This post office is a joke! The employees are extremely RUDE, and the supervisor or manager is a JERK with no sense of professionalism ! He has a nasty attitude! I've had horrible experiences time after time at this place and I hope they either replace all their staff or close down. There were about 4 complaints in the short amount of time I was there. I went to pick up my package and he (the manager) told me someone else had picked it up already (which is impossible!!) and said nothing else and walked away in the rudest way possible! i am writing to thank you!!!! this post office has been infamous for having lousy service... but our experience today- and, tbh, lately - was the complete opposite. Our package had accidentally been addressed incorrectly - off by one number :( It was shaping up to be a real headache... we decided to ask the post office for help, without much optimism. They received us with a smile, and we watched as they all tossed ideas around... the supervisor, Mr. Saiful Islam (new..?), came & asked us to wait on the side while he figured it out. I was consoling my husband who was so very sad when, not five minutes later, Mr. Islam returned to let us know that the package was still on the truck, and they were going to come back to 64th street to deliver it to the right address! I was in tears.. not even bc of the package, but the whole experience... it's well-known that the workers at the post office are overworked, underpayed, & screamed at 24-7 by unreasonable customers... not to mention they remain open and at service even at risk during a pandemic. The fact that they continue to try to help and to be a positive influence is nothing short of saintly. I really want to thank not only Mr. Saiful Islam & his trusty associates for completely alleviating our problem- but the usps driver who went out of his way to make this an incredibly special christmas. I wish i could give this post office a negative 4 stars! I see the postal truck from my window, i'm waiting,waiting,and waiting, then i look and the truck is gone so i track my package and they say address is undeliverable so they will be returning the package back to the sender. Really!!! I have been having packages delivered here for over 10 years and because he's to lazy to walk up 2 flight of stairs i don't get my package. I don't like to give bad reviews but I had to in this case. Multiple times my packages were no where to be found even though the tracking information clearly states that it was delivered or it was left in the mailbox, which I don't have, I have a mail slot. Meaning that it was either delivered to the wrong address or it just wasn't delivered at all. There's been a number of times where we have received other people's mail, usually from the next street over. I'm on 68th and we get mail that belongs to 69th street residents. It's really frustrating, especially when these mistakes are made at your cost. I've run out of ways to deliver a complaint. I even go to twitter to USPS help to try to get an explanation on where these missing packages have gone & they just tell you to report it to your local police or contact your local post office. Makes no difference, because I'm still not getting my money back or what I paid for. read more

If the earth opened up and swallowed this place it would be doing us a favor. This is the rudest and awful service. I had reschedule 3 times thru the USPS 1800 number since they made 1st attempt a month ago. It never got delivered from this location where my package is being held. I made many attempts to call them directly and they never pick up the phone. I had to call the sunnyside location to ask them why...and she gave me direct line to this location. A guy picks it up....was extremely rude and lies about the redelivery of my package and why they don't pick up the phone. I asked to talk to the manager and he told me he is the manager. I don't understand how any place can have good customer service if the manager himself can't provide good customer service. People should not be in customer service if they don't like dealing with people. Why make their life and customer's life difficult??? I asked him for district manager and he told me go ahead and complain!!! While UPS and Fedex has no problem delivering my packages to my house, this USPS always forces me to pick up my packages from their office. That is ridiculous. This USPS location is just like most other locations; completely dysfunctional. Expect to wait over an hour to pick up your package on Saturdays. I'm in this post office all the time because I run a mail-order business from Woodside. The odd thing is, I don't fear for my packages here, I fear for my life, and for the lives of the people who work here. I have mailed exactly 282 packages from this post office and not a single one of them has gone missing, been mysteriously detained, damaged or returned to me for inexplicable reasons. However... Today some enraged idiots decided to pick a fight with the stanchions holding the "please enter here" sign. Two people, LITERALLY, punched the metal sign in the middle of a very crowded post office. I'll never know what the metal sign did to make these people so angry because this happened just as I was walking in the door. What I do know is that I caught this 20 pound stainless steel sign from FALLING onto an occupied BABY stroller. Seriously if you're going to be a douche, at least make sure your douchery isn't going to injure INNOCENT BABIES! Drama over MAIL should not make you punch metal signs or hurt babies!!!!! Seriously people, if you get this upset over mail, please go see a psychologist. Get help. This is just ONE example of the dumb-ass immature behavior I have witnessed from the CUSTOMERS at this post office. Josef (who seems to be the manager?) is constantly trying to get half-witted customers to complete very simple tasks. I see him there, frustrated by the idiocy, fake smiling his way through the day while he deals with a constant onslaught of stupid questions and general nonsense. I watch customers failing at using the self-serve kiosks, when all you need is basic reading skills and the ability to tap a screen. I see people letting their kids run amok. Why are your childrens sticky jam hands always TOUCHING MY LEGS when I'm just trying to buy stamps? I see people standing in line with a lamp in a plastic bag, did you think you could just put a stamp on the bag and they'd send it? Do you not see the packing materials readily available right next to you? Are those orbs in your skull not eyes? I feel sooo bad for the people who work there. There are several very kind and patient asian women and the man that always sits at the far right with the glasses is super friendly and none of them have ever given me any sass or attitude. All five stars go to Geraldine! I was having a lot of trouble getting anyone to help me with getting my passport renewal mailed out- no one wanted to assist me, they just kept looking at each other like "do we help her or not?" and it was honestly one of the more awkward experiences I've had in a business. In walks Geraldine. What an angel. She actually walked me two blocks down the street to help me find the best person to take my passport photo, and when I returned to the office, she went through my packet to make sure I had no errors that would cause delays in processing. She didn't have to do any of this, she's just a good person and someone who cares about her customers. You don't find people like this anywhere, let alone in Post Offices, where I usually expect to find people with bad attitudes and zero customer service skill. I wish I can rate them zero. My package has been lost since March and I am still fighting for it . No one ever cared to help me.. I was sending a very pricey package out and had found out that I was scammed. Called USPS right away and they intercepted my package. Package being very valuable I tracked it every hour and attempted to pick it up at the postal office. Terrible lady told me "it's been delivered and she can't look in the back because it's a waste of her time when it's been delivered." I clearly showed her on the tracking site that it has arrived to the postal office and not being sent out to delivery and she told me that the tracking site is always incorrect. She refused to even help me out . I went home and waited for the delivery and the next thing I know it was sent to "dead mail" I went back to the postal office exactly right after (1 hour span) and she told me it's already been sent to Dead mail and that there is nothing to do about it .. I'm honestly so sad that I'm still really here months later trying to figure out who ever decided to open my package and use it for their own good . I'm so upset .. I have done all my research for this "deal mail" place the "MRC" that my package was sent to and the place doesn't even look like it exists at all or legit. Shame on you guys . You guys are probably miserable working and don't care for any of the customers and use packages claim that it's "lost" . read more

