Oh my! Well let's see....We have a different mail carrier almost every day. I get my mail, my neighbors' mail, people's mail on other streets. My neighbors get my mail. Has anyone seen my driver's license that was supposed to come in the mail nearly a year ago? Oh, I got someone else's bankruptcy papers (I'm sure they appreciate that). My neighbor dropped off my husband's work mail the other day (private business by the way). Go ahead tell me to call them, complain!! What a joke. I tried this. The condescending woman I spoke to acted as if it were my fault because I didn't report the problem often enough. When nothing changes people give up. Then she acted as if it weren't happening. Yet I was able to prove it on the phone. So I asked her why we have so many mail carriers. She tells me that our route (right in the middle of town) is an auxiliary route (this means that they alternate carriers constantly). So in that case none of them ever learn this route. We have lost so much mail over the years and acquired so much mail that wasn't ours. It isn't unusual for neighbors to deliver each other's mail here. So customer service from here sucks! read more

Good luck getting the correct mail if it's a weekend or you have a substitute mail carrier. I get mail that isn't mine on a regular basis. (I really should submit a time card to get paid for the time I've spent delivering errant mail to the correct mailboxes.) One Saturday I had mail in my box for the remaining 3 houses on my street. I guess the carrier that day just decided it was quitting time. I still get mail for people who haven't lived at this address for almost 9 years, even though there is supposedly a note on file to not deliver their mail anymore. When I have mail held for when I'm out of town, I'm pretty much guaranteed there will be mail in the box when I return. I've written notes in the past and I've called to complain but it doesn't seem to matter. read more

This is one of the busiest Post Offices that I've ever seen in terms of the sheer number of people who are in and out at any given time of day. With that being said, it's disappointing that the staff often moves at such a slow speed regardless of the number of people in line. Without exaggeration, I've seen lines of customers out the door on several occasions, with no apparent reaction or sense of urgency on the employees' part. This location has an automatic postal machine (APC), which I'm sure was installed to help alleviate customer wait times, but this location really could stand to have two APC machines. It seems that many customers not wanting to wait in the long lines trickle over to the APC, and it further seems that a good percentage of those customers have never used one before, which makes the "efficiency" of the APC a moot point when you're waiting for slow employees AND slow first-time APC users. My bottom line recommendation is that if you must mail something here, come after-hours (this location is open 24 hours) and use the APC. You'll get a lot more done, a heck of a lot faster. read more

Frequently lie about attempted deliveries, will straight up just shrug and tell you they have no clue where the package that they had possession of during the day is, and not care. Cannot deliver the right mail to the right people to save their life. So sick of missing important documents because these people can't read numbers. They have 0 accountabilty and do not care if you have a major problem due to their incompetence. I'd give negative stars if I could. read more

It's amazing how bad our post office is. There are days I watch the mail truck drive through the neighborhood, only stopping to pick up outgoing mail, but not actually deliver mail. I honestly don't know if something I mail will get delivered (looks like 2 packages I dropped off last week have gone missing) or if something will arrive (thank goodness Social Security called me today to see if I had received the paper they needed me to sign - 2 months later and it never arrived). My mail carrier told me that our post office is so bad because it is a training center; yet I see the same people there all the time, so that can't be it. read more

Worst post office I have ever had to deal with. Any time a package requires a signature, we have to wait days for it to show up although the tracking says out for delivery. Are they letting my packages just sit in the car? We also recently moved within the same apartment complex and I was expecting an important package. Tracking said it was "out for delivery" for 3 days. Customer service said that they sent the package back to sender because our names weren't written on the inside of the mailbox. #1 The apartment complex didn't even know this was an issue and never instructed us to do this. #2 The package required a signature, so the fact that the name wasn't on the mailbox should've been a non-issue. My boyfriend is retired and home 24/7. No one ever rang that bell. I had to go through the trouble of contacting the vendor, explaining that my post office is incompetent, and have it sent a second time. If I could fire them, I would in a heartbeat. read more

Most frustrating place ever. Left a note on my door that package needs signed for. Next day shows up with no package and said if I sign the paper it will be delivered next day.I did and gave the sig to the carrier. 4 days later,, no package and am told I will have to pick it up. I had hoped I could strike a win for the good guys by not giving up and complaining about mail not being delivered to my home correctly. How do I know this? Ask my neighbors next door or several streets away that have brought me my mail out of decency. And I had done the same with their mail. At least I had a chance to say hello instead of just waving, but would have rather done so in different circumstances. There are still very important letters I have been waiting for and never received. I was told my complaints would be ESCALATED to a higher office. I felt as if this problem would finally be resolved! Huurrraaay!!! Actually, after the 5th call and escalation, I was told that the escalation could go no higher and not to call anymore. HUH??? Also, this past Christmas, I asked the Postal worker to stamp my package fragile since it had a breakable snow globe inside.. she acted annoyed and said it was fine and threw the package over her shoulder into a bin behind her. Do they ever smile? ( Lucky I wrote FRAGILE in large letters with a RED MARKER ON ALL SIDES.) A week later I got a text message and picture from my daughter showing my smashed package with a huge boot print on it. Broken glass shards, soaked sweater, OMG...Merry Christmas from the US Post Office I guess. I think a more positive attitude and the ability to read should be in their job descriptions. Hate your job? Please quit...several families need jobs to feed their families. Horrible service and horrible employees. Worst post office I've ever dealt with. Made the mistake of getting p.o. box there. Packages sit in the back for ever. The downtown post office is much better. Nice people who are attentive to their duties and polite to the customers. read more
