I was totally shocked to read the negative reviews on the USPS office. I go there several times a week. I have only received excellent service as well as observed excellent service to others. I have found the employees to be courteous, efficient and very personable. While every company can get some constructive criticism, I find it sad that more people don't post their positive experiences. But, like usual, bad news travels faster than good news. read more

I've lived in 5 states, and Grants Pass has the absolute worst USPS by a wide margin. Apparently, opening media mail that contains DVDs/Blu Rays and then extorting you to pay $17 to take possession is the norm here. This is some kind of a racket, as DVDs/Blu Rays are allowed media mail everywhere else! Unscrupulous, shady practices in this town. read more

First off a 1 star means your service is crap and your people are rude I was going to go to this office t complain about Cave Junction and O'Brien post offices but judging by other comments on this page none of the Southern Oregon Post Offices work correctly. if I could leave a ZERO I would! WORST post office for delivery service EVER! We either don't get our mail or we get someone else's and it can take them days to pick up mail even with the flag up! If you don't get yours they tell YOU to go look for it! I'm a disabled single woman and you want ME to go do YOUR job? My Mail carrier needs training. Tracking says package delivered. We have searched the property and cannot find it. I have a very stressed teenager who wants her stuff. The mail carrier is known for throwing packages out in our driveway rain or shine. Yes, I have dogs. They are contained in the house. Never out loose. Also, why cram my mail to the back of my mailbox? I have to park the car and get out to retrieve my mail that I could easily drive up to. Frustrated. read more

I've had an online business for a long time. I've shipped exclusively through USPS for many years. I used to work for the post office. I know what I'm doing. I came here to send a couple package that I've sent literally hundreds of times before. I had the postage pre-payed and was planning to drop them in the lobby drop box. I was at the counter getting some stamps. This a-hole counter person snatched the packages out of my hand and said that the postage was incorrect. I didn't ask for his assistance or opinion. He yelled at me for trying to scam the post office and demanded I pay the difference immediately. I should have asked for a manager but I was so taken aback by his aggressive behavior that I just paid it. It was like 50 cents total. I double checked when I got home. He was wrong. He charged me the package price for envelopes. At least if you're going to be a complete a-hole and yell at people, know what the hell you're talking about. Sometimes the doors are locked at night, sometimes they're not. The inconsistency is quite annoying. What's the point of having and APC machine if you can't access it? Dumb. I drive to Rogue River to avoid this location. read more

This is by far the worse for customer service. Our mail is going to others (not just one neighbor and not just to people within a mile radius) and we get others. We do not received packages, he refuses to come down our short driveway. We contacted the Post Master, he came to our house because he was told that they could not turn around in our driveway (even though my husband turns a semi around there) and stated that packaged WOULD be delivered. It is still hit and miss on IF we will get our packages. When we do he literally THROWS them from his car, sometimes landing behind our cars. This is the most ridiculous service, unbelievable and unacceptable. read more

As a new resident of Grants Pass, I'm echoing the sentiments of the other posters. I previously lived in a crowded urban area with all kinds of social problems, yet our post office received 3.5 stars. It's hard to believe that in the small town of Grants Pass, USPS is so badly represented. I think this must be the town where disgruntled postal workers go to die if they're not fired first. Lines out the door, surly employees, days without a mail delivery with no explanation. Meanwhile Fedex and UPS are making their rounds with no problems. It seems to be a systemic problem from the top down. Who do you complain to? Another faceless government entity that will give you a form letter in return? read more

So ticked off. I put a large sign in front of my garage at the top of the driveway which reads Deliveries (with a large arrow pointing the direction to the front of the house) Do not leave packages around the garage or behind the car parked in the garage, leave package on the front screen porch. Came home to find 2 packages on the wet gravel ground in front of the sign. Tomorrow I plan to be very loud in the post office. read more

This USPS will receive your package and hold onto it for a few days I stead of delivering it the day after. I seriously doubt this is a problem with being backed up with mail. Many times I've used Amazon and tracked my package. Everything goes swiftly until it reaches grants pass then they fail to deliver even one or two days after receiving the package. Extremely dissapointing at the least. Shameful representation of our tax dollars. read more

I wished I could make excuses for such poor service from The Grants Pass PO Box section, but I can't. All of this complaint is dealing with Local Residents and LOCAL DELIVERY. I mailed Halloween Cards on Oct 21st Cancellation date for My Grandchildren to go 4 miles to a PO Box. I know for a FACT it isn't that hard to read the Name and PO Box Number. The Names are ON the Box and have been for YEARS. Well on 10/31/19 I got My Grandson's back. 2 Days LATER I got My Granddaughter's back. BOTH labeled as UNABLE TO FORWARD. THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT THE MAIN POST OFFICE AND GO TO CFS OUT OF TOWN. Poor Training? Poor Management? Lack of Caring in doing a good job? There are no excuses. read more

Used the Old Town Mail House across the street for shipping my package. Then they drop it off at this USPS post office. Jeff at Old Town Mail House claims that the post office often holds packages for days in their back room before they get shipped out, even if you have paid for 3-5 day mail. It is hard to trust a company like USPS that would take money for shipping and just hold onto it. I still have not received my package sent Jan 30th. I really thought it was the Old Town Mail House that was to blame but they insist it is this post office lack of professionalism. I just want my package and I have no recourse. read more

I've dealt with a lot of post offices in my day, but I've never encountered one that has staff is as consistently surly and ill-tempered as this one. The surliness is consistent from the bottom, the guy who was just hired two days ago, all the way to the top. It appears to be an upper-management issue that allows this to continue. It appears that we are not the only ones with problems of mail delivery. We have a secured post box and we get the neighbors mail quite often. We walk it to their door because it may be important. It's the right thing to do. My husband recieved his Social Security statement only because the neighbors brought it over. Nice and thank you, however, I did not receive mine because I suspect that it was delivered to the wrong box and it probably got tossed. That's against the the law, NO??? Anyway, it used be somewhat difficult to get a job with the PO because you had to have some smarts and could read. I want MY mail. It is no one elses business.
