I walked right in, one person ahead of me, their transaction was quick, as was mine. The clerk was pleasant and efficient, I was in and out within 5 minutes. We have never had any issues with our past mail carrier on our route until this year. All of our…read morepackages take days to be delivered even if they are out for delivery. They mark them as undeliverable due to our road having snow packed and some ice AKA Maine winters. Even after we sanded our road they don't even attempt to deliver. We were told that the driver is ""new"" and an older gentleman that gets nervous driving in the snow.. umm then maybe he needs a new position like a desk or sorting job that doesn't require him to drive. We have never had any issues for over 20 years with the mail not being delivered ( unless there was a huge snowstorm or ice. We only have to sand our dirt road once or twice a year) it's going to be a very long winter for them with every person on our road calling every day and having to go get our mail in person

These packages were scanned in shortly after I left despite his claims everything from the boxes had been collected and scanned. When I went looking for another package that should have been scanned in the prior day he was quite rude claiming these delays were somehow my fault. This was escalated to their customer service, she also refused to admit packages are missed/not scanned. They both acted like mistakes on their end never happen. Considering the USPS is in danger of being eliminated they would be a bit more customer friendly and admit to their mistake instead of blaming the customer.

Handwritten receipts and everything done by hand! Friendly employees and parking right out front. There's a 99% chance you'll be the only one inside of the office anyway. Definitely easier to go to than the Alton Post Office. While the new computerized systems may be easier than doing everything by hand, there is a certain greatness of being able to go into the past, and to be honest, doing everything un-computerized really IS quicker! 5 stars for the Alton Bay Post Office. Today the letter carrier was supposed to deliver a package that required signature. I work from…read morehome so a I saw the carrier pull up to the mailbox and drop off letters. They never pulled into the driveway to deliver the signature required package. Instead, the lazy carrier put a notice in my mailbox for "unable to deliver. Authorized person not available for signature". That is a total failure to do the job. I am home every day to receive packages. I attempted to call the post office number, but nobody would answer. This is not the first time I have had issues, but I usually get them resolved. This time I am forced to make a trip to the post office to pick up a package that could have been delivered. This is totally disrespectful of me and my time. Unbelievably poor service!!

I had several packages delivered for Christmas, as I'm sure hundreds of other Milton residents did as well. 99% of my deliveries had tracking numbers, I checked the status of their deliveries daily and when I saw that something that had been delivered, I'd go to the post office as soon as I got a chance, usually within 3-4 hours after seeing the status was "delivered." Every time I went to get whatever was delivered, it wasn't there, I was told that they had over "2,000 packages in the back." Not my problem, call your supervisor and tell them you need help sorting and delivering! For the entire month of December, not one of my packages was delivered on time, when the tracking said it was at the post office, I still had to wait 3 days before it showed up.

I would appreciate if anybody at the South Main Street Post Office would answer the PHONE! I have been calling for at least 15 minutes it is answered then says please hold as I connect you to the operator, but it never gets answered eventually goes to a busy signal! Online not any better, need a missed delivery slip but one was not left.
