The conversation started well, but then he started asking probing questions as to why I was doing what I was doing. Now, I am not a person that likes my actions question as to why? I just don't think that I need to explain why I am doing anything, especially when I am going to spend thousands of dollars. This ultimately lead to a heated argument and the cancellation of the appointment. It did not take long to fill the vacant slot with another company which won my business and was very appreciative.

Update 09/24/20: I did receive a call from the same admin this morning. She did reference my posted review. I was able to schedule an appointment for this weekend. Original 09/24/20: I would love to be able to give a firsthand account of their professionalism AND quality of work. In fact, I did reach out to them originally because their reviews on Google are overwhelmingly positive. Unfortunately, after two calls out to the business to request an assessment and estimate for a home I'm under contract to purchase, and being told twice I'd be called back with the field person's availability, I've not received a callback. I was told both times he would only be available evenings or weekends; I told the admin with whom I spoke that that's fine as I'm fairly flexible. Still, I explained on the second call I made that time is of the essence in my situation (inspection periods only last so long) so I asked that they either let me know promptly when he might be able to meet me, or just tell me he doesn't have time so I can reach out to someone else. Still nothing--and I was made to feel as if I was wasting the admin's time judging by her tone of voice and not saying "goodbye" before disconnecting the call. They may do good work, but if you're looking for responsiveness and professionalism, look elsewhere.

It seems in today's world so many people never even show up. Nextdoor is really the most amazing place to go for referrals, everyone just jumps in to help each other. I hired Kelvyn Mason, owner of MASON WORX LLC. He is on next door also. He has an A+ BBB rating. Where do I begin? I posted on nextdoor looking for referrals as I wanted to have a slanted flat patio roof replaced and built. I set up appointments and met 11 different people. I should say also that 9 individuals never returned my phone call. It's definitely a different world today that's for sure. I knew after 5 minutes of meeting him and going over my ideas and plans that I would be hiring Mason Worx. Rarely and I mean rarely do I ever get that kind of a feeling when I'm interviewing companies for something that I want done. Kelvyn came across in our visit like someone I had known my whole life, like a friend. He wasn't pushy or arrogant or watching his phone. He focused on me and what I had to say. Some of the other people I met I cannot say that about. I hired him and his crew and let me tell you my slanted patio roof is awesome and he was able to build this within MY budget. I told him what I wanted to spend and he made it possible. I was so impressed beyond belief that I showed him two other projects next on my list and asked him to bid them out and we discussed the details of the work. I gladly gave those two jobs also to them. Very very very happy and satisfied. MASON - WORX does all things construction and repair, all painting interior and exterior, roofing, electrical, tile, windows, flooring. I really don't think there's anything that they don't do. I know they have built barns even. They are priced much much lower than other companies, it's not about bankrupting someone it's about HELPING someone. That just speaks volumes to me of the character. From now on, Kelvyn Mason will be the one person I refer to everybody for everything. When I was meeting companies for this project I was amazed at how overpriced some of them were. Up to almost double what I paid. One contractor I interviewed had just under a $50,000 complaint against him at the BBB. It seems they took people's money up front and then didn't do the work. I think it's kind of ballsy to assume that a homeowner is not going to check these things after they interview. In today's world everyone has to be careful the scams are on every single street corner. I'm telling you, no matter what you're looking for call MASON-WORX , kelvyn Mason is the owner and have them come and look at your situation. You will find the first thing out of Kelvyn's mouth won't be the cost it will be different solutions to your problem with options, not just one way, with some astronomical expense.
