no choice here. We are a Rental Property management company…read morethat hired Ethan (EC Projects) for a bath remodel. It was quoted at ~$8k and after beginning the job that increased to ~$9k with an approved change order, which was fine. I would say the job began OK and Ethan did a fair job on the demo and framing. His detail work however was sloppy, leaving bad scratches all over the new tub. He tried to cover them but only made it worse. The tub will have to be reglazed to fix it. Moreover he or his sub installed the diverted incorrectly and we got a bid for $1340 to fix that. Really the worst part has been his unreliability and broken promises. Our tenant has given up so much time to be stood up, delayed, etc. We finally had no choice but to end the contract, and unfortunately we were nice enough to pay almost all of the contract in advance after he asked if we could help him to pay his guys. We are left holding the bag, which is our fault for paying him in advance when the job wasn't close to being done. I would run from this guy.

We'd had a termite infestation in our home that damaged a main support beam and many of the struts…read morein the house's frame, and we needed a contractor to repair it. Ethan with EC Projects was the first to respond and the reviews were good, so we went with them. They got the damaged struts and beam replaced, and new drywall and insulation put up. The first issue occurred when the spackle was applied. The guy doing the spackling left spackle handprints all over the bannister and woodwork around the work area, as well as on the carpet. I let Ethan know and they did clean most of it up except for a few spots. This wasn't a big deal since the spackle comes up easily with water. The next issue came up with the paint. Ethan cut a small square out of the wall to take in to get a color match. He assured me the team would fill it in and repaint the spot. This was not done. I pointed it out to the workers when the project was finished and they would not do it. Again, I let it go, since it was small and in an unobtrusive spot. The paint they put up did match the color, but was a satin finish, instead of the semigloss that is on the rest of the interior. I didn't bother pointing this out, since I wanted the project to be done and it wasn't that noticeable. The workers had also taken down the curtain brackets when they replaced the drywall and painted. These were the brackets that held up the curtain rod and the hook on the wall that held open the curtains on the side. They would not put these back up after they had finished painting. I had to do that myself. Next issue was for the wooden support post for the railing around the work area. This was attached inside the wall before the project started, and it had to be detached in order replace that part of the frame. It did not seem that it was re-attached the same way, because two large screws and an empty screw hole were drilled into the outside of the post. I pointed this out to workers and they just said it was something they had to do. Next was a piece of trim they removed during painting, and replaced with a new piece of trim. The workers did not bother to match the stain with the existing trim, and it was stained much darker than the rest of the trim in the house, and there was a big handprint in it. The workers would not fix this either. There were also some areas where paint was spilled over onto the trim, and some chips taken out of the trim. Again, I did not bother pointing this out because it was small and the trim had some existing damage anyway. Cracks also formed in the ceiling in one area where they replaced the frame. Now the small stuff was adding up. During the beam and frame replacement, the workers, drilled several screw holes, or removed nails, in the exterior siding, and they did not fill them in again. I only discovered these after they left, so I did not have a chance to bring it up with the workers. A day or two after the workers left, on 7/21, Ethan came by to pick up the extra drywall and insulation that wasn't needed, so I showed him the only two remaining items I wanted fixed, which were the holes in the siding and the misstained trim. I was willing to let everything else go if they could fix these two items. Ethan agreed those should be fixed and assured me they would do it. He said he would get back to me on when they would come back out. Two days later, I still had not heard from anyone, so I followed up with Ethan. It was Wednesday, 7/23, and he replied that they would come out that Friday, the 25th. When Friday came, Ethan texted me saying it would rain all day, and they would be out th e following week. That Monday, he texted me saying they would be out on Tuesday. But on Tuesday he texted me saying the workers were struggling in the heat. (They were due at 4:30 in the afternoon and the siding is on the shaded side of the house. The trim, of course, is indoors in the air conditioning.) He said he would come out the next day, but on Wednesday he texted me again saying it wasn't dry enough and it was supposed to rain again. He was due at 4:30 pm and my forecast said the rain wasn't supposed to start until 7:30 pm, but he said he would come out on the following Friday, 8/1. Again I agreed and emphasized I wanted the project to be done soon. (It did not rain that day.) Friday came and I did not hear from him. So I texted him again asking what happened and he said he had a family emergency and couldn't make it out, and asked me what time he should show up, but by this time I was done, and I told him to forget it, I would do it myself. Ethan apologized and said he wouldn't reschedule again, but I was tired of dealing with it by this time, ten days had now passed since I showed Ethan the damage, and I could have had it done by then if I had just done it myself in the first place. Ethan seemed sincere, but overall I cannot recommend EC Projects.

BSB Fence and Deck

BSB Fence and Deck

We love our beautiful new fence!…read more I provided Brandon at BSB with the design for a non-capped rail picture framed spaced picket all cedar fence, and BSB made it happen for me and my neighbor. Our neighbor wanted the same design we had our hearts set on. Brandon from BSB came out to bid both jobs, I already had the fence in mind I was looking for and asked Brandon for 8 different pricings (different configurations, me being difficult but I want what I want) and he was able to provide them to me the SAME day unlike others I wanted bids from. BSB came out and set the new rough cut 4x4 cedar posts on day 1 and finished framing the all cedar fence on day 2 (next day). When the crew came out they were great at paying attention to detail and making use of extra dirt putting dirt where we needed it on the sides of the house where over time it had been washed away. They didn't leave a bunch of trash or scrap or tools on the job. Love how well the gates work and quality of material wood/gate hardware used. The BSB crew were really nice guys and were a pleasure to work with. Our price was very fair and reasonable. Also we were able to save money by pulling the old fence out hauling off before BSB installed and sealing the new fence our-selfs after BSB installed. Our fence is very solid as we have 2 big dogs that like to put their paws on the fence and this fence does a great job of keeping them in and dealing with their weight. We used a clear transparent seal (Penofin) on the cedar fence to add the final multi-tone color and protection. To top it all off we added 4x4 Imperial Black Aluminum Classy Caps Solar Caps to all posts, it really sets it off and makes for a beautiful look as you walk down the walking trail day or night. Since we have a walking trail behind the house we have received nothing but compliment after compliment day after day about how beautiful our new fences are. We think it was a great investment, keeps our big dogs in easily, and just looks amazing adding to the beautiful secluded walking trail environment look. We have nothing but good things to say about BSB and crew as they did a steller job installing the new fence and we can safely say that we would happily recommend BSB Fence & Deck for any new installation or repair. KUDOS TO THE BSB FENCE & DECK CREW!!!
