It's perhaps unexpected for you out here that I am reviewing this but then again you have to see…read morethe whole picture before saying anything. Okay in ways it has some stuff like coffee, food, lottery, alcohol & even printing/shipping capacity & this is an asset if say (my case so) you have to make copies of your ID for tax purposes so you can mail out & they even got it plus they show you what they've done so you can tell them if okay or not but they will make sure it's right & properly done. My case was low cost & even if you have to pay a slight fee for a card nevertheless no complaints from me & they even sent a text with receipt in so you can mark on your statement. Now you know.

This place never ceases to fail me. Years ago, I went in looking for a text to speech GPS and went…read morein looking for some guidance and product explanation. Which Garmin or TomTom had that feature? Which offered other country/city maps as additional features--free or for a price? The gentleman who was 'helping' is still working there, but he was barely working, then. His customer service assistance? "Call TomTom and Garmin and ask them." So, I went to Target in Keene where all of my questions were asked and answered and Target made a $400 sale. Last autumn, I ran in to Staples, again. I don't know why I persisted in my idealism. I needed a teensy PC laptop for some work which performs only on Internet exploiter--imagine the horror--but I needed a small and portable machine. The same 'gentleman' offered to assist and--again--offered me no answers to any questions but for the fact that this machine did support ie. No offer for initial setup or information about quirks not even an offer of the dreaded 'insurance fee' wherein places like Staples and Best Buy charge you Estes up front to get repairs and assistance for which you will still ultimately be charged on the backend. They are the only 'game' in Brattleboro, but I should always opt to drive to Target in Keene. Unfortunately, I didn't. I popped in yesterday with two quick questions about my machine. The tech 'support' guy was amenable to my questions and said he'd be right back with s price quote. I was incensed! I told him I would not be paying for such a petty thing and I left. But I turned around and went back in to complain to a manager! His response? " Of course we charge. Would you expect the car dealer to give you free oil changes?" As if Staples offered anything akin to the worth and value of a vehicle. He nastily checked at least my keyboard functionality but was pretty condescending--and sloppy--throughout. I understand this is a chain and there are corporate policies in place. But I also understand Brattleboro is a smallish community and these morons make no adjustment for that. I also know that I've had cashiers at other Staples who couldn't--actually could NOT--make change without the computer/cash register doing the math for them. And I mean $20 minus $2... So, thanks Staples on Putney Road. Thanks for maintaining an employee and Sercixe standard way below the median! Here's to never giving you another red cent!

I did everything I was supposed to--came out, asked what to do, filled out a slip. I was as diligently as I possibly could've been. Then, I received a delivery notification for the package I was expecting a week ago. And the package was nowhere to be found. This was exactly why I went through the above process. I went to the post office to check out what happened tonight and was made to feel like it was my fault by the supervisor. He told me that I was somehow supposed to have known that if I have a housemate--I other words, someone else that gets mail at this address--they wouldn't hold my mail in spite of the fact that I'd put a hold in place. When I suggested that I should've been informed of this fact when filling out the form, he said that this would be a waste of resources to tell every single customer this incredibly basic information I could not have known otherwise. He also played up the fact that I'd come in a week after the fact. I came as soon as I found out this happened and was able to, the very next business day. Given that he works a 9-5 he should probably have a bit more empathy about the difficulty someone might have to get things done during the day. I just found out that due to their error, my new phone was not delivered. Try living without a phone these days. I can't just keep going out and buying new ones or calling the police as he suggested I do, especially given I don't have a phone... I've otherwise had good experiences here, but this was awful. Writing this review won't change a thing, but at least my experience is out there. Hopefully management will take note. This is just not an okay way to treat folks and it absolutely is your responsibility to inform us of things we couldn't possibly be aware of.
