Terrible service. The associate got excited just because I asked questions about buying an return envelope with stamps. Horrible manners.

Tucked away in the wilds of northwestern Idaho, in an old mining town, the Murray, Idaho Post Office screams out nostalgia and the Wild, Wild West. In 1883 the town of Murray, Idaho didn't even exist, but the discovery of gold in the area led to a gold rush. Soon the town burgeoned full of 2,000 adventurous souls who came to stake a claim and get rich. Like many small towns of the era, the discovery of gold gave birth to Murray, and like many of those same small towns the absence of gold led to its virtual demise. By 1898 all that remained of the once booming town was a bunch of empty buildings and a handful of hopeful holdouts. Today, Murray is a stop of for tourists mostly passing through to Montana. But there are tours from Couer' d' Alene that take vans full of curious folks out to see a real live ghost town with fewer than 30 people living within its boundaries! That's Murray. Many original buildings are still standing, and this tiny post office proudly serves the handful of families that still need it. Though it is small, it is mighty and durably constructed to withstand the cold Idaho winters. If you find yourself visiting Boise or Couer' d' Alene, look for tours heading up to Murray. The town of Murray will surprise you with its ghost town look and feel, but the history of the place will captivate you. Murray is north of Wallace in Idaho's Silver Valley. Take exit 43 from Interstate 90 and follow the Couer' d' Alene River about 30 miles.

FedEx delivered a box downstairs by the mailboxes. They didn't bring it to my 4th floor apartment. I don't know if they have to or not. Either way the mailman saw me struggling with the big box approximately 35 lb. He stopped what he was doing and brought it to my fourth floor apartment, he was given permission to do this. I wish I could have tipped him but I don't carry cash so I hope this helps him in some way. He couldn't have done it without the lady's permission that was timing him. So I want to thank both of them. It means so much to me. I'm 67 years old and disabled. This was Washington Street Salt Lake City Utah. Thank you so much for your wonderful postal Service. They went above and beyond. Thank you for your kind and caring employees. Your regular postman for this area is a very kind and sweet man also. I met him when I first moved in and he showed me where my mailbox would be and it's at the very top and I'm short so I made a comment that have to bring a step stool with me when I take my mail and he told me that he would put my mail at the front of the box for me. Thank you so much for your kind and very helpful postal employees in this area. Joyce ///// Washington St Salt Lake City

Buyer Beware! Do not allow this post office to tell you that you can simply refuse a shipment that…read moreyou did not order or want. When you send it back this way, and the company on the other end does not want to pay for the shipping to get that product back, their "policy" it to throw it in the trash!! And you will be out the product and your money. I went to the post office to speak with the Manager About training his representatives better. He said they did it 100% correctly and that he also would have sent the package back in the same way. But in the same sentence, he said that they have an agreement and it is their policy that when that happens, they just trashed the item even though your name is clearly on the package and you told them it was worth $90.. So I called the postmaster General in Las Vegas and he backed them up 100% and said they did everything correctly. Just how hard would it have been for someone to say we can send it back that way however this could happen to you. I mean you got a job with the government agency and you can't speak that sentence? They were the ones who told me to send it back that way, knowing that they have this stinky policy that would allow them to throw your package in the garbage and you just lose your hundred dollar bill. I just want everyone out there to know that USPS Has this hideous policy and they stand behind it 100%!!! so never listen to the representative behind the counter and do not ever allow them to talk you into refusing the package!! All they had to do was insure it, or pay for the shipping to return it so that I would get the package back when they it or just tell me about this heinous SECRET policy that they have and then I could make an informed decision about how I wanted to mail it back. And then to be so unsympathetic, and so nonchalant that they would tell me, yes, we have the authority to trash. Your property is absurd! No wonder they are going bankrupt!!! And using our tax dollars to do it! If I could've given zero stars, I would have.

A couple of packages say they are still being held at this location, and the front desk lady (blonde)was very rude to me. I was just trying to understand why and how they haven't been sent out.
