This is the worst service I have ever experienced at any post office. I came in today (09.17.21) around 1.45PM to renew my company's P.O. Box. The old lady over the counter was very grumpy and bitchy. She stated that I was not able to renew the P.O box because their systems will not allow it. I was never given a real explanation even by the "supervisor" who was just sitting there not helping out even though there were a lot of people waiting patiently in line. This type of poor service should not be acceptable in any business. It is terrible that state employees can not get fired so easily. There are a lot of good quality people who will go a better job. I am not sure why this location hired the bad ones. read more

The subs are lazy idiots if your package will not fit in your box they will put it on the ground in a outside common area of a 150 unit apartment complex. What could possibly go wrong every is very honest and would not take a package that does not belong to them. I do not give any bad Yelp review at all. Do not come to this post office. There's an old lady that work here has an attitude and will add something to your bill that you don't want. I want to send a package and ask if there's a cheaper way, the package is going to Seattle. She said "no" but I saw online that there's ground transportation offer instead of priority 3 days. She still said "no" I was like okay, I'm in a rush to work and I need my package to send. She added "require signature" on my package and I asked her to take the charge off but she said she don't know anything. I was like WTF! Instead of paying $80 for ground, I paid hundreds of dollars which is not worth it. I left with anger and disappointment! read more

Terrible customer service. The woman that "helped" me asked what my address was and as I'm in the middle of telling her, she cuts me off and begins yelling at me for not being prepared and how rude it was of me to not have my ID out and ready. I apologized and said I didn't know I needed to have that ready. She continue to snap at me, which leads me to writing this review. I've never experienced such an unwelcoming environment and blatant disrespect. With almost all the airlines charging for checked luggage nowadays, i always try to travel with carryon luggage only. But since you cant bring gels or liquids, sometimes you are forced to check your luggage and pay the $25 fee ($50 roundtrip).... Or are you?? I Found a way around the airlines $25 charge or at least a way to reduce the cost. I now ship my liquids and gels a week ahead when visiting friends and relatives. Flat rate boxes are the way to go since its charged by the box not weight. Small box - 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" ships for $5.80 Medium box - 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" or 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" ships for $12.35 Large box - 23-11/16" x 11-3/4" x 3" or 12" x 12" x 5-1/2" ships for $16.85 If you pay for it online and print out the shipping label yourself you can save a little more too. Small $5.15 Medium $11.30 Large $15.30 On my last trip i wanted to bring my friends Phills BBQ sauce, but paying $25 to check a bag just to bring back few $5 items is ridiculous. Flat rate shipping is the way to go! Notes: If bringing your items to ship at the post office, bring your own tape, they don't have any for you to use, but they will sell you a small roll for about $3 - $3.50 Printing out the label at home is not only cheeper but when you go to the post office, you can just drop it off without waiting in line, much more efficient. You can also schedule them to pick it up from your doorstep too! Easy peezy! You can have the empty flat rate boxes delivered to your door if you planned enough in advance or you can just go to the post office and grab a few yourself. I like this location because it has a larger parking lot than all the other post offices that ive been to. read more

Not a pleasant Post Office in general. I have to sometimes pick up packages. The postal workers at the desk are not friendly and not especially helpful. Today I used the "side" pickup station on the left side of the main desk to pickup some package. The lady was actually rude. I told her I were here to pickup some packages. She didn't look at my package slips at all!! She said "what the address?" I showed her my driver's license which she took with her into the back room. She came back with some boxes. I told her that I wasn't sure about whether I had all of the packages. Without looking at my package slips, she said if I was missing something I would need to wait in line again and then take the tracking number to the main window for another worker to look it up. I said I think I had my packages. She gives me my drivers license back and took my set of package slips and dumped them into the trash. No thank you, no "have a nice day" - plain nasty. She threw out my package slips without even looking at any of them, not one slip did she look at!! When I got home I realized that I had a missing foreign package that needed to be signed for. What incredibly bad service!! Simply awful!! Now I've got to go back tomorrow and wait in line and hope that they can find my package with just my driver license - which they seem to prefer at the only method of attempting to look for packages!!. Avoid this Post Office if you can. Unfortunately I can't. It's sad the the US Post Office has a number of unfriendly staff working there servicing the public. I would categorize this as plain lazy and uncaring about whether the customer gets their packages (mail). read more

I've been coming to this location for a couple years now and have had good experiences. Today I went in, and the cashier April clearly had a bad day and took it out on me. She belittled me and disrespected me the entire time I was in the store. I wasn't ready with the addresses because they were in my phone, so I asked her if I could buy the tape and leave the register to take my own time. She would not allow me to. She told me it was my fault for not being ready, but I just wanted to take my time by myself and not be judged right in front of her. I just wanted to take my time by myself and she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I bought the tape and left immediately. I guess it's my fault for wearing a baggy sweatshirt and leggings today. She probably thought I was a thief. She treated me like one. Next time I'll do my makeup and dress nicely on my one day off I have a week. I will be using a different location moving forward. I don't want to feel belittled when I go into a business. April is not kind. I work in customer service and would never treat someone this way. April, if you're reading this: don't take out your bad day on customers, you don't know what they are going through. read more

