This was left open all day and night, I called this morning at 8:30, talked to someone about 15 minutes later. He was puzzled why I was calling to report this, almost like it was a common occurrence. His response was- the mail carrier will get that closed up today when they bring todays mail. Is there anything else I can help you with? ......yeah, maybe a little RE training? Not to mention for the 8.5 years we have lived here, we constantly get our neighbors mail put in our box. On a couple of occasions I have received packages/boxes as well. For all of your postal needs...this is the best post office. Starting off with easy access to the Post Office itself. Right on Dunlawton...the e trance is an easy turn and many parking spaces. Tbey even has an outside drop box. ... not many of those around anymore. Ample parking spaces for both folk regulars or us special needs. Now, if you need to go inside ... yes, you can drop off your items inside ....or get in line to be helped. Getting in line, okay... it may take a few minutes, but hey, we're on top of the ground, so take a breather and pause to organize yourself so that when in a minute or two it will be your turn. When called up, whoever is there will apologize for the wait... wait, you call that a wait... 2 minutes come on... no problems. I have never in all my years , well okay back in the 50s, 60's and 70's folk were gracious... and here again. It's pleasant as all get out. They apologize and say thank you.... stop the press... a happy, gracious, and helpful person working in the service industry.... thank you... So please .... don't walk into the post office with I'm here attitude..wait on me now...I'm late for an important date......plan your day accordingly and help keep this post office one of the very best. I have been to some lousy post offices over the years. What a breath of fresh air this branch is. Smiling faces, helpful clerks that keep the line moving and the place is clean. Plenty of parking spaces out front as well. I will always try to use this location whenever possible. read more

The personnel at this post office are very friendly and accommodating. I have gone in there multiple times, and the line is backed up pretty far. They are so quick and efficient in servicing the people. I don't think I have waited even 10 minutes before being helped. Definitely my go-to post office!!! read more

Did not receive any mail Saturday December 31, 2022 and some very important and email told me the exact mail that would be in my box on Saturday. Of course, January 2, 2023 is the New Years holiday for post offices in the U.S. and not Saturday December 31, 2022 So the note indicated delivery would be Saturday December 31, 2022 for about 5 to 6 pieces of mail listed.. read more

Overall just OK. It gets busy at times and then it is very hectic. The incident with the deaf woman put a big black eye on this location and the customer service. I tend just to use it to drop mail off that I want in a secure box other than my home mail box. read more

Horrible service. Postal driver is horrible in waters edge. Wrote all over my envelope and left it in my box. Took to post office and they couldn't figure out why they wrote on it and left it. It had the correct amount of postage needed to send it. So aggravated. Now the envelope will make it to my family with scribbles over the writing and she circled my stamps. Wtf. Educate your drivers. They have one job and can't accomplish it. After going to the Daytona post office my package was not overweight and they couldn't understand why the driver didn't take it. After reading the disgusting reaction from post office workers here who refused to write down their communication on paper for a deaf woman, I have absolutely zero respect for the people that work there. They claimed it "wasn't the law" and they didn't have to write anything down, and to "get an interpreter". Honestly, how rude can you be? It's downright infuriating. i moved to Port Orange in Oct. 2018. have used this post office many times. Workers always very friendly ! even during Christmas rush, there were lines but they moved quickly. Absolutely baffled worse costumer Service ever, 3 times in one month the deliver men missed placed and missed delivered my mail and packages I complained to the managers Marty and Kim and they assure they would take care of the situation they were not great at it , a package was missed delivered a 4th time complained again talked to Mary and Kim they assured me she will retrieve the package the mailman delivered to the wrong address never got my package or a call back from Kim or Marty I gotta say they do not go the Xtra mile to fix an ongoing situation when there delivery men is clearly doing a terrible job ,every time i called the location they forwarded me to voice mail or told me they will call me back and never did. read more

