    Hands-down worst company I have ever dealt with. They had a regular practice of not picking up…read moretrash. I patiently dealt with it for several years and it happened so many times that I lost count. It would happen on average about once every 2 months. This was not due to holiday schedules. It got to the point that when I put the trash out, I had no idea if it would be picked up or not. I finally had enough when they didn't collect trash for 2 weeks straight. No holiday, no communication, I even left it out an extra day each time just in case they came around. This was the 2nd time they skipped 2 weeks in a row, the same happened a year earlier. After that, I cancelled service and found another local company to pick up what was at that point 3 weeks of trash. I called to cancel and explained the situation and why I wouldn't pay the final invoice. The lady I spoke with did everything she could to lay blame on me and try to charge me for service that they didn't provide. She even tried to claim they have cameras on all their trucks - implying they could prove I was lying. Even though they didn't provide service, she said they were billing me anyway and if I didn't pay it would go to collections. I've gotten several bills for that invoice since, and have explained to their collections dept twice why I won't pay for services they didn't provide. But they keep trying. I would recommend never using this company. And if you have service with them, to cancel. Their service is terrible, their customer service is terrible and their prices are far higher than local competitors. Do yourself a favor and don't get involved with these people.

    Evenlink promises superb customer service but does not deliver…read more 1) BAIT and SWITCH: Called to setup service - experienced bait and switch when I was told the requested (basic) package was not sufficient for the services listed on the website (Phone over internet) and I needed to purchase a more expensive package 2) Awful (non-existent) Communication: Service setup required Evenlink to coordinate with Verizon to send a technician. Yet Evenlink could not be bothered to call me to let me know the tech would be out that day. Therefore, he couldn't get into my house. 4 times. Eventually, I had to leave my door unlocked...for a week. They called me a total of ONE TIME. The rest of the time, I had to call THEM to ask when the tech was scheduled, was service installed, can I have a refund, has someone decided IF I can have a refund, etc. A simple phone call goes a long way people... 3) Refused to provide full refund: BEFORE my service began, I decided that the customer service was worse than Verizon, and I did not want their service any longer. So I called and told them. They don't let you talk to the person making the refund decision, but will relay the decision to you. Long story short, I am out $30 of the $75 initially paid because I chose to give them a chance. The main reason for me to purchase service from Evenlink was the horrendous customer service experience I had with Verizon. As it turns out, Evenlink simply adds an additional layer of poor customer service and lack of communication. NOTE: I called Verizon, setup service, and scheduled a technician to visit to set up the service, all in one call (after being disconnected twice). I have already received a confirmation phone call and know that the local technician has my phone number in case there are problems on site (something Evenlink did not bother to do). I still hate having to have service through verizon, but I guess I have to go with the lesser of 2 evils.

    I've been a customer for over five years. There has been occasional slowness and an occasional…read morebrief outage. On the whole, though, service had been fine. BUT... For the second time in as many months, wireless service from their Sunbury tower is down completely. The first time, equipment on the tower failed and had to be replaced; but even then there were problems for weeks beforehand that didn't lead them to diagnose the problem before total failure occurred. This time, it's over a week with no service. Evenlink's main phone number has had a recorded message that they are having trouble with their upstream provider, but it's near impossible to get hold of a tech support representative (only available during business hours M-F). Even when tech support is reached and they promise to call me back with a status update, I never hear from them. Unfortunately there is no alternative provider that I've been able to find: too far from the CO for DSL and cable does not run to the house, meaning an exorbitant installation cost. Short version: unreliable, unresponsive and unprofessional
