Once I sent my clock in the stalling started, more excuses after another about delays. Then after pushing hard like after 9 months I got this message from him, what nerve! - Sorry, no. Too many factors to give, even a relative, a firm date. It may slip again and as an example I'm returning an Atmos today (actually shipping) that came in 08/05/2015. Yours came in 10/05/2015 and there are 7 that came in ahead of yours. And to be perfectly blunt, if a customer send an Atmos and wants expedited service, then they would go to the top of the list because they just committed to paying $1,000. labor vs. $500. While my bank account appreciates these jobs, my back orders do not but I am chasing the buck. Mike

He told me how to test the clock before sending it to him to ensure that it was not overheating. If it was overheating, the motor would have been shot and sending him the clock would have been a waste of money. So it was clear he wasn't trying to scam me: he didn't want me to send a clock that he knew in advance probably could not be fixed, even though he could probably charge a diagnostic fee. Once that hurdle was cleared, Mike gave me a clear set of instructions that described exactly how long the process would take and exactly how much it would cost. In other words I was aware that it would take time and I was not impatient or frustrated. Everything went exactly as he said it would. He answered emails almost immediately and gave me updates at regular intervals. I saw the negative Yelp post and all I can say is that my experience was exactly the opposite. The whole process was great: efficient, polite and successful. I would recommend Mike to anyone who has a broken vintage clock that is within his area of expertise and I have no doubt that he will be entirely up-front about what he can and cannot do.

They picked up right away and were at an event feeding the homeless, I felt terrible for asking for help, but they agreed to come out and help us after we explained what was going on, even though they were busy, it was after hours and the day before a major holiday. The two movers worked hard to meet that request, including figuring out a useful solution for us (unloading some things into the garage instead of putting everything in the house, which helped us meet our goal). The driveway is very steep, and initially Phil thought said could cut it in half with a ramp out of the side of the truck. His time estimate was based on that idea, but it turned out we couldn't use the ramp, so the movers had to work harder than anticipated. They still made it happen, though -- it was more work than they expected going into the job, but they were very kind about it.

The guy Phil was absolutely a kind man answered the phone right away and we were actually able to get a move scheduled for the next day!!! I was so relieved. Even though they were showing up later in the afternoon that worked out perfect for us because we were still boxing things up at that point. Move went really really well and smooth and the two movers were AWESOME! They were really careful with all our things and you could tell they secured everything in their big truck professionally. I thought the price was really reasonable too, especially because they were available for a move when we really needed it. We're still feeling so grateful for this company and the guys that helped us.
