Except for one gentleman with a Southern accent, there is no service at this branch of the Postal "Service." I sent a certified letter within town and it disappeared --- no signature obtained. After weeks waiting for the tracking to show something (It should have been delivered or returned within 15 days.), I went back to Riverside P.O., assuming I'd easily get a refund for lack of service that I paid for. The clerk took a look at my receipt, PS3800, which I sent without a return receipt, said it was untraceable without it and that she was not going to give me a refund. WRONG! It still had a number that had been scanned in. She then took the receipt back to, I presume , a supervisor, who also didn't seem to care 1) that the certified was weeks old, and 2) to get out of his chair to speak to me personally. Instead he called his lying minion at the Delran Branch who said she, ..."sent a bunch of certifieds back today." I know the USPS tracks certifieds in real time, so the idea that they couldn't find it was a total lie. The lazy supervisor took my number --- and never called me back. I called again several days later. They took my number. Never called me back. I called the postmaster:"He just stepped out." I used to work for the USPS. This was a standard lie all USPS managers, especially postmasters, used to avoid customers. They took my number. No call from the postmaster. I called the postmaster back the next day.The southern gentleman took my number because, "The postmaster is in Bellmawr"[the regional HQ, an excuse that is sometimes true, often false]. No call back from the PM.
I had to go to another P.O. to get the refund.
Riverside Post Office: stupid, lying, lazy clerks and managers. In addition, the Delran and Riverside Post offices are shabby and filthy, obviously run by a postmaster who couldn't care less about the image he's projecting to customers of the U.S. Postal Service. read more