Typically I don't want to complain about the post office, but in less than a year I've had more issues than I ever had at my last address for my ENTIRE LIFE. I've lost so many packages because they walked the package to the wrong unit, instead of using the complex provided lock box. I've also had issues where the barcode is damaged and they send my package back to sorting.. it's been since July and I still haven't received an update to that sorting center package. Ive also had them claim my unit number wasn't on the package but the seller showed me the label and it clearly was on there. Jennifer the manager suggested i write my name in my mailbox, which I had done when I moved in, and when I told her as much she said it isn't her problem. Like, delivering mail IS Your problem. ive called 15 times today to speak to the operator over ANOTHER package missing that says delivered to door and after it rings for 2 minutes it goes to a busy dial tone. I started calling around 9:30 and it's now 2 pm and they're "closed" for the day. read more

I would give them higher rating if the people that worked there were actually friendly and did not have an attitude. The tax payers are paying their salary, yet they talk to us (the tax payers, which are also their customers) in a condescending tone. I don't know if they got this way after working in that specific location or what, but this is San Diego...people are nice here, people are happy. You postal workers live in the best weather in the country, yet the workers seem miserable. Many people would love to have your job, so instead of taking it for granted, you should be happy, not hostile towards your customers. Not very professional. This post office branch in general deserves its less-than-stellar reputation - but I'd like to give a well-deserved shout-out to one employee, EDWARD, by whom I have been fortunate to have been assisted several times in the last few weeks. During this very busy and hectic Christmas-mail season, with lines extending far into the lobby/hallway, I've observed that Edward remains unfailingly helpful and cheerful to all, at the same time being efficient and hard-working. He works fast, but never makes the customer feel rushed; and he offers simple, easy-to-comprehend suggestions and instructions as needed. Oh geez. I redirected my package on Feb 6th because it did not include my apartment number. I got a confirmation email that my information was recorded. Feb 7th I received an alert at 12:16pm that my package was delivered at the front door. Within 4min I go check and guess what? nothing. I walk around the entire complex checking on top of mailboxes. I submitted a claim and had to wait 3 days for a reply. On Feb 9th I get a call letting me know that my package was returned to sender on Feb 8th.... read more

The worst customer service out of any shipping place I've been to. I was treated very rudely by an employee named Lane (middle aged asian lady with short hair). I needed to ship a large and heavy box of books for a friend who moved from SD to Georgia. I brought the box in, got in line, bought a roll of tape to repair a hole that was made during transfer from car to USPS. No problems thus far. I then got in line again, was rudely told that they can't do anything until I got an address on the box. I didn't know I needed to write anything on the box, as I didn't have a shipping label of any sort yet. Was rudely lectured and rushed to get out of line because I hadn't gotten the address on the box yet. I thought I needed to first purchase a shipping label so I didn't write an address yet. At that point , I had gotten in line twice and was very friendly throughout the process. It was a big heavy box (~70lbs) literally filled with books. I couldn't lift it past my shoulders by myself.. not to mention the counter simply did not have the space to even hold it. Was offered no help by Lane whatsoever and even got rudely lectured for not knowing how to ship. The one star is for the nice manager lady with big curly hair that stepped in near the end to explain the situation for me. TL;DR: Lane has made my shipping experience with USPS Linda Vista horrible. Save yourself the time and emotional labor. Go to UPS in Mission Valley. They're super friendly and very helpful. read more

If zero stars was an option I would do it. I have been here twice in the past month and both times the woman working was an absolute treat to deal with. She is extremely rude and clearly hates her job or just hates dealing with people in general. You are the postal service worker it is your job to help me get my mail out effectively. When I ask questions don't look at me and talk in a condescending tone. Do your job be polite and give me answers . What the hell is any of these people doing here?!?! This lady that has had all these terrible reviews lived up to her title today. I was in line to get info on how to send an important document when everything unfolded before me. The clerk on the far right was finishing a lady while I watched this lady carry on a conversation with a customer. I'm fine with that as I thought my transaction was pretty straightforward. 5 minutes late and the guy was done with his customer and so I wait for him to call me. That didn't happen; he's typing away at his computer with god knows what but OK. So I watched as this lady continued to chat away. 10 minutes past and she finally finished. I walked up and asked how send my documents and she points to the Priority envelope. Ok. That was simple I thought. Well there were five different labels and I asked her which one. She says "the one that says To and From"! Huh?!?! I kinda figured that out without asking!!! Finally she told me the right one and I looked everywhere for a pen and then asked her where the pens are located. By this time I was getting very irritated. She snarls at me " I put out 3 already" as if that was the answer. I said "sorry for interrupting your day" and left. Shut that place down!!!! read more

