Generally fast clerks and haven't received anyone else's mail like I did at my last PO box. There's not a self-service machine and the PO has short hours. Would scream for joy if they'd put a self-service machine in here. read more

Post Office couriers are required to deliver packages that can not fit into a mailbox to the doorstep that it is addressed to. Want to know how many times a package got delivered to my door? Zero times. Pure laziness. When I went in to check, the lady directly told me that courier is LAZY. I will be filing a complaint as apparently this is happening with many other individuals in the town. read more

Recently I sent a box to San Diego, and Ocean Shores postal services sent it to Florida! Very careless! The package arrived at California two days late, after I spent much time on the phone tracking it through their 1-800 number. The package was ripped open with many items soaking wet. I am so frustrated. Filling out a couple formal complaints. This is ridiculous. Looks like it's UPS for me from now on. read more

Worst mail service I have ever had. Mail constantly misdelivered, packages left out in the open to porch pirates and rain. Tried over and over again to work with the Postmaster(s) to do something about the quality of mail carrier service to no avail. A neighbor was verbally acosted by our carrier in the lobby of the post office because he did not put his mail box in "order"....NONE of our mail boxes are in order because we are the only ones in Ocean Shores required to put our boxes on a dark, insecure corner at the end of our street while all others have them in front of their homes. The ongoing hassle (ever since delivery started in Ocean Shores, years ago) to just get our mail and packages delivered safely as USPS requires them to be is getting worse and worse as the mail carriers are simply allowed to run amok with their attitudes and lousy work ethics while the safety of our mail and packages is a constant privacy and safety concern. We even came to an agreement with the Postal Inspector who came down to review the situation and it has been totally ignored as we find our packages left in the rain and have to deliver the misdelivered mail to those to whom it belongs. Believe me...this is only a short narrative describing what we go through to just get out mail delivery done right.....It seems to me there should be some legal issues here. read more

Updated to add recent issue. I had to go out of town on short notice and was expecting a prescription that is not supposed to be allowed to get too hot to be delivered while I would be away and Express Scripts made the mistake of sending it via USPS instead of UPS (I pay extra for shipping via UPS or Fedex to make sure I actually get my prescriptions). Even in our cooler weather, dark metal objects, like black painted metal mailboxes, get incredibly hot (think dark painted car in full sunlight). So I hoped against hope that the OS branch wouldn't FUBAR something this bloody simple and called the branch directly to have them hold the package at the post office instead of filing a general mail hold online. I was assured by the woman with whom I spoke that absolutely, the package would be held at the post office for me. As is par for the course with this branch of the USPS, the package was not held at the post office and spent the week and a half between when it was delivered and when I returned in that hot mailbox. I'm now paying to have the prescription sent again, but at least this time they'll use either Fedex or UPS. I use the USPS as little as possible because the Ocean Shores branch can't seem to fix their recto-cranial inversion problem no matter what, a fact this most recent FUBAR illustrates perfectly. read more

Our delivery packages are always left on road side in front of our house from USPS (not on our covered porch, next to the door or garage). Even in the rain (no bags ever used), we have even had packages ran over. The united states postal service is failing your primary job. Deliver the mail to the resident. The clerk (Jessika) was rude and did not seem to want to help me. I work at a medical facility and was waiting for a part that was needed for a patient. I knew it was placed in our P.O. Box as we had a slip that let us know. I forgot to bring in the slip but was ready to show ID and let them know who the box was from and what it contained. She never gave the opportunity for me to explain anything. She was totally dismissive and rude. She did finally write a new ticket and made me go back to the P.O. Box to retrieve the slip ( She wanted to make sure I could access the P.O. Box and I get that) but she never said why and was just plain rude by the way she went about it... and the big SIGHS she gave indicates either she is working too hard or she needs to be trained in customer service (TRAIN THIS GIRL OR FIRE HER). It's bad enough we get the wrong mail put into our boxes but to have the rudeness is making things worse. read more

The staff at the Ocean Shores Post Office have constantly HELD/Redirected my mail! I'm retired Air Force and this has become a problem with correspondence with the DOD & VA as well as other mailings. I've recently grown tired of this childish, unprofessional behavior and have filed a complaint with USPS central to correct this attack on my flow! Specific staff person is KELLIE/Kelly who has some kind of Bipolar mental issue in dealing with her. No respect for Veteran's or Seniors. read more

They create their own rules when they don't want to deliver. When they get called out they lie and try to make the customers think they were at fault. Retaliation is normal after you complain. read more

Probably the one good thing in this town! The customer service at this post office is unbeatable. Very friendly and accommodating. I wish I'd have gotten the name of the young woman working there but she was exceptional. I asked her about where I could find something and she could have just pointed but instead, walked around the counter to come and show me. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of care shown here. This post office has a few good people at the counter. But the mail carriers (contractors) lose mail and they leave it in other mailboxes. This locations needs a complete overhaul. Sad to say the least. And don't wait around for a call back. It will never happen. read more

I can only speak for customer service in the office, as my mail delivery has only just begun. But, I have to tell you, so far my experience is absolutely amazing, and why I find some of the scathing reviews a bit perplexing. I have had quite a chaotic experience getting set up since moving here through no fault of theirs. Every step of the way Kelly, Jessica, and a young man who's name I am unsure of, have been nothing but kind, and extended me courteous considerations due to what was out of my control as well. They always meet me with a smile, say hello, and actually seem genuinely concerned about figuring out the issue, and the difficulties surrounding finding my mail, and getting my mailbox in for weeks now. Also things are done a bit differently here than where I came from, and they have not gotten exacerbated, or made me feel uncomfortable as I'm trying to kind my way with the newness of it all, and instead have treated me with great patience and understanding. Moving is a very difficult thing at any age, but I think especially when your just this side of 60, and don't really know a soul. I for one can't tell you how grateful, and appreciative I am that whether they know it or not, they were actually the biggest day brightener those first few extremely stressful weeks. :) read more

Always missing packages, thankful the people who get them by mistake are good enough to bring them to me. The attitudes of the employees are terrible. Also receiving mail after 10 pm is absolutely ridiculous. I've lived all over the U.S. and this is absolutely the worst postal service I've had the displeasure to deal with. read more

Great, fast, easy service. Staff is nice and competent. No problem opening a pobox here. Avoid the noon rush and there are zero lines. Really appreciate they put packages in lockers so I don't have to go up to the counter unnecessarily. read more

After some initial delivery problems with my mail, this post office made great improvements in services. The staff is very friendly and courteous, except for one employee who manages to ruin my experience every time I go inside for counter services. In the four years I have been going there, I have never seen her smile even once or go out of her way to be polite. She always manages to find a way to be irritable and condescending. This is definitely a case of one bad apple, and I have to remind myself to give credit to the rest of the staff for their efforts. read more
