I have not received a single piece of my mail in over a week, i never experienced what i've experienced with this post office it needs to be re-branched. Wish i could leave 0 stars read more

The absolute WORST. If I could leave zero stars I would. They have placed my packages on the porch after I repeatedly told them to put it in my mailbox because they have been stolen. In addition, when I have reported my packages have been stolen even though it says delivered I am pretty much told too bad. Today I cake waited in line over 30 minutes only to be told the person who handled the pick up window was gone for the day. If you can avoid this place please do so!! read more

BEWARE!!!! The delivery person will steal your packages!!!!!! They will mark it delivered and keep driving. If USPS has something to say about it PROVE ME WRONG! WHERE IS MY PACKAGE????????? read more

one of the employees literally cut my AirPods out of the packaging and stole it I have it pinging on my find my in their house but of course the post office won't do anything about it read more

Update: they ONLY and ALWAYS have ONE woman working the lobby area while the line goes all the way out the door and to the parking lot. They should really consider hiring MORE ppl to help with the overwhelming demand!!! This is the worst postal service ever. I waited for over an hour just for the woman at the desk to tell me they don't have my package and they are backed up! So you mean to tell me someone at the post office scanned my package as an attempt and my other one ad delivered when NO ONE even tried to deliver!!! So where is my package then?!?!? All she can say is I'll take your info and call you but it won't be no time soon lmao this place a joke I have an item that's over $1000 that you are HOLDING and all you can say is it won't be no time soon. She didn't even bother to go check and look for the package! She just took my ID and said oh I know it's not here. Delivery companies are suppose to DELIVER NOT HOLD packages because you don't want to do your job! This department seriously needs to be looked into. I already put in a lost claim for one they claimed they delivered and the other one well I'll just keep visiting today to see if I can be successful on getting my package! read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

This place is THE WORST! This is the 2nd time these lazy carrier did not deliver my package and lied saying No Access. I guess not when you don't get your lazy self out to ring the doorbell. I'm looking to petition to have this place closed. My sister paid to have packages delivered, not for me to have to pay someone to take me to get them. I have been at this since Friday, February 21, 2020 1pm when they claimed No Access to Location. read more

US Post Office - My accessible doorbell. - Post Offices Near Me - Newark, New Jersey

If I could leave a review with ZERO stars, I would. This is THE worst post office in Newark and probably the world. The manager is extremely rude and the workers I've had a few nice ones but overall, they're also rude. Everyone there is super slow paced. It's almost always to the point that there's a line going out the door. They RARELY ever do their jobs because they often don't deliver packages, and pretend that they "attempted delivery" meanwhile someone is always home and they would've left a pink slip if they did attempt anything. This has happened to me on NUMEROUS occasions (more than 10 times). Even if you try to schedule a redelivery, they won't do it. Anyone you ask that is from around the area can agree and say that this is THE WORST post office. The whole place needs to start from scratch by firing everyone that works here, management and the delivery people included. read more

I only put one star because you can't put any fewer. The people here are rude, appeared to be lazy, and are careless at their jobs. The carrier regularly fails to leave a notice of a package delivery, and then they fail to deliver it on the scheduled redelivery date. Pretty much, go to any other Post Office you can. Additionally, you can't even complain effectively on their website. I see why the USPS is going out of business. They deserve it. read more

UPDATE: 9-12-2019: ::sigh:: So I guess now the new thing on the tracking page of the USPS website is to say (and I c*p'd this directly): "Your item arrived at the NEWARK, NJ 07103 post office at 5:22 pm on September 12, 2019 and is ready for pickup." Except that's *not* what the tracking from the source of the package said, which was "No Secure Location Available". At least the former tries to clean it up: we have your package, come get it... that's *if* they even left a notice. But the fact remains that someone was home, and they still could have-- oh, I don't know-- maybe DONE THEIR JOB AND RUNG THE EAR-SPLITTING DOORBELL? Novel idea, amirite? Ugh. They are so bad at this simple act. UPDATE-3/24/2019: Wow. I really fail to understand how, in 2019, they still get away with "We tried to deliver but we had no access to the front door or mailbox". Pardon my lapse into crassness, but FOH. I live in a complex. There is nothing obstructing access to any of the complex's doors. We have working doorbells/buzzers. My family were all at home at the time of delivery, and the buzzers are so loud people in other apartments hear them going off and think it's *theirs*. The carrier didn't even try. No access to the mailboxes? I call shenanigans. There is a GIANT central mailbox OUTSIDE. Our boxes are large enough to fit a small parcel in--and I know for a fact my delivery could be fit into a small padded envelope. They are really getting out of hand. If anyone for this branch is reading this, DO. BETTER. Stop with the excuses, because this time you had NONE. If the standby really is "get rid of the packages" (a former worker insists it is), there's no reason for the carrier to not to have left my delivery in the mailbox. UPDATE-12/13/2018: Okay, these people have truly lost their cotton-picking consarn minds. It took my kid's encounter with the carrier today to remind me that said package carrier who wreaks havoc on my complex regularly tends to literally THROW deliveries at the bottom of the stairs or on the FLOOR at the bottom of the stairs if you live on the second floor. She did this today right in front of my kid! WHO. DOES. THIS?! I mean, if it was a fragile package, it would have been damaged! All this pettiness (or is it just laziness?) because she was inconvenienced with having to ring the doorbell two entire times. Awh, pobrecita. UPDATE: Got a call from a snippy, borderline rude someone at the facility who attempted to gaslight me about whether or not carriers ever delivered packages off their trucks to people in my complex--as if it was never done. Note to staff: gaslighting residents who have lived somewhere over ten years and who have been physically handed packages by a carrier inside the complex as little as three months ago is not a good way to instill confidence in your customers. Get it together. read more

