I've lived in the area for 14 years. I have never once been in this post office where there wasn't a long line. Ever. I don't find the employees rude, just slow and completely indifferent to their inefficiency and the frustration of their customers collecting cobwebs while waiting. Typical government employees. Long time Clerk named "John" has an anger/temper problem and yells at customers even when he makes the mistakes because he ignores the customers and interrupts them. His supervisor tells the customer, "just go along with him" because they know he is apathetic and will cry to the union. He appears lazy and does not enter the correct information into the computer whether intentional with malice, or out of incompetence---thus causing big problems for long time business customers-DISGRACE! The other clerks happily correct his mistakes but anyone can tell (by observations of his interactions) that he is disliked by the people on both sides of the counter due to his poor conduct. I imagine they cannot wait until he retires. I hope he gets held accountable by his Postmaster's senior officer as the Postmaster appears to be ducking and avoiding customer telephone calls. Why does the post office get 1 star reviews. Because somebody drives 40 miles to get here by 7pm, arrives at 6:58, and they lock the door, giving me hand signals through the door. My stuff is prepay, just take it. Nope. Can't even open the door and say something like sorry, the computers are closed out or something, and just take them. Zero humanity. Zero. Anybody showing up a minute or two before closing clearly has a high need to get something shipped. And they recognize me. I'm always nice, and I've never left a negative review anywhere. Never. Ever since I moved here it is a constant nightmare with mail being lost, misdelivered, damaged. It is so frustrating because nothing is done to fix it. My husband retired from the postal service where he was treated like crap yet his customers loved him because he took pride in himself and his job. I wish I never moved here! I don't know what it will take for them to get their act together. Three times in the last month, we hurried to put mail in the box, so it would be picked up. Well, three times, we went out to check to see if we got any mail and new mail was on top of the mail we needed to be picked up. Just this Saturday, I was expecting a package that was an expensive piece of jewelry. Never got it. Yesterday afternoon, our new neighbor, who we don't even know, rode up to our mailbox on his quad and put something in our box. What if they just threw it away, something that was hundreds of dollars AND it was logged as delivered. Yes, it was delivered, but not to our home. Last year, we had a package that was delivered to a different neighbor. That day my husband was waiting by the door to run out and get the mail. The package wasn't delivered here. I had an investigation opened up by Liz Navarro, she saw immediately where it was delivered. Our delivery person was told to ask the home where it was delivered to ask about the package. We waited and watched. She pulled up past that house and just sat there. I kept getting the brush off from Ruiz who answered the phone, shockingly enough, because they never answer the phone at the Middletown, NY Post Office. The seller thought I was lying because it was reported as delivered. I have heard that management couldn't be bothered. A couple of months ago, (again) I got a email that something was delivered and it was not delivered. I spent two hours trying to get through on the phone. Someone would pick up the phone, just to drop it to be disconnected. I had to leave my disabled son home alone, while I had no choice to drive there myself, despite me just having had surgery and dealing with chemo. I'm telling you it never seems to end. Management good or bad sets the pace at a workplace. I was told by an employee they do not care, but they do care and take notice of reviews. I hope this rips their eyes open, man up and do your job. read more

This is the worst post office to deal with. I have made several (10+) complaints about our mail carrier leaving packages behind the garage door (and hence us running them over because we don't see them). They claim they leave them at the closest entry point. I thought that was always the front door where our old mail carrier left everything? Two times gift card envelopes have went "missing" and several Amazon packages have never made it to my door and have went "missing". Unfortunately, I don't trust any of the employees who work there and the post master is never available to talk to anytime you call. Mind you, you have to call 20+ times to get through to talk to an actual human being. Time to file a complaint at a level above them. read more

Our mail carrier, Bob, is horrible. He broke my mailbox by stuffing a box into it that clearly didn't fit. He had thrown boxes onto my porch from 10 feet away and everything broke. And he loves to drive on my lawn if there is a car parked on my circular driveway, even thought he has the ability to backup and drive out the way he came in. read more

I love this post office. AND I LOVE THEY ARE OPEN UNTIL 7 and 4 on SATURDAYS! They are nice and efficient. I dont agree that they are rude, as another review said. They may not be cheery during busy times, but, often, we are not so cheery either. I think even during the holidays and tax times, the wait is not too bad and they are good at what they do. read more

Horrible service! I just called about a package that is suppose to be delivered and I said I wanted to hold it at the post office and the guy said ,"we have thousands of packages, we can't hold it, how am I suppose to find it!" I guess he doesn't know how to take a name and address to find it rather quickly! Sounded like he didn't feel like doing it! On top of that, every time my package is delivered, I believe they use the handling instructions from the movie, Ace Ventura Pet detective, because in that movie, at the beginning, he delivers a package and throws it, kicks it, does a field goal with it, and my package has the same after effects. When I open it, it's all busted up!!! I would not doubt that they have cones and lines set up in the warehouse playing soccer with the packages before they put them in to be delivered!! The federal government can't figure out why the post office is going out of business!
