Some of the other moving companies I contacted never returned my voicemail. We got my move scheduled a few weeks before it was to happen. This was very easy with me discussing the details with Pam as well as texting her photos of the rooms and larger items. There were some blips in the delivery of the Pod and I am so grateful that Pam was able to reschedule with such short notice. Our move was a bit more complex. Double D's had to meet us at a location in Camp Hill to pick up a truck full of furniture. This was brought to our Harrisburg home. And then this as well as everything in our house was loaded into a 16 foot pod. Part of the reason I picked double D's was because of their glowing reviews and their ability to load a POD very tight. They exceeded expectations and used every bit of the pod from floor to ceiling. (A 16 foot POD is for a house up to 1400 ft.². This of course doesn't include your basement, attic, and garage.) They did an amazing job! We had a few items that did not fit and we expected this because a 16" pod is not as big as you expect it to be. (No big deal because we will drive them at another date to our new location.) They then drove these items back to the Camp Hill address where we could store them. The price was very fair. I did some research and thought I had my bike picked out. After talking to Diane Sara and I think Chuck and trying different bike. I actually bought a different bike and it was used in great condition so it was a little cheaper and I was able to get some accessories. I love the bike and can't wait for my biking adventures to start again. Everyone was super friendly, and very knowledgeable. Now my husband wants one and we will definitely be going back. Along the trail in Marietta is a signpost for businesses in town including Lancaster Recumbent. My wife has always talked about recumbents so we visited the shop. We took a test ride and ended up getting a Catrike Villager for her and a Trial for me. Sarah was very helpful in every aspect of the purchase. Scott showed us how to load the trikes on the Alpaca rack we purchased. It was a great experience that you don't get much these days. Just a great family business. We got to test the trikes and the rack on a trip to our cabin in Potter county. We are near the Pine Creek Rail Trail and broke in our trikes there. What fun! And no pain! My wife has a knee replacement and the other one needs done too but riding the Catrikes is pure bliss.

A gentleman from Nolt Electric showed up to fix the front porch lights yesterday afternoon. I also had him fix one of the light fixtures in the in the meeting room that needed a new ballast and change a couple of lights that were out in the reading room. He was putting away the "good" light tubes and overheard two staff members talking about a leak in the mechanical room. The plumber had recently left for the day unable to complete the job since it required a special part. The bucket we were using to capture the drips was filling super-fast at that point. So, we were discussing the logistics of keeping it manageable while the Library was open and turning off the water when we closed. So about an hour later, around 6:30, the super electrician shows back up with a bucket/hose combo to move the water from the leak to the floor drain. The bucket was too tall....so he took it back to cut it down to size. Super Electrician to the rescue!! What a GUY!! I was so very impressed. It speaks volumes for the man and the company he works for - They exemplify "service above self"!
