TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE- the worker that is always here (lady with black hair) is not what should be representing this store TERRIBLE WORKER & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. definitely wouldn't want a person like that representing my company/store. I stood in line patiently waiting for my turn (about 45min) due to her slow working, then I asked for a receipt for my packages that I'm dropping off and she started to yell at me saying "No No, No receipt" I asked her why can't I get a receipt because that's what you guys offer as usps store and she continued to yell at me saying that she has all these people to help. mind you when I walked in there was someone at the desk and one person in front of me (3 people) Over the time of her working slow the line stacked up. I personally don't think the line has anything to do with me not getting a receipt for my packages, a service that usps offers. If she would have approached the situation kindly and said" hey I have a lot going on do you mind just setting them down and I will be sure to scan them in" I would say yes that is okay I understand. I love this USPS. The bad reviews are from people that DO NOT LIVE HERE. They work here and decide to use their breaks during work hours to mail things out. Which translates to; they're in a rush, we're not, the staff is not, so stop coming here on your breaks! It's simple. Bye! Use your own post office in your own zip code on your OWN time. Us locals have to deal with literally 80% people on their breaks being rude to staff for no reason other than their own fault. We live here, we love the staff. We have all the time in the world. Please, unless you live here do not write reviews. Your reviews are absolutely useless. Like I said, go mail your packages from your postal service in YOUR OWN zip code, not ours. Staff is wonderful. We have known her for 6 years now and it's sad the she has to deal with the most rudest people in a rush that are on their breaks. It's so frustrating to see this. Really bad attitude from the clerk helping me out. A simple request turned into her tossing my box around to make noise and prove her "assertiveness" over me. I get having a bad day, but the reviews here tell me that she needs to work on her customer service / overall character. This post office is convenient, but I'll be going to a different one moving forward. This is a tiny post office (known as the Bunker Hill post office) that just relocated to a new suite (A6) inside the Yard at Cal Plaza. There is only one clerk here but she is quite efficient. Most of the patrons here either work or live in DTLA. Parking near this area is costly so your best option is to walk to this location if you are nearby or visiting another post office that offers free parking. TIP: If you have a priority mail package to send keep in mind that the clerk keeps the priority mail packaging behind her counter to prevent abuse. Enjoy your visit! read more

After reading all the comments against the Chinese woman who works at this store, no wonder we were able to shut down the store lol. We walked into this office asking help to locate a missing envelop. The Chinese woman (about golden-ager) talked in such a rude and condescending tone from first few words she spoke to us. She was very hostile even what we asked was so simple. She yelled at us and refused to provide any help. Literally no help at all but raised her voice. She does not wear her name tag at work and refused to provide her name, which I don't know if it's allowed by usps employee rules. But we found out her name in another way, I don't wanna expose her name here but I think it's pretty obvious already according to all the complaints against her on yelp. She called security (security guards were really nice and reasonable) to kick us out and even shut off the store when the office just opened for 15min, I also doubt whether clerk can close the door when they have any unreasonable reason. I don't know what happened to her, it's hard to imagine that someone could lose it like that. To the woman, if you really hate your job so much, give it to someone who deserves it. If you don't wanna be humiliated by the woman works there, find somewhere else. I'm sure other usps stores clerk are nicer. All the evidence makes me think this woman needs to find excuses to yelling at people and let her own strange anger out at work. What a shame! I hope this woman can find some other job but not a customer facing one and doesn't need to be hostile. She can learn what is human courtesy, profession and patience. The store can hire better. Don't go there if you don't wanna walk out unhappy. I already reported my loss to the police just in case of any fraud. Because who knows what happened there caused the missing. Also again, to the lady, disrespecting others and being emotionally out of control, makes you look really BAD. This office is located at a very convenient spot and the pay is great considering the short working hours, according to transparent online reporting. Why not hire someone who qualifies? I have never been treated with more disrespect and contempt from a USPS employee than I have at this post office today. The clerk (clerk 7, UFN 840-59000078-3-5931151-2) was condescending when I asked for help overnighting a document. She was extremely hostile when I confirmed if I was using the right envelope and repeated herself "the blue and white envelope" as if the entire selection of envelopes were not also blue and white / red, white and blue. She proceeded to piecemeal her instructions, asking me to find a label, again there were various labels. It seemed like she needed an excuse to yell at someone. I just had a death in the family the day before and this really put me over the edge and caused me to tear up in the post office because of this employees' unprovoked anger. There was no line of customers causing this employee to treat me as if I was holding up the check out process. This was the most efficient and pleasant post office in the area but after today I am so disappointed that USPS chose to hire and retain this person. This occurred at 1:45-1:50 PM PST on Thursday November 30th, 2023. I hope this woman can find peace or leave this position if she cannot handle a customer facing job. read more

I used to come here all the time becssue it's down the street from my home but the Chinese lady who works there locks the door for hours so she can watch her Chinese drama . Bad service, rude associates, and takes at least 20mins to get to the front of the line. Even during the busiest times, (lunch time) there's only one attendant. Sometimes, the credit card machine is broken and you have to pay cash. The only thing good about this place is the location. Worst USPS location I've ever been to in California. read more

