This is my Post Office. A tenure of 21 years for us. The government got this office spot on. Not like a stain on your shirt. The wait staff can be a bit variable at times, in terms of smiling. Blank, to a full on grin. It depends. My location is sort of hidden. Theirs, and mine. Use Google Maps. Oh, the P.O. Is next to your basic 7-11. Think about the income level for 15 miles in circumference. One day, I talked with Jennifer Anniston about this Post Office. She was standing in line in front of me and eyeing my 2000 Jeep. The building is always sparkling. Just like Jennifer. Nice teeth. But, this is UTAH. The nations leader in personal entitlement. This also carries over to customer manners but not so much when you're standing in line. The parkers are looking at their bank statements. Before you attempt to park, have your grandfather direct traffic (Utah drivers). Be careful since the parking lot is on a variable tilt. Up, down and sideways. Use your mirrors and then count to ten. I salute the staff at this location. They have a lot to put up with. Us. My mail carrier often waves to me and she most usually has a smile on her face. Come rain, snow, hail or a celebration of life. I suggest that you read the comments made by others. Make up your mind about the staff, the service, etc. Come on folks, give up on being so picky. When did you last pull a shift? A final thought about reading and commenting on Yelp. Instead, read the Sunday edition of the New York Times. They sell them Barnes and Nobles. Get the quiche and buy yourself a copy of David Sedaris's Christmas Story when you get your cup of coffee. His book is next to the sugar and creamer. Cheers to you... read more

It pains me to write this, but I cannot allow this disturbing experience to happen to anyone else's pet and family. Today I was out on my porch with my dog, when the mail carrier walked down the sidewalk. (Usually the mail carriers will pet my dog on the head and give him the occasional dog treat or a milkbone. He has even walked on his hind legs and done cute tricks for some of them. :) Some of the mail carriers even know my dog by name. He is just a little guy, only 14 pounds, and he's a senior (ten year old) miniature poodle with only like 5-6 teeth left. Most importantly, he is a service dog for my 12 year old son. As the mail carrier approached my home on the sidewalk, my dog ran over to greet her with a friendly bark. I, too, greeted her with a wave. Once my dog left my lap, I was already coming over to her to get my mail. I reassured her saying that "he is friendly" and then said "Wait, waaaiiit!!!!" because at the same time, the mail carrier reached into her bag and pulled out her pepper spray! Without pause, she leaned forward and doused my little dog right in the eyeballs! My dog was immediately in distress and crawling on the ground. I stood there shocked and asked "why the **** [she] would do that?!" The woman smirked and claimed he "could have bitten her". My dog is well trained and has never bitten anyone, and I told her that. Based on her body language (the fact that she leaned right in to spray my dog's eyes), along with her smirk, the three witnesses and I felt that she was not at all threatened by my dog. She sprayed him because she was inconvenienced by his greeting. To me, this was unnecessarily cruel and excessive use of force. I called the police, and then reported her to Holladay Post Office. The next thing I knew, her supervisor/manager arrived at my home in an unmarked black pickup truck, which the Post Office conformed was the manager. I went up and greeted him and tearfully asked him "How can I help my dog? He's suffering." He was immediately on edge and said in an antagonistic tone "well that's something you're going to have to figure out, because that's not my problem." He then threatened me twice, while another employee watched on in the passenger seat of the truck. It was appalling, and I was crying and confused. He told me he "was going to call Animal Control and have [my] dog taken away", and his second threat was him saying that he was going to "have [my] home life investigated with child protective services", and claimed my (crying) son was harassing the mail carrier. I found out a few minutes later my child flipped her off. I do not condone this behavior from my child, but I digress. Minutes later with the Animal Control Officer present, my child and his two friends told us that the manager threatened my son! My son and his two friends said that when the manager was driving up my street looking for my home, he told my child that "if [he] didn't tell him where we lived, that he was going to have my son's dog taken away by Animal Control". As if the pepper spraying of our little dog wasn't bad enough, the manager threatening my child was even more inappropriate. Because mind you, throughout this, he was harassing us while he was representing the US Postal Service. Minutes later as I was keeping to myself and filing the police report on my porch, the mail carrier was smiling and laughing it up with her supervisors at the corner of my property. I saw that the manager kept turning around & looking back at me and my eldest son, which also made me feel even more threatened. This entire situation was handled horribly. The experience was cruel and uncalled for. I filed a police report out of concern over her (sadistic) actions, but don't know what else to do. I don't want her to possibly repeat this cruel behavior with someone else's pet. :( read more

I had re-scheduled a delivery last week....waited like a sad dog near the door all day. No delivery. When I tried to call, the phone rang and rang before disconnecting me. Twice. Finally DROVE to this location. A sturdy, 30-ish woman w a ponytail and slanty sideways bangs was only a little helpful, saying the tracking # I had was incorrect. I asked her to look in the back; she said "No." Frustrated, I got back in line. This time, the WORLD'S SWEETEST MAN (brown hair and the tiniest hint of a stutter) took the time to not only explain tracking numbers to me, but had me to write down my address so that he could go look in the back. He returned moments later WITH MY BELOVED PACKAGE!!! I don't know why the first employee was so NOT customer-service-oriented. But the second guy made my WEEK. Thank you! read more

Terrible service. The associate got excited just because I asked questions about buying an return envelope with stamps. Horrible manners.

I forgot to get the name of the gentlemen who helped me over the phone when I called in regarding a potentially mis-delivered package for my customer today. He was so helpful and took the time to look up where the driver was at the time and genuinely wanted to make sure that if the mistake was on their end that they got it fixed. By the time I was able to reconnect with my customer (and discover that the package was not incorrectly delivered, but that she had accidentally used the wrong address), your office had already closed for the day, but I did want to say thank you for going above and beyond and making me feel cared for as a customer. read more

Absolute incompetence ... for the 4th time out of five vacation mail hold requests where I not only selected the "customer will pick up accumulated mail at post office" option online, but also wrote in the comments field in all caps "I WILL PICK UP ACCUMULATED MAIL AT POST OFFICE" to bring it to their attention, my mail was delivered to my house. What is so difficult about following simple - and duplicated - instructions?!? read more

Typical post office. They were open and helpful getting me boxes for my stuff. There wasn't a long line and they seemed happy to help. The place looked tidy and clean. Pretty organized as well. The gentleman Rob at the front counter was a great help, definitely not a 1 star location. I'll come back again because I use the mail system in this country. read more

The worst Post office in the valley rude. and inattentive. and does not scan packages even when dropped in the internal box. And have seen them many times sit in a chair and throw a package across the room and miss the bin. I ship every day. this one is nearest my house but is useless. read more

Requested a pick up from our house for a return. The boxes are heavy and my wife wasn't able to bring it into the actual post office because of health problems and they are heavy and awkward to carry. The post office said they would pick it up on Monday, no show, but actually received a conformation email saying it was picked up. Its still on our front steps as we speak on Wednesday, after another request for pick up for Tuesday. Unfortunately we have to use this post office because of where we live, but given a choice we'd gladly change. We liked this place before this incident, but not any longer. read more
