I go to this post office all the time to drop things off and it is, what it is. I've never had issues really...once the drop off box was full, once it was stuck, but my main dread in coming here is the parking. Yep, even the post office has parking problems in KTown! It's a small lot but just gets so darn crowded with cars spilling out, confusion, slowness, etc. I've gone through the lines and never had any staff issues. Overall pretty standard USPS location. Though this is my least favorite post office because of parking, it's so convenient for me so I'll surely be there.

Updated review: Been coming for a while to mail stuff, paying for signature mailing (which is what I'm doing now), and shipping e-commerce orders(eBay,Shopify, etc), and paying for money orders. Word of advice..... avoid this place after 3:30pm because the lines get really line with only 1-2 customer service attendants.

Looked up post office with parking lot in this neighborhood and guess I totally lucked out when I came in mid afternoon on a hump day! Only 3 people in line and moved pretty fast with 2 open counters. Then a 3rd counter opened. It took me just ~15 mins in and out, including time to fill out an express form and all. Pro tip: 3:15pm is cutoff time for 1-day express mail.

(Dropped Off & Mailed 05/25/22 WE @ 12:30pm): If anything, this particular location is called the "Nat King Cole Station" which is very cool https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=9Ku6zK6Sia44uGS-sSWRRA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw! I found myself at the Koreatown location of the United States Postal Service "Nat King Cole Station" primarily to drop-off a ton of mail left by a former tenant who simply abandoned a nearby apartment he was renting from my family, and decided to mail some things, too. Because I had to drop-off the mail at the station that specifically delivered it, this was the only reason for me to ever visit this location especially since I had the two I frequented. How did this post office compare to the others I visited? PURCHASE First-Class Certified Mail ($4.33 x 4): I was canceling some service contracts and needed to formally send a mailed 30-day written notice instead of a simple email or phone call to their respective branch office. So, I decided to send them certified ($3.75 fee per letter) for the trackability and delivery confirmation. This was always a wise service to use whenever you mailed something of importance. SERVICE I arrived during lunch time, so there was only one female clerk, but soon a male staff member stepped up to one of the many counter windows https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=jOPCRWaadkf4AjKATa4qvQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Ultimately, I still waited in line for over 20 minutes, and I ended-up at this tall gentleman's counter who seemed a bit tired, uninspired, and annoyed in his demeanor. I was just doing straightforward transactions, so I figured just get me in and get me out. C'est la vie - it was what it was. PARKING (FREE) They had a medium private lot that contained maybe upwards of 20 regular spots and 1 for the disabled https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=BzbdpaCPzasALHINsnV8Kg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. When I initially drove by, there was a long line that went out into the street. So, I drove around the block and parked on Manhattan Pl. which ran along the parking lot. Otherwise, there was plenty of free, metered, and timed parking either along the main drag of Western Ave. and all surrounding streets. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Dreary... that was my first thought when I entered. This was a larger post office compared to the two I normally did business at. Outside, they had a couple drive-up mailboxes both at front and in the parking lot. Inside, the outer lobby area housed two standard-size mail slots, one for huge packages, a machine to make any quick postage purchases, a ton of P.O. Boxes, and one long workstation table. The inner lobby area had a short work table, various supplies and items for sale, and a switchback line that eventually led you to the customer service counter which had a ton of counter windows https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=CKu_RBDa7J9n3mgDdgL7sg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Decent natural lighting came in through the large back and front glass windows and doors while soul-sucking fluorescent electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I didn't notice any TVs while low music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL The Koreatown Nat King Cole Station location of the United States Postal Service fitted my current needs fine. They offered all the necessary postal services. As for the parking situation, for the amount of parking spots, I felt this delay wasn't the norm (I hoped not anyway). Honestly, what else could be said!? The atmosphere and service had little to be desired, and unless I needed to handle a similar task, this location wasn't convenient enough for me. I found good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $17.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 3.0 STARS

Parking lot to small for such a large post office. Street parking available if you can find any. If you placed your mail on hold while you are on vacation, you need to go to the door with a doorbell before 5 PM or else you can't get your mail. I asked one of the guys at the counter, and he couldn't/wouldn't get it for me so I had to come back the following day. He and the other worker weren't busy, but I guess it's not their responsibility to help a customer out.

One worker at 1pm on Tuesday afternoon Poooooooor lady. Where is our tax dollars.

