Large location with a lot of PO boxes and passport service. The line usually moves pretty quickly and the staff are always friendly.

I one hundred percent recommend this post office. I came in to mail my passport information and was promptly greeted and taken care of. I needed to expedite it and the person at the counter explained I didn't need to overnight my package, that if I priority mailed it it would arrive the same day. It's nice that there are still honest government employees. read more

This is how our lazy inconsiderate carrier delivered package. Not first time we had to struggle to get package out of box... but this time it's impossible. Rep at post office informed us the carrier does NOT have to deliver packages to your door. He could have just dropped this box on the ground at the cluster mailbox. I guess he crammed it into the receptacle as a courtesy???? SO all those tv ads showing smiling USPS carriers delivering packages to peoples doors is a FARCE!!!! Pay good money thinking you'll get your package; when in actuality it will most likely be dropped on the ground & stolen; or crammed into a receptacle that you can't get it back out of. read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Reading, Pennsylvania

I came here at a very busy time (around 12pm), and the line was as long as I've seen it in a major city post office. However, I was taken care of within 10 minutes, packaged weighted, gave me the best options for my wallet, offered stamps and sent me on my way. Serviced with a smile. When I walked in the staff was moving as fast as they can (maybe too much coffee, but who am I to say too much coffee is TOO much *sips* ) USPS is always busy, but I am fortunate to have a better experience than the ones who reviewed on here. It's also very clean, and they always have adequate pens available (which is unheard of in a post office.) Oh and I love the guy outside of the main room, he's amazingly patient and helped take a chunk out of the line. Overall, this was one of the experiences that I'm glad I wasn't deterred by yelp reviews and decided to check it out for myself. A+. read more

Me and my husband have had nothing but repetitive problems with this post office AND their workers. Hundreds of dollars worth of packages stolen, damaged, "lost", rude customer service.. just a nightmare. Just yesterday morning dropped off a package with the correct shipping label for an ebay sale. It should have gotten scanned yesterday and today it still has not been scanned, which means the package was stolen from someone there after we put it in the dropoff box. Now this causes us to have to not only refund the money to the buyer, but also pay the fee's, AND, the item is just GONE. This is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Totally incompetent people. I've called 47 times over the past 2 days and have managed to speak to an actual human 2 times. Issue was with mail forwarding - "Someone went rogue" and decided to just return to sender a package. Cody was actually helpful - he said they will try to re-reroute the package back to me. Called back today and spoke to "Someone" who claimed he did not know Cody, and transferred me to the line that nobody ever answers (the one I've called 47 times). I mailed a package priority mail that was supposed to arrive June 10. The tracking showed it out for delivery and then all accounting disappeared. It still says waiting for carrier scan. These people have no idea how a package got loaded on a truck and then disappeared and couldn't care less. I've contacted everyone including their Twitter representative and no one can get any answers. There goes hundreds of dollars of birthday gift plus the excess of shipping cost down the drain. No one is accountable just fuck you to the customer. read more

It is no new and revealing fact that USPS is on Comcast-level with Customer Service. Their employees are overpaid and under motivated, usually cultivated from the gouch of society. The business acts as both a government agency and a private entity, reaping the benefits of both while having the accountability of neither. In the hierarchy of postal services, product delivery and overall logistics USPS takes the cake as the absolute worst. It should also be of no surprise that because of this behavior, the USPS in August reported a loss of over $2,000,000,000.00 in the span of 3 months. Give yourself a moment to let that sink in. Because if their inflated salaries, benefits, and overall lack of giving two-shits about managing their employees or their reputation, they're circling the drain. The unfortunate truth is the alternatives are not much better. UPS is the best of the bunch, with Fedex basically being latched to USPS's underbelly, feeding off of them like a parasite. USPS has a monopoly on the nationwide courier services, and much like Comcast I eagerly await the day of reckoning. Google fiber has Comcast on its heels in every market which it has expanded to, and I have no doubt corporations like USPS will suffer the same fate once a suitable competitor rises to the challenge. All of this brings me to my review today. I selected this location because it's a sort of USPS hub of my area. After seven (7) phone calls to different numbers, the 2 day package I ordered and shipped on the 13th still hasn't arrived on the 24th. My ticket opened with USPS was closed without a call or an email. I am unable to open a new ticket because of that. My only answered call by a real life human was to the Temple location. And as cold as the Grinch's idol, the man told me I was shit out of luck. I'd like to end this review similar to how I started it. A quote, from a very appropriate Christmas movie: Clark: "Hey! If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. Post office is horrible, the clerk complained while helping me which ended up costing me $190 to send a box out and back to myself. They only want the pay God forbid work is involved, you can't even get through with a phone call. All choices disconnect you or you get filled mailboxes so nothing has to be dealt with. read more
