While I admittedly do not frequent this postal office, I would say that it is adequately run. That said these are government employees who are 'protected' by a powerful union organization. Barring extreme or illegal behavior, they are nowhere near being in fear of losing their jobs for doing anything but the absolute required to maintain employment. In my experience, the employees at this branch are courteous and helpful. It is true that there is often idle chatter going on while customers wait in line, which can be frustrating. Also, I've personally heard inappropriate conversation and razzing among employees within customer hearing. This seemed to be tolerated by even the person who appeared to be a superior. As a professional, I do consider this totally unacceptable. My transactions are, for the most part, simple and straight forward. Thus, I have not had 'problems' with these folks. I do believe that if one goes in prepared things go fairly smoothly. Supplies are [mostly] available for access and purchase and informational notifications are clearly posted and legible. I do not use the post boxes however the lobby has appeared clean and uncluttered during my visits. Thank you

When we receive small packages she will shove them in our mailbox (even when they say fragile or pictures- do not bend). And this time I put our mail on hold and it wasn't put on hold. I thought this Postal Office was something else and he informed me that it was always a post office. Built in 1932. Pretty cool. She has walked away from her window twice on me. She lacks the basic knowledge, skills and courtesy to be in a skilled federal position. I've asked her simple, basic questions pertaining to the post office such as hours of operation which she didn't know, she didn't even know what the new cost of a Forever 1st Class stamp was after the last price hike. She's often spouting random prices for shipping items off the top of her head without bothering to check, the gets very rude and unprofessional when a customer doesn't agree with her. I would stop going to this Post Office all together because of her but unfortunately this is the only 1 in town. I tried calling to verify that the notary was onsite during the advertised hours, but the phone was disconnected. I happened to be driving by the store later that day and noticed that they were opened so I stopped in to inquire see if the notary was in and the clerk stated that he was also waiting for them to show up. Not a great way to run a business in these times. The place was kind of run down and there were loud music videos playing on a television, but they are open. I didn't go there for anything other than notary services, so I'm not sure on their pricing. Two-Stars because the clerk was very friendly and apologetic.
