So, in an odd way, my life have tracked along this route and connects memories of a WVa childhood, a Baltimore student life, and a SF professional one. This particular post office, and the many, many times my parents and I stopped to drop off letters, are indelible parts of my life, so it's hard to be objective about this place. But it is clearly NOT in a wealthy area, as this is coal country and there are lots of trailers around. The USPS, however, is among the best I have ever used. There were NEVER lines - Triadelphia, WV is not exactly a hip place to live - and the staff ALWAYS seemed willing to shoot the breeze with customers. They had the newest stamps, they were friendly, and they knew basically everyone who came in. It was part of the community, one with low crime but also very little economic growth. So where does this fit into my USPS analysis? (See list). I'm not exactly sure. Maybe the best post offices are those that exist only in our memories. Nostalgia will do wonders for customer service!

It was just before the Christmas and I went to this post office to ask the clerk's help to mail a gift internationally. He kept yelling at me that mailing vitamins is against the law. There was no explanation or demonstration of which law was violated when I asked him. Then another guy appeared coldly telling me that the store was about to be closed and that I should leave. This terrible experience destroyed my holiday spirit and haunted me for weeks. Till now, I still feel scared to go into this post office to use their service.

I returned with a bag and he said go buy tape, I asked since it was a small package and I only needed one strip, could I use the tape right here and he said no, you can't use it. Bo smiled about it. When I asked his name, he kept his tag covered over with clothing and his hand. He said rude things I won't repeat here when I asked for the manager. While we waited, he leaned over his counter and said, "wow, oh wow, and said many rude, insulting things to me and my family, staring like he was going to jump over the counter at us. And this is a federal employee?? Very unnerving. This employee was instantly a rude, unwell person in a near state of rage. There is no reason for this, no wonder good people don't wanna go out and have to deal with this caliber of employees for everyday things. Manager said they'd attend to him and will call the Post Master so we'll see how that goes. Be careful when dealing with this employee, folks.

They take no responsibility for charging enormous shipping charges for a 2 day delivery, and then not delivering it. They are charging for a service not provided. She wouldn't even bother to try to find out why it is still not to its destiniation 8 days later. I could understand a delivery issue of a day or two, but 8 days?? Really?? This wouldn't happen in the private sector. These people should not have jobs; especially government jobs.

They usually have 2 or 3 people working the counters, so the waits are much better. Post offices are made or broken by the workers. This place excels with its customer service. I've seen the employees here walk hard of hearing and elderly people through their orders in a very respectful and patient manner; that really stood out to me, because I have definitely seen the opposite. The only con is the parking--if you get lucky you can get a street spot, but generally I take the metered lot behind the Friendship Circle.

Today I received a valuable collector item delivered by UPS. The outside of the box was…read moreintentionally punctured several times (pictures attached). I am being targeted by Marsha the manager at WV UPS, and the driver because of a recent complaint I posted through the BBB a month ago. It is not possible that these types of violent puncture holes randomly happened in transit. Transit damage is usually the box is crushed or corners creased, but this was someone intentionally stabbing the box several times in a violent manner. As shown in the pictures this is clearly several stab like punctures that were inflicted on the box 9 times. The punctures went through the shipping box and into my collectors box. This will hurt the future value as a collectible. How else could such deep punctures happen if not intentionally? I am very, very concerned by the targeting and outright disregard that is being shown by UPS. Marsha of West Virginia UPS mocked me and hung up on me twice in my previous dealings. She made a joke of the whole incident. The last incident a pair of shoes was missing, and the blame was put on the Shoe company. But this time? The manufacturing company did not stab this box 9 times before shipping it. There is no excuses this time and it is obvious that the driver is retaliating against me and this has to be stopped. This is the 2nd incident in a month and I am documenting this to protect myself against this outright assault and vandalism. My next steps are to contact my attorney and file a report with the local police for vandalism, targeting, and harassment. This is now is a Federal crime. I also attached the picture the UPS driver took of the delivery verification. It is quite odd he only took a blurry picture of the steps to my house. Why do this? It is because he intentionally damaged the box and did not want to show this in the picture.
