My blood is boiling!! One thing I hate is when people are mean and rude to the elderly. I was just at the post office on Seymour Hwy. There was a very elderly man in front of me. We were the only 2 people in the place and no clerk to be found. The old gentleman gently called out "hello", the clerk came around the corner and snapped, "you can just wait a minute" in a very hateful tone. And as he proceeded with his transaction, the clerk became more hateful and condescending. When he was looking for his cash, the clerk said, "can you hurry it up?" and that was enough for me. I proceeded to tell the clerk how rude I thought he was and that he owed this man an apology. He just looked at me with a smirk on his face. No apology to the elderly man and acted the same way with me. As I left, I told him, "It is a shame that you can't be fired, because people like you do not need to be working with the public!" He walked away. I came out of that post office livid! Aaargghh!!
And did I mention the old guy was an Air Force veteran?
UPDATE: I filed a complaint on the USPS website. I doubt much will come of it, but at least maybe they will be aware of this hateful man. read more
