I inquired about air cargo with Johnny Air to send Christmas gifts to the Philippines. They told me it would take 5 to 7 days upon flight date. When the package was picked up they told me it would take approx 10 days. But now they are claiming it will take at least 2 weeks. I INQUIRED SO I CAN HAVE A PROPER TIME FRAME. Sea Freight I have been sending packages to the Philippines via Johnny Air cargo for years and was very satisfied, even though the rates has gone up , I am very much satisfied by ther service. But this week (Tuesday -August 5, 2025), I waited for hours for my box to be picked up after the confirmation that they will come. I ended up calling the agent Aiza and she told me that she forgot to give me a call to let me know that the pick up was canceled. I was sooooo disappointed being that I stayed home waitng for nothing. I said, ok I'll give them another chance. We rescheduled the pick up date and time to today Friday, August 8, 2025. This time Aiza called me and confirmed again that the box will be picked up between 3 to 4 pm. I waited and even canceled my appointment this time and AGAIN, no pick up happened and the driver or person whose supposed to pick up the box, did not call or text to let me know that he's coming or not. Weekend mornings around 10-11am it can get a little busy. The general inside store area though? It's a bit cluttered with boxes that are waiting to be shipped. This review is for the "Shopping Online" service of Johnny Air Cargo. I don't normally write reviews but was so impressed and happy with the service provided by Gina that I had to! She was the person I communicated with exclusively and she is incredibly reliable and a dedicted employee - she was even texting on weekend and late into the evenings! I didn't know about this Johnny Air Cargo's express delivery until I had to send some important items to Manila, quickly, but economically (or at least good value), and found this service. What a great concept that JAC provides, you could just order what you need from any online store(works great if you are not local in the NYC area) and send it to JAC directly. Although it is a great idea, IF the service is bad, a lot could go wrong. What made the experience EXCELLENT is the service provided by Gina. Her personal and reliable service and dedication is what made the experience AMAZING. They need to modernize the way the do their business. I tried sending box to this place, but unfortunately they don't accept credit card only cash or check, I tried offering VENMO and they don't even know about it. I do cashless transactions so they need to find a way to do everything digital. Also I tried setting up a schedule for pick up and they told me nobody's available that day, they will text me if someone is available in there own time. I'm the client and I'm not the one who's supposed to adjust to them they should adjust to me and my availability since they are taking my money in exchange for the service, and besides I schedule it one week in advance. First of all i waited for half an hour because the lady was on break from 12:45 pm to 1;45Pm. on a sunday afternoon where they were supposed to close at 4p.m. Filipino style. She probably took a nap. So when she came in she weight my box which contains sneakers and 2 bottles of vitamin E. After declaring the value she ask me for a delivery fee $5 and she ask me if i have vitamins inside and i said yes. Guess what? she charged an additional of $10 dollars for 2 bottles of vitamin E which is almost the price of what I bought those vitamins. This person is a scammer. I have never sent a balikbayan box before and will never do it again. If you are sending a balikbayan box, use another company because Johnny Air is probably the most unprofessional and will rip you off. First of all, they would not pick up my box from downtown NYC, so I had to drop it off. Fine. I dropped it off and spoke to the agent downstairs in the East Village location. I told her I wanted to send this box to Cavite. I filled out the necessary paperwork and she listed the cost on the invoice which was $60. Mind you, this is almost $20 more than some of the other companies, but I just wanted to get it done. I thought everything was fine, when a couple of days later I receive a phone call from their office stating that because my box was being delivered to Cavite it cost $20 more which I had to pay to their Queens office. I tried to explain to the gentlemen that their staff member charged me $60 and she knew exactly where it was going. He then proceeded to tell me that she made a mistake and that she should have charged me an extra $20. Now, my argument is this, I did not make the mistake and your Johnny Air staff did by misquoting me. So naturally in a service based industry, the business should accept that responsibility as I am the client. that was not the case as the guy began arguing with me and threatening me that if I did not send the extra $20 they would not send my box. Not really sure, but I think that is classified as extortion. Holding my mom's balikbayan box ransom so you can get your extra $20. All I can say is WOW. They were completely unprofessional and rude. Here's the kicker, It is now June and the box still has yet to arrive to my mom. It was sent in the end of February. They told me 30-45 days. What a joke. Very helpful. Customer service is great. They were able to ship my packages to the Philippines on time most of the time. Some customers need to understand that some packages get delayed because of other circumstances such as delays on its way to its destination. My sister sent a package from Manila March 9 and she was told that it'll take 3-5 days. March 20 I had to call Johnny Air to follow up and I was told there was a delay. I gave my cp number because my landline is not working. I called their costumer service and I was told that they are not aware of any delays, hence, they contacted Johnny Air NY to follow up as well and an email was initiated. March 23 I called them again and I was told that my package was already there and they were trying to contact me March 21 but to no avail. Two years ago was the first time a box was sent to the Philippines. The box was received without any problems. Then several boxes were sent without incident. Several months ago, a box was sent. The box arrived at its destination with over half of the items missing. The box was properly sealed. Someone had opened the box. Toys, vitamins, candy and other knick knacks were stolen. In July, another box was sent. The box of items were insured. Knowing that there is a thief in the company is enough to use caution (Proverbs 29:4). Someone hand opened the box. A 14" doll with wings was stolen. Two bottles of vitamins and other items were stolen. Before shipping, make a complete list of your items. Do not send irreplaceable items. There is a rotten employee working for Johnny Air. The company has just lost a good customer. read more

I erroneously shipped and did not declare it, but they should have called me if they found an electronic on my shipment and I'm willing to pay for it, They have no right to steal or take it, it's my iphone I bought from my own pocket.