Blanca.... Probably one of the rudest person to ever work at the post office. She gave every person an attitude that she attended. I was just there to drop off pre paid packages (All I needed was a receipt) . She looked at the packages I handed in like they were made of dog $ht. She weighed a package that said 32 oz which is equivalent to 2lbs and said it wasn't right. Package weight was actually 1lb 13 oz to be exact. But apparently she didn't know how to convert it so she deemed it as incorrect. After some of attitude she excepted it. I just don't understand? Why give people a hard time? After reading some of the other reviews it's seems like I'm not the only one that experienced bad customer service from this particular employee. Was given a literal blank pink slip with no name or what this was saying we missed the delivery, mind you, that's literally impossible because we're home all day on house arrest as per the orders of our government. Went to the post office to pick it up. Not only was I humiliated and victimized by the lady working, but she tried to say that I she needed proof I lived at the address. I gave her my ID, which has an old address on it from when I lived with my parents, and I gave her proof of my residency via a return label on a package I was returning. She scoffs at me saying the package is for a Nicholas Alvidrez whom is my roommate. I told her this, and she says, "I don't believe you". Like what? How were we supposed to know based upon the pink slip with no information who this was for when I live with four other people?? I can't believe she couldn't at least be more courteous or apologetic about the lack of candor that the post office gave us but instead was super rude and wouldn't give me the package! The ladies there used to be 'groupies' of the Tatted up Philipino Manager. When people would get in line they would make fun of every customer in line, so it was a long standing inside joke, they would chat about and then cackle n cackle amongst each other. It was really awkward to stand there and know that they were doing that to each person. I have to say it was a nice surprise not to see the Tatted up guy anymore at customer service side of things. Today, there was a very helpful lady named Sharon. I have some glimmer of hope that Sharon is trying her best to turn things around there. I feel for her because she has a long list of really poor service to help. I too, have a list of headaches. From simple things like changing your mail over. They just ignore your mail change. Each carrier is dumbfounded by it. I Had to literally drive over to their hangout by the Mt Acadia park and ask them where is my mail?! I must have done this 3 times! Each one would say he would look into it. We are talking 4 months later, from the date of the mail change they started to forward the mail. Where did the mail go before that?! They were keeping it somewhere. I received mail from a court case I should have gotten months ago, just now. Opened too. It was as if they were just going to throw it away, but they checked to make sure it wasn't important. WTF?! I have on camera, the current mail carrier dropping off the return to sender green cards that are attached to the envelope that youre supposed to get signed,return and put in the mail for the original sender being put, into the mailbox! We pay extra for those to get sent back to us! They are being left on the mail. ANOTHER WTF?! I had an amazon delivery that they forwarded somewhere but have no idea where, so I Never got that delivery. I used to cringe having to come inside this location, but I believe the people have turned over and it should be getting better. I REALLY HOPE! read more

I am a busy online seller and frequent USPS on a daily basis always receiving incredible and QUICK service. This location is the WORST, insufficient, incompetent and SLOW location yet! They need to work on their speed, customer service, and not be understaffed. There is always the longest line when you go here. This location CONTINUES TO DISAPPOINT! The two Asian ladies that work there are VERY RUDE especially one they call Petchie (sp ) there is never a manager I can talk to - but by the way the employees are miserable and rude - I'm not too hopeful speaking to the manager will be a pleasant nor hopeful encounter.... shameful. read more

Horrible customer service and horrible mail delivery carriers for Aperture Cir residents always putting packages and lock-box keys into wrong address slot, then this office NEVER picks up their phone to get the issue corrected. Totally incompetent government employee -carriers. Packages via UPS that they handle as a contractor, are rarely delivered or even attempted to be delivered. I finally met w/ Ross Beck a supervisor there & he found a package that was shown on the USPS website "left at door" but was not since it is a coded entry to the building. I had to describe the box for him to physically find it in storage. Even w/ my tracking # he searched & had the same "left @ Door". My question is where do all the packages disappear to if they sit on a P.O. Shelf for a time? read more

I dropped a small package off at this location and the package has disappeared. It never was delivered, tracking never updated. This tells me that someone within this center STOLE THE PACKAGE! Filed a claim with the USPS but it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE to get the claim accepted for reimbursement. Perhaps this location should screen their employees better. read more

My package never arrived so through the chain of so-called "customer service" I was called by MAGGIE who was fairly unpleasant to speak with, she told me I would receive a follow up call which I never did. After about a week I emailed USPS customer service again about my package and received another call from MAGGIE who was even more rude, when I expressed my concerns she repeatedly cut me off and wouldn't let me talk. When I asked her to please stop interrupting me she finally stopped, but once I was done talking she very rudely asked if "I was through." She again assured me I would receive that follow up call, which, surprisingly I NEVER RECEIVED! She guaranteed me she would follow up, it was one of my many concerns... MAGGIE, probably a model employee in the US Postal system, but a part of the bigger problem that there is absolutely ZERO customer service and no reason for them to actually try to do their job.
