The inside space is small but they do have the normal post office stuff - shipping supplies (and you can buy tape if you forget yours like I did), specialty stamp designs, passport forms, and tables with pens so you can do the addresses right there. The only downside is that this post office does not have a separate parking lot so you have to park in one of the mini-mall lots next door or along the street.

Our local PO is where I should have been. USPS needs to train their temp staff better. Meanwhile this is a cute PO. No parking though. But lots of PO boxes. Because it's small, it has a limited number of shipping items you can buy (e.g. shipping boxes and envelopes) as well as a small selection of greeting cards. There are also only two cashier stations, which means, when there's a long line (esp during the holiday season), you'll be waiting a while. They're pretty efficient and fast with taking care of customers' business, but it could get backed up. Although I've used the self-service shipping center a couple times, I still prefer shipping things in person. That being said though, the self-shipping stand is very convenient. :)

This location is hidden inside the Brighton-Eggert Pharmacy and for a long time I didn't even know…read moreit was there. Shows how observant I am driving by.... That said, since I have discovered it, I don't go to any other post office location (at least not if I'm leaving from home) because this one is so convenient. Plus, it has better weekend hours than the Post Office on Bailey. You can get stamps, mail packages, and do all the things you normally would at the Post Office but without the lines that I've encountered at pretty much every other Post Office. I don't think I've ever had more than one person in front of me. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And if you need to get something from the Pharmacy while you're there, it's super convenient. Parking is easy, as is getting in and out of the lot. Yay for convenience and easy.

There also isn't a weight, but then it's not a gym. I have a post office right by my house (on Main St near Goodrich) but this one is quieter and more relaxing. It's smaller, too, but that's probably because very few people ever use it except the residents of Clarence Center. Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do post-review but this one's about done so it's time to figure that out.

I've had mixed and confusing dealings with the Department of Refuse…read more First let me say that I'm so grateful for the employees who work in the heat and the cold year round to keep our garbage totes emptied every week. But this isn't actually about them , it's about my garbage totes and the Refuse Control Department. I've had a couple of things happen to my totes. The lid broke some how during one of their pickups. It was hanging by one hinge and was very heavy and unwieldy to try to put back on. I called the Department to ask to have the tote replaced. I was informed that it didn't need replacement they could just put a new cover on. Great I was happy with that news and went on with life as normal expecting to hear from them. Or thinking that like the meter readers , they would come and get the lid and exchange it. When it didn't get repaired for another couple of weeks , I contacted them and asked for an update. I was told " well you have to leave it out for us to fix!" Having had no idea how they handled, these things I had taken the tote back into my yard. The lid was replaced and life went on as usual. This time the bar that the machine on the truck uses to pick up the can broke in half. The can had been broken for several..... weeks. At one point the can, in fact after being emptied, was laying on the ground half on the street. Having tried to pick one of those up after a wind storm, I was truly not overjoyed at the prospect of trying to wrestle this thing back up onto its feet again! Time to call the department again to see if they could please replace it. I explained what the problem was and answered all the questions and was told to leave it out and they would be by to pick it up and replace it. Ok well I didn't forget from last time that they expected me to LEAVE IT OUT!!! They didn't say how long it would take so I left it out indefinitely. After several days , and accumulating garbage in my house, I called back and explained the situation, and was told ..... "You're only supposed to leave it out for the day not the week!" Feeling like I simply can't win , I said I had left it out for the "day" and ( frankly too afraid to bring it back in in case I created a problem again)it had never gotten picked up. There was a pause on the other end of the phone and then I heard " I don't see anything about a broken tote to be picked up here." Back to square one. Today I waited to see the fate of my garbage tote. I heard the garbage truck come. I heard the recycle truck come. I finally looked out to check and see and I'm very happy to say that this time the broken tote was gone and a replacement was in its place!! To the gentleman who never left the instructions that my tote was broken I say " why" and ask how is a customer follow instructions if they aren't given any specific instructions. To the second gentleman who followed through at the Town of Amherst Department of Refuse, I say Thank You ! This lady really appreciates not trying to wrestle the tote off the ground when it falls over off the lift!
