US Postal Service - The hard work put into saving the package

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the team at this location, especially Carl, Sedona,…read moreand Jeff. I stopped by after hours to drop off a small prepaid package in the self-service package drop, and somehow it became completely jammed inside the mechanism. The package was so stuck that the mailer and shipping label started ripping when we tried to remove it, and I was convinced the item inside, a delicate lace top, was going to be ruined. Carl, Sedona, and Jeff went completely above and beyond to help me. Even though it was after hours, all three of them spent probably 30 minutes carefully working to free the package without damaging the item inside. At one point I was literally telling them not to worry about saving it because I felt so bad about how much effort it was taking, but they were determined to help. Somehow, they managed to get the package out and the lace top was completely untouched! They then repackaged it for me, replaced the damaged shipping label, and made sure it was ready to continue on its way. I offered to bring them coffee or do something to thank them, and they simply told me they were doing their jobs and that a review would be appreciated. So, here is the very well-deserved review! Carl, Sedona, and Jeff turned what I was certain was going to be a ruined item and refunded customer into a completely resolved situation. They were patient, kind, helpful, and genuinely cared about getting my package safely on its way. I'm incredibly grateful for the time and effort they put into helping me, especially after hours. USPS is lucky to have employees like them, and I hope their management sees this because they absolutely deserve recognition!

This post office is AWFUL!!! Employees are lazy. They can care less about how to help their clients…read more(and employees). They lose packages repeatedly. I hate that I live in their zip code

Last Christmas, I wanted to mail a gift to a friend in Maryland -- a signed John Waters poster we…read morereceived when we saw his show at The Rio in December. It wasn't a large poster, only about 12 inches long, and I rolled it up in a small mailing tube and took it to my local post office to mail. To my surprise, I could not mail the poster to the US. The Canada Post employee told me that since a certain person was elected president, there are now tariffs on everything larger than a letter mailed from Canada to the US, and I would need to download an app on my phone and enter all my information to declare the item and pay the tariff. Of course I wasn't thrilled on paying tariffs on the poster, but that wasn't the issue -- the issue was having to download a fucking APP and entering all my information on my PHONE. It wouldn't have been as bad if I could enter my information on my computer, but nope, that was not an option -- I had to download an APP and enter all this information on a small phone with my fat fingers and bad eyesight. HELL NO. So I told my friend that he was not getting his gift in time for Christmas, and that I would mail it from the US when I went to Nashville at the end of February. But trying to find a post office in Nashville was actually not that easy. I assumed there would be a post office somewhere downtown, but the closest one was at least a 45 minute walk away from our hotel, and even though there was supposedly a UPS nearby, I couldn't find it. Thankfully I discovered there was a US post office in East Nashville, close to where we were going, so I was able to mail my gift. Once I got to the post office, mailing the poster was easy. The post office employee was helpful, and there were no issues mailing the poster to Maryland from Nashville. The cost of postage was $7.70, and I didn't have to download a fucking app, use my phone, scan a QR code, or pay any tariffs. Utterly ridiculous that I couldn't easily mail a small package to the US because I was in Canada. [Yelp collections: Nashville, TN 2026]

He was belligerent and prideful but the manager handled him with charm and kindness but also with a stern hand and put him in his place. We thanked her and praised her for her patience. That "Nastyville" bully made a short line into a long waiting line because of his attitude, he lost his keys and griped about the replacement fee and blamed the staff! Whew! Other than that, this post office was ok, slightly funky, but had a greeting card kiosk, sufficient supplies, East Nashville don't play! Hours M-F 8:30-5:00, Sat 9:00-12:00
