Also as you enter the building the large self drop off box is there for you to drop of pre-paid packages, and it slides into the back for security. Please note the building is closed after hours so you won't be able to access your Boxes. [Front Desk] The Front desk will usually cycle 2 Team members at opposite ends of the front counter. This is great for privacy and security as you discuss your needs to the Team members. The line is standard like most USPS, where it hooks around with a middle table divider for you to place your package or fill in last minute labels. [Supplies] Most standard supplies like Priority & Express boxes/envelopes and cert/insured labels are available for you to pickup, fill in, and use. Those specialty items can be requested once you get to the front and the Team Members have always been able to help out. [Team Members] The FRIENDLIEST and most professional, and nicest group you'll ever meet in Yakima! So far, I've noticed there's 3 main front members who cycles 2 in at a time. All 3 are amazingly supportive and compassionate for your needs. [Services] The members are more then qualified for serving your needs. Priority Mailing. Ebay mailing. Insured mailing. Letters to Santa. All your needs can be found here. [Parking] The front has staggered parking to help out. Since it is a smaller location, street parking is currently Free along 3rd street. I personally would recommend the street parking, walk an extra 10 feet to the front door because when you leave it is quicker to get onto either Yakima Ave or Walnut St. [Note1] This is NOT a passport location. [Note2] Those customer reviews about missing package needs to double check as the package pickup/delivery is usually located on the main location on Washington St and not this one, on 3rd St. [Office Hours] The Office Hours noted here in Yelp are incorrect. Mon-Fri = 08:30 to 05:00PM PST. [Final Thoughts] Please apply the "Golden Rule" that we were all taught when we were little. I received excellent customer service when I went in to mail a small package. It made the errand a breeze. I parked blocks away and just walked; I need to lose some weight anyway. If you have your act together, ready to send or receive your package(s), parking and maybe a line of people at the desk is the worse one might anticipate at this post office. The "CEO" Teresa came out with an attitude from hell and was…read morebad mouthing us to another customer in close promixity of my niece after we asked for an itemized receipt of a $113 total --- understandably so, any customer would question a total that high for some copies, a scan and two certified mail letters. After I mentioned she was being overly aggressive, she insisted she was not while still behaving insanely rude. The poor staff member she had was unable to handle the tasks herself and was improperly trained so made mistakes although she was trying her best to be kind through the entire interaction. I am appalled at the customer service and even the attire of someone whom claims to be the CEO. This place is an absolute joke; unprofessional and disgusting customer service with zero etiquette. My mother has frequented this place and I have advised her on many occasions to handle her copy, print and mailing needs here. However, after the way we were treated today, we will never return and make sure we alert the community of the behavior and unprofessionalism. TIP: FEDEX, UPS and USPS will be WAY cheaper and friendlier. Mailing costs alone will be at least 33% less and you will just need to print out at staples or actual UPS store (wish I had known this sooner).