This is a very good post office with extended hours and (joy!) an automated post system in the lobby for mailing packages 24/7. They can be very busy though and during peak traffic times the post office on Beach Street, though several miles away, never seems to have lines. I've always seen the employees here go out of their way to help people. They've always been kind and patient, especially to older folks who need assistance filling out forms. I think the port orange Florida post office is one of the worst post offices i have ever dealt with!! I sent three boxes that were only 30 pnds apiece an it cost me 155.00. Ok whatever but they were only going to Pennsylvania. Well its day 21 an im still waiting. After over a week i tracked them an they were sitting in Jacksonville. Why?? Now there saying their in Jacksonville still an i need to go on website cuz something must be wrong. Their guess is the boxes must have came open an my stuff is sitting in claims just waiting to be claimed. So no email?? Come on!! No one was going to say a thing. Why is delivering mail such a challenge for these people?? So many f*cking problems with the mail here: Getting my neighbor's mail, my packages left at the neighbor's house, randomly reassigning our mailboxes, shoving packages in my box that take me 20 minutes to get out, and giving my package to a stranger. The supervisor is terrible. The rest of the employees are great. The supervisor needs to learn how to deal with customers who are upset instead aggravating the situation even more. I did get upset and said maybe I should have gone to UPS. Instead of saying, "thanks for your negativity" he should have tried to be more helpful. It is not the first time I had a negative response from him. I sent a package addressed to WA on Monday. I checked the tracking only to find out it left Port Orange, went to Jacksonville, was in mid Florida, back to Port Orange and then back to Jacksonville. This is an item I am returning for a refund and of course I won't get refund until it gets to destination. read more

I was willing to pay for a mail label and some tape. They acted as if I was asking for something they had never heard of. I had to go buy tape, make a label and go back to mail it. I have had a post office box here for a year. The customer service has always been very good. When I closed my box, I mistakenly has packages in route and was so worried they would take longer being forwarded or I would be charged. I accepted the outcome. Today I get a text from Carrie at the Post office letting me know my packages were there and asking me if I wanted her to hold them for me. YESSS! I live in a neighborhood that has those central locking mailboxes. The letter carrier has put the house numbers inside each box but still can't seem to figure out how to get the right mail in the right box. I am constantly getting my neighbor's mail and if I get a package it's put in the storage locker and I never get the key. Calls to the post office are never answered. I'm sure Amazon must be getting tired of refunding me for items that I've never received but have probably been put in the wrong box. read more

Been calling for over a week to make an appointment to submit an application for my passport and they never answer the phone no option to leave a voice mail and get a call back , took the morning off work to go in and see if I can get my application done and they refused to help me , only offered an appointment for 2 days later at a time that I have to be at work, I explained that I been calling for over a week and I can't get a hold of anyone and they did not care to help me in my situation , most inept ppl I have ever dealt with worse service ever. read more

This post office is the worst. They almost never answer the phone. Lines are frequently very long. Staff is often unhelpful and borderline rude. Mail deliveries are often incorrectly delivered causing neighbors to hand deliver each other's mail. Forwarding and unforwarding mail is often messed up. I avoid using this office whenever possible. The post master is argumentive and often unhelpful, which is probably what sets the tone for the staff at this location. read more

I have to agree with all the complaints very incompetent people over there in Port Orange and they get away with doing whatever they feel like. We had rented a P.O box for a short time until we were able to get the mail forwarded to our new address. My husband called to cancel the box and spoke to "Carrie" about what contents were in the box she stated it was full and we have 10 days to collect the mail before they remove it from the time of cancelling. We sent a key home to our son to retrieve our mail. Upon his trip to the PO Box two days before the due date he finds the box empty he goes back the next day and talks to someone at the counter who proceeds to tell him it has been sent back. I then call and speak to "Enrique" who doesnt know what is going on because "Carrie" is not there today so my husband calls back the following day to speak to "Enrique" but he has to locate "Carrie" so another long wait on hold to find out "Carrie" took the mail out of the box before the time frame of the ten days and sent it back to who knows where and there is nothing we can do now since we were paying on this box isn't that considered theft why is it okay for them to go in your mailbox and do whatever they want after it was told and emailed that we had ten days from the date of cancellation!!!!!! read more