I have been here at different times of the day and there is always a line of at least 5 people and only one employee working the counter who couldn't look more miserable to help you. There may be two or more employees physically present in the post office but the others have a magical gift of ignoring the line of people and shuffling around letters/packages. I appreciate how my packages never get lost in this location and it's always efficient in scanning the packages in and getting in going to its destination. I just sent a package to Guam and another to Chicago. This is maybe the most enjoyable post office experience I have ever had. The ladies in there today were super helpful about what form I needed for the package to Guam, AND (more important to me, personally) they were hilarious. This is the closest post office to my work. Last time I came at 9 am because google told me it was open...they don't open till 11. When I got there today, there was a huge line and only one register open. If you needed assistance you'd have to wait in line just to be helped! This location boasts a few good qualities. You'll find that outside of the lunch hour (aka recess for adults?), the location has short lines and decent service. I wouldn't mark that the service is fast, because let's be honest [apply government joke here]. I've never waited more than five minutes to mail a package, and the postal workers tend to be informative with every customer. The bottom line: This is a US post office. It does the job. The other day, I was on a mission to grab something to eat when I realized I had a more pressing mater. I had to buy stamps to mail off some bills. Oh good, here's a post office. It was unlike any I've ever been to before. First of all, it looked like an office, not a post office. There were three stations and they looked like office cubicles. How...office-y. There were two workers and another at the "store" section. As soon as the line got long, two workers immediately went on break. I think this is written in the postal code somewhere. Yet, no one went postal. The one remaining worker kept slugging away, patiently explaining arcane postal rules and calling out for the next in line without any trace of resentment. She was doing her job! I got to applaud her for that! I asked for forty first class postage stamps, my usual purchase. She then stunned me. She asked me what design I wanted. Like, woah. Usually I don't bother asking about the designs but I still like cool stamps. So I asked for the Flags of Our Nation. Hm, well, they come in a roll of 50 and I only wanted 40. I know, I know, what's another 10 stamps? Almost $5! And I didn't want to go over $20. I ended up with Simpsons stamps (and yes, I was happy about them even though I bought those last time). There's a security guard in this small post office and it's very clean. Because it's not in some basement, it seemed to be filled with light. I may have to make this my new post office even if it's a bit of a trek. read more

first time here there was a tall black guy working the counter, and he was super friendly and efficient. I was in and out in two minutes. (during lunchtime too!) today, not so great. the older lady working the counter is giving everyone lip about how they filled out their forms. (I'm currently 9th in line.) this is awful. I've been here 3 times.. twice in the morning and once around lunch to send off packages. I've had a wonderful experience every time. If there's a line, you may have to wait a bit as there have only been 1 or 2 people working there whenever I've gone. The longest I've ever had to wait was about 10 minutes. The employees I've encountered are super friendly. They have always been very courteous and offered me alternative shipment types to save money. This is definitely a good post office to walk to if you are working or living in the area. I think you'll need to find metered street parking nearby if you're driving, so that's the only downside. read more

+ Convenient location - Shelves are always empty - Never more than 1 person at counter even during peak times I'm glad there's a USPS office close to my work, but after a few visits here I'm not very impressed. Even during the peak hours (lunchtime in the finance district of Downtown LA) where everyone is trying to get some small errands done, there will always be only 1 person at the counter helping. Even if there are only 2 people in line, expect to wait 10 minutes. A bit silly to be honest. There is a lot of wasted space here as all the walls/shelves are basically empty. There are some PO boxes on the side, but they could probably get rid of half the public area. It makes the office look run down/closing up shop. They also don't seem to like printing out address labels for you. They make you write it yourself. Every USPS I've been to does it for you at the counter. read more

Came on a Tuesday, around 2:30. I was actually lucky as the stereotypical post office cue began to form AFTER I had safely secured a spot at its front. The woman assisting me was helpful and efficient. I hadn't mailed a postcard since childhood, and she was helpful in explaining that the one I was intending to send to my Aunt would require a $.44 (not $.28) fee. Since it was all for love, I purchased a book of stamps and was on my way. Leaving behind a mass of customers grumbling about government inefficiency. I will say, however, that the employes must be on their game (*gasp*) as this line moved extremely quickly. While passing by this post office mere minutes after my purchase, the que, which had snaked from the counter to the front doors, had disappeared. One of the most surreal post office experiences. I just needed to mail a bulky letter: 5 minutes tops, right? Insert maniacal laughter here: the automated postage machine is gone. Womp-wah. One down for efficiency. Enter long line. One attendant. And then the crazy began. 'Cause about a third of the way through the line, the attendant left her post and locked the door to the post office. "I haven't had lunch yet." She explained to all of us that she had no backup, was in the place alone, and had been there since the morning. She would serve us, and then we were to leave out the back door. Except that every time someone left folks from outside would sneak in. Until the attendant saw and had an epic showdown with a few of them. I've been coming to this post office for about six months now and have yet to have an unpleasant experience. I've also been here about six times in the past two weeks to ship my aunt's Christmas present and cd's that I'm selling on Amazon so the boy doesn't have to move them into his new apartment this weekend. Even though it's lunchtime and Christmas is just a week and half away, the line is never more than six people deep and it moves quickly. They usually have two windows open (three the past few weeks). They also have a self-service desk, a postal store, and passport services. And the clerks have always been in good spirits. It's a Christmas miracle! read more

This post office opens from 11am-4pm but they close their door for lunch between 1:45-3:30pm and customers are standing by the door in line waiting for them to open. This happened on last Friday too. I truly believe there are lot of people looking for jobs while some are too lazy to work and makes up their own hours. read more