Postal Services in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California…read more.. After writing some postcards, I wanted to mail them right away. This Hollywood Post Office was near to the Hollywood Library. It had metered street parking and a very short line of customers inside. I actually dropped my cards into a slot and stood in line for more stamps. A clerk called out, "Anyone want stamps only?" I raised my hand and moved forward! It was a quick transaction. The only improvement would be for the supervisor to not distract the clerk while a transaction is happening! Ha!

They don't have items out such as tape so it's inconvenient to get it and go along with your day. Staff members will watch you and ignore you income from hospitality dealing with high volume customers so I wouldn't treat people this same way. Despite their rudeness in the past I've let it go. Today I came in and went to the self-service option and made a mistake and put put my package in the "box" before putting the label the older gentleman said to me rude get over there in line. Who talks like that to another person absolutely disgusting, I expect the rudeness out of one of the ladies but was shocked by him. Definitely call ooh the customer service number. The low reviews here are for a reason customer service is non existent! I'm currently in line it's taken over 15 minutes when it could've taken less than 2 minutes.

So, this will be a review in (hopeful) progress... *fingers crossed*…read more I ordered 5 pairs of shoes from a vendor in China. The vendor seperated the shoes into two separate e-packages (two pairs in one, three pairs in the other). - Both packages left China on November 7th. - Both packages made it to the US on November 9th. - Both packages were "Processed Through Facility ISC Los Angeles" the same day, two minutes apart from each other (9:14am & 9:16am). - I received one of the packages to my home here in Saint Louis, MO yesterday, November 13th. (LY933850883CN) - The other one, however, is still stuck in the standard "Processed through ISC" state. Ironically, the one that was received and processed two minutes later (9:16am) is the one I received. What could be the reason for the delay on the package that was received the same day mere minutes apart?! Perhaps that one looked a little more "interesting" to the person debating whether or not to steal it? I certainly hope not. "Expected Delivery" for the remaining package is this Friday, November 16th. *holding breath* I'll keep updating but based on SO MANY of the other reviews this could take some time... Update (11/17/18): Interesting, the second package has now made its way to the Omaha, NE Distribution Center. Why it went there, who knows... especially considering the first package never passed through Omaha. Meh, I'm just glad there's movement of any kind based on seeing others packages being stuck in the LAX ISC black hole. No eta on delivery tho...

My package from Japan (now worth $6k) was lost/stolen here…read more When the tracking stopped updating for days, I looked into this facility and immediately found out it's infamous for being a black hole. I was worried, but the sender couldn't do anything until the "required waiting period" passed. Japan Post tried to investigate but couldn't get anywhere because USPS was unresponsive and provided zero useful information. Three months later, USPS finally admitted the package was lost. Japan Post couldn't even refund the full amount because USPS has so many lost-package cases lately that they found the situation suspicious. This item is extremely important to me, and I can't buy another one due to how expensive it has become. Meanwhile, another package of mine went through SF ISC and cleared customs instantly with no issues. So yes, the problem is this facility. I filed a police report with LAPD but they said lost package was not their responsibility. If you're buying expensive items from outside the US, ship with DHL if possible. Don't risk it with USPS.

The differentiators are usually if they have good parking options (the answer here is YES, a lot that you can usually snag a spot in but just make sure to exit at the stoplight instead of getting caught in the Grove's traffic's crosshairs) and the humans working there. Goooooooodness this post office disappoints on the staff. I see staff not respond to customers' as they ask questions while they chat to each other between the windows. I experience the same half the time, just no response. My friend went in to bring mail from a past resident & they just grabbed it and cut him off not letting him finish a sentence. The line gets sooooo long sometimes and I'm sure the crabby staff doesn't leave anyone feeling good about their experience here. The Post Office is open 930am-5pm every day but Sunday if you need teller assistance, but the lobby opens at 6am each day! And the good news is the self service kiosk and a drop box for packages both reside in that lobby. That's all I need 99% of the time I pop into the post office so lucky me. One day when I went the Drop Off Box was closed though so it can't always be counted on! The next day it was back open though so all was well in my world. I was so happy they fixed it so quickly. For dropping things off, this post office works well for me. However, It's weirdly the most unfriendly post office and that's such a shame if you need to interact with the staff.

Despite this being a simple process of scanning QR codes to print labels, she said she was too busy, told me not to come next time and to use the self-service kiosk instead, and stated that she could no longer help in this way. Her overall tone was irritated and unprofessional. She also incorrectly identified which receipt belonged to which package, causing confusion.