This place is not bad as all the reviews make it seem like it is, I haven't had one rude or disrespectful employee come at me with any nasty attitude, I feel like this place is good and treats people with respect unless you get outta hand than its different but this place is good I've been going here since I move to jersey and its a cool post office don't let all the nasty reviews from 4 years ago make y'all not stop here. read more

Worst post office I've ever been to. They hire the most ghetto and rude people to work in this establishment. They are on their phone while assisting. It's sad to say that when you go somewhere in Newark you already know you're going to deal with bad customer service. I don't understand how someone can scream at a customer for asking questions. I usually drive to Kearny's post office but yesterday I was in a rush. Never again! The standard for hiring is very low at this location. read more

the Old lady at the window all the way to the left is extremely rude, nasty, impatient, and disrespectful. Her rude comments made my time there dreadful and she needs to be fired. This place is so unprofessional. If only I could rate this place with -5 stars read more

The government hates us. How do I know you ask? Why just look at the way they run their post offices! Just kidding... kinda, sorta, not really. I visited this post office the other day just to drop off a package and expected this to be a quick errand. However, a long line coupled with only two working postal employees meant waiting about 30minutes just to hand them a package. *sigh* read more

Just your typical post office short on staff and usually a longer than it should be wait time. As always I'm not a fan of hood businesses due to the poor customer service and this place follows that same pattern. Every now and then you get the lady with the funky hood attitude but I was lucky today. I try to avoid the Post Office as I find it a pain to deal with. read more

If I could give negative star, I so will. This is the WORST post office ever! I can't stress this enough... I hate coming here... it's just ridiculous. Long lines, staff is rude and not to mention slow! Don't even bother calling THEY NEVER PICK UP and by a miracle they do they hang up on you. Every time I come here it's the same shitttt! Sorry not sorry. read more

I received a notice stating attempted delivery/notice left on Saturday February 24, 2018: I was home and have security cameras surrounding my home, which shows no one approaching my home, even worse the package did not require a signature so it could have been left on the porch. This is not the 1st time this post office attempted this stunt! if you are hired to deliver packages please do your job---I have lodged a complaint with their internal affairs division and with their customer service department. read more

Ooof, second time my merchandise entered the black hole here. This postal facility is either or both, grossly mismanaged or a criminal theft ring. Just search it and you'll see what I mean. Good luck on your packages. Mine arrived weeks later damaged to all hell. read more

Worst post office ever. Rude unprofessional employees. Manager is even more rude. I couldn't believe how they act in this place.

I would rather stub my toe 87 times than to visit this post office. Seriously. I pay more for UPS, FedEx or just let packages go back if they are delivered through them. They don't deliver your packages. They have told me so. They say they that are 'too busy to knock on doors.' What?! You have to go to the post office and stand in line for hours to get packages. The attendants are mean and angry about life. Mr. Cordero is the only proficient carrier. If all else fails ask for him. read more

I wouldn't even go to this post office, but it is my local post office, so I have no choice. With the volume of people they get here they never have enough people to serve the customers in a timely manner. I have had to wait in excess of an hour, just to pickup a package. Some times they have a line just for people picking up packages, and it goes a little faster. I never have been treated rudely, but I've had to wait!! My problem today is that I had some contact lenses to be delivered, and I was supposed to get them on Saturday, but they were listed as "out for delivery" on Friday. I didn't get them. I figured they would come on Saturday, the original delivery date. Not so. I called the contact company and they said that they were "available for pick-up." I never got a notice that they were not able to be delivered, and since I waited for the mailman (who told me he had no package for me,) I didn't go to get the contacts. I tried to go online to have them redelivered, but the redeliver field remained blank, so I couldn't use that option. To say that this is an inconvenience, is an understatement!! I just am sooooooooooo disappointed, especially since now I'm out of contacts!!!! smh read more

They sent my package back to sender 4 days after they received it, and never bothered to leave a note on my door or in my mailbox. There are very few constants in life, but I know I can count on this post office to screw things up at every chance. read more

When I send packages to Newark and it goes to this post office, 98% it's NOT delivered and I have to chase the package and almost beg for the package to be delivered. Hey mailmen. Do you know what is the secure location available? Coming to my apartment and knocking at the door. I'm sure you will find a secure location right away, me. But if you come downstairs go to the mailboxes and put the easy ones and decide not to deliver the packages properly, then don't say there is no secure location. I'm disabled and tired of spending money in Uber to go get the package at the post office when I know for sure you had my package at my building the day before. The only way they leave the package is if they can stuff it in the mailbox. The only reliable mailman i can say is customer oriented is Timothy Melvin. He always has been very helpful. Thumbs up to him. And days ago another male mailman brought my package to my door too. One in a 1,000. Today Saturday, August 12, 2017 again Im getting another "no secure location" when i have been at my apartment all day. Hope this help the postmaster to tight the rope a little. We deserve good service no matter we live in a luxury condo or in a project. read more
