TERRIBLE service, they honestly can't answer a damn phone to safe their life's. absolutely NO customer service whatsoever. I asked for information on A package, and i was told to call back (hours) later. When I did call them back (8 times) they wouldn't pick up. the lady (wouldn't provide her name) has THE worst attitude EVER. highly recommend she takes a class or training course on customer service. read more

I used the USPS tracking website to find out where was a piece of mail that was sent from Connecticut to my P.O.Box at the Ossining Post Office. I found out that it had been received on June 26th at 2.16pm. It has been more than a month and I never received it. I called the post office several times and nobody answers the phone. It is frustrating to deal with this post office. read more

I have been waiting for a check that was mailed on 3/24.2023. I was away at the time, and returned home on 3/27. I had filled out the yellow card before I left for my trip, requesting that all accumulated mail be delivered on 3/28. I did get mail on 3/28, but I could tell that it was only mail that would have been delivered that day. I went down to the Post Office and spoke to one of the employees and requested that they look to see whether my accumulated mail was still in the post office. The person came out after about 5 minutes with a large stack of mail for me - the mail that had accumulated when I was away from 3/20-3/27. That part is resolved, but I am still looking for the check that is floating around somewhere. The person who sent it owns a small business, and did not put a tracker on it from their end. They, obviously did not think it was a problem. This is not the first time we have gone away and had problems with the mail when we returned. Also, as one other person indicated, you cannot reach them by phone. I would like to speak to the Post Master and will keep trying. read more

I chose my words very carefully here, but the best word I can sum this place up is abysmal. When I lived at a previous residential address it was bad enough that sometimes more than once a week, we would have to redeliver mail to our neighbors. I once got mail for the town hall, even though its a mile away from where I lived (which I had to redeliver) However, this past month, although I get notifications by email of post I am expecting, I've received not one piece of mail. It goes to a locked box so it's not like someone could just help themselves to it. I reported it 3 times and each time, no one calls me back. I call back today, naturally frustrated and repeatedly try and explain the issue, but each time I am fobbed off with poor excuses and there is no interest in resolving this and eventually as I am trying to get the person to take it seriously, they threaten to just hang up. I know the postal service is suffering because of restraints, but this place has always since living there been appallingly bad. The counter service is ok albeit slow, but the delivery service and customer service is the worst. read more

Grappling with every single bit of information thrown at you, only to negatively create a byproduct, that's not beneficial for productive use will ultimately render you insane. Very very very very slow, bad customer service. Nothing else to say. This place suck! If you wanna locate your package dont even bother calling them, they wont even try to help you. Almost everyone here hates their job. The only person whos friendly is the older black guy with eyeglasses and i forgot his name (sorry) but aside from that, try to avoid this location. They are horrible!! They lose packages. They damage packages. They dont do any follow up calls even when you make a complaint and recieve a confirmation number. They are suppose to contact you in 2 to 3 days once you have made the complaint but they never do. I have made 2 or 3 complaints and recieved 2 or 3 confirmation numbers and nothing.(There have been plenty of problems but there is no use to report all of the situation because no one ever does anything to fix the problem.) Badly understaffed, with long lines most of the time. Whereas I live close to this post office, I avoid it whenever possible. Traveling to post offices in other towns is sometimes quicker and always less annoying. What makes things even worse is all of the questions the staff are required to ask in order to follow regulations. Privatizing changed a postal service that was well-run by the government into a dysfunctional mess. Delivery of mail is equally bad--I frequently get others' mail, and they get mine. read more

We have had offices in Ossining for over 20+ years, and for the last 5 years the postal service has been AWFUL!! They can NOT keep a consistent mail carrier, who not only remembers our suite numbers, but more importantly CARES about the job they are doing. There have been multiple days of NO mail delivery or pick up, and almost daily wrong mail delivery. I have personally had to bring the carrier in and sort the mail and tell them where to take it MANY MANY TIMES!! RIDICULOUS!! It is really no wonder why the US Postal Service is going under. They do not do the job anymore!! Long gone are the days of the mighty postal service!! Well at least that is the case here in Ossining...SHAME ON YOU!!! read more

I live in croton and the service there is always pleasant. However this post office is just as great. The hours are nice and late . I would especially like to give a BIG thank you to ADAMS and DENISE for always being pleasant and professional. They make you feel good when you come here. Keep up the good work guys. read more

In the past two weeks, there have been 4 days of no delivery service. Two of those days were Friday and Saturday. That means Thursday was the last mail until (maybe) Monday wth Tuesday being a holiday. When I call, the phone rings forever before anyone picks up (if at all) and I am always told "they are heading to you right now." Our regular carrier had an accident and his routs is being split up between five people, but I really don't care how hard the job is. I get my message through CVS Caremark, and it comes in the mail. I'm new to Ossining and I was curious to see how I would compare the post office here to the others that I've experienced. So far, I've found the service here to be favorable. The lines are not usually over-long, at least not when I go there. The people have been cheerful and have provided good service. i have never seen such a badly run post office like this . Lines are frequently very long ,and staff is overwhelmed . Supervisors hide behind the scenes and do not come out to help unless the crowd get boisterous . and when forced to pitch in act like they are doing you a favor . Postmaster is unavailable and out (where I dont know since his job is makings sure the public is serviced ) . Large facility ,with carriers that refuse to even make an attempt at delivering packages that require a signature since it is easier to write a slip and have the consumer go to the PO and pick up their boxes .