After hours of being on phone with USPS customer service and not getting any answers and dealing with the rude supervisor of my local post office, who refused to help me out, I called this location's supervisor for help. She was very friendly and helpful. Took my information and promised to get back to me within 10 minutes which she did and helped me resolve the problem. read more

This place is terrible ! Always queues coming out the door ! I tried to post a parcel and this one guy behind the counter was an absolute mare! Was no help whatsoever and rude ! Fair enough my mistake but he didn't want to help just made me queue up 3 times ! He could have easily filled out some of them in ten seconds ! It's like he didn't want my business ! The third time I was at the front of the cue his customer left and one lady in front of me went to his window .... He said to her.... Did you hear my bell right??? She was very apologetic and he told her to stand back and wait for the Bell... She did , 5 seconds later he rings it ! If I could give 0 stars I would. After going to this post office location several times to renew my passport I've left for the 4th time without renewing it. I walked in waited on line for 30 minutes as the line grew a staff member named Jennifer asked me what my ticket number was I told her I never received one and she informed me I needed a ticket, so obviously I asked her for a ticket and she told me that was all for the day. She told me they only give out 35 for the day and that I needed to come here at 7 AM just like everyone else. No one who worked there told me I needed a ticket nor did any of the people I spoke to during my previous visits at this location inform me of this. Clearly I was frustrated because no one wants to help you in that place and when you do ask for help they tell you that it can't be done today. I then asked to speak to a manager whose name is Wednesday, yes like the day of the week lol, who proceeded to tell me she wasn't gonna help me if I had an attitude problem. Basically told me to wait like everyone else which I was willing to do but that it had to be another day because that was all the tickets for the day. She helped me who is the customer accomplish nothing and disrespected me in the process. It's a shame how poor customer service is this day in age & how these post office workers want to everything else but their jobs. It's no surprise that they want to lay off half of these people. It's a good thing the post office will be obsolete one day. This Wednesday character should be ashamed of her self and a clear example of poor shitty customer service that always trickles down from the top which I clearly witnessed this morning. I imagine the phone rings at this post office constantly and there are not enough people to answer all the calls AND wait on customers AND do the many tasks the general public probably doesn't know about involved in working at a Post Office (and no, I don't work at one, but I do work in a similar industry.) I imagine that a good many calls are from people that need information they can get elsewhere, that doesn't involve this particular post office at all (how many people call to ask what a particular zip code is, I wonder!) I wanted to give 5 Stars because today was my lucky day - I tried calling for the 3rd day in a row and SOMEONE PICKED UP - not just someone, a VERY kind woman who was able to locate the package I had sent that had been misaddressed. There was no way to get any information on it or anyone to tell to return it to me or correct the address at the USPS website/phone number, so calling Woodside was my only option. I am grateful to the person I won't name here for locating the package, changing the one incorrect street number, and assuring me it would go back out with the carrier the very next day. I was pretty frantic - this package was not mine, it was for a customer of mine, and THEY were calling daily wanting more information. If Woodside hadn't answered today, I would have.... just kept trying. Post Office employees have a tough job. Like most people, part of the 'reputation' is earned, but most of it is people who don't work for the post office misunderstanding and/or not wanting to do the work themselves (like looking up a zip code.) read more

The fact that the line was curled up by the door and into the area where people's po boxes are, is very telling that they shouldn't be delivering packages at 7am when most people are out to work. Also, why in my apartment do I see packages being left in front of their doors but I always seem to get a slip? Then having to wait till Saturday like most people because that is the only day we can pick them up. Tried the redelivery option once before that that created more of a mess. The slowness of the line is contributed by people who don't bring their id's (how do you not know?) and having one person distribute packages when there is a huge line. The only reason why I only waited 45min instead of 2 hours is that they were about to close and employees were not having that! read more

The worst service there is. The post office should be open at 8:30. This doesn't mean employees should start getting ready to open at 8:30. To get your packages there is a separate line but it's not clear that there is a separate line until you get to the clerk of a regular line. It is crazy how we expect more from fast food clerks or store cashiers but you are at the mercy of postal workers. read more

Mail delivery is poor. As my apartment panel mailbox can take only a small parcel, squeezing a large parcel into the mailbox is rather unprofessional and it causes tampering (damage to parcel content). It happens to me all the time and other neighbors. Staff is courteous only if customers never complain. Try complain and you will be treated in the most unacceptable and unprofessional way by staff acting more like bouncers than US Post staff. In this economy and after all this USPS employees losing their jobs, USPS staff should be more careful in their conduct and professionalism. Just imagine that a young and immature mail carrier once pretended to be the site manager and was backed up by the security guard who came to his support ready for a fight...
