I've been very happy with my interactions with the folks at Hale's…read more My 42 inch Toro stopped working, mid-mow. I left a voicemail with them and they got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. They came out to pick up the mower a few days later (having to push it through tall grass to get to their vehicle). The two other places I called would've been literally twice as long. This is a mower that I leave at my mother's place so I can know her yard. So, I wasn't able to be there when they picked up the mower, or when they dropped it off. Hale's diagnosed and fixed the problem in a reasonable amount of time and at a decent price. Definitely competitive with other places in the area. I asked them to service the mower and tune it up they already had it in their shop. They checked it out and told me that I didn't need the service At this time. They brought the mower back the next day. I was happy with their staff, "either work, and our interactions at every step of the way. For what it's worth, my mother, who actually dealt with an in person, was impressed with the pick up and drop off. I certainly plan to use Hale's or future needs.

Due to unexpected family circumstances, I took over trying to schedule the appointment. I left a voicemail that was never returned. The following week, I called again and spoke directly with the owner. Once again, I was told they were short-staffed, booked for the week, and that she would call me the following week to get us scheduled. I waited the entire following week. No phone call. It has now been another week, and I still have never heard from her. I completely understand that small businesses can be busy and short-staffed. What I don't understand is repeatedly telling customers you'll call them back and then never following through. If you're unable to take on additional work, just be honest and say so. Customers can respect an honest answer far more than being left waiting week after week for callbacks that never happen. The biggest issue wasn't the scheduling it was the repeated lack of communication and follow through. After more than a month of trying to schedule service, we were repeatedly brushed off with promises of callbacks that never came. Their pricing may be competitive, but in our experience, the lack of communication simply wasn't worth the savings. We have decided to take our business elsewhere.

Sadly my bill of sale had a cross out that I had to get another version rewritten by the dealership and they missed signing off the title on the title document so I had to sit and wait for faxes to and from the dealership to tag office. The representative was so supportive and I was so happy I was able to get my tag by the time of closing. Things to remember: check you title before you go that all parts are filled out and that there are no cross outs or scribbles.
