The woman who assisted me at the counter was nice. She asked all the right questions to get my shipment going. However, she asked what I was shipping - I told her they were breakable, perishable objects, so she volunteered to put "fragile" stickers all over my package. The long & the short of it is that she didn't put the stickers on my package (I was shipping something to myself). The package arrived somewhat disheveled & one of the liquid jarred items broke in transit. I can't be sure if the fragile stickers would have prevented it, but it definitely sucks. $27 to ship a 5.5lb package UPS ground that took 5 days to arrive? Outrageous! She gave me a 10% off discount as a first time customer, bringing it to $24. Still, had I known all of this, I obviously would have made it a point to ship it USPS flat rate Priority for under $20 & it would have arrived within 3 days. Since this is the only shipping place open on a Saturday, it simply is what it is. read more

We have used Speedy Pack For a while. We absolutely love everybody there. We've never ran into anything bad. It's a one stop shop where you can even get your passport picture your passport information and send it at the same time. Save us a lot of time instead of going all around grants Pass to do everything individually a lot better! This is the worst shipping place I've been too.... I've been to 25 states in the past 6 months and the customer service here was the worst out of any place I've been... The older woman behind the counter wasn't friendly or patient... She was honestly very rude. When something went wrong she rolled her eyes and tapped her fingers on the counter impatiently. At the end of it all she tried charging me $11 for the smallest priority mail package from USPS that is actually only $6.95 at the US post office. I didn't even want to ship it at this place anymore. So I tell her I'm justing going to pay for the bubble wrap packaging for $1.09 BUT she ends up charging me an extra $2 for her to just put tape on the package... at the end of the day $3 is nothing but the common courtesy and customer service wasn't there at all... As far as mailing box services go it doesn't get better, and I've dealt with numerous ones over my business career. They are always friendly and helpful. Most of the staff will know you by name or sight very quickly despite the hundreds of customers they must have. The deal with the occasional odd-ball package situation with aplomb (for instance they didn't blink at handling a nine-foot long tool I had shipped to my box). They have an efficient system for dealing with box overflow. Highly recommended. read more

We have had a mailbox at Speedy for about a year now and in the past they have mostly been easy to deal with. But today, they were very rude! I went to pick up my husband's running shoes he ordered for a race. They had shipped them off to some lady, so he couldn't race. And to add insult to injury, they charged us $18 for storage! Yesterday on the phone, they told me they will only hold packages for 4 days without a charge. At the same time, they sent my husband an email stating: for your digital mailbox you have 30 days of free storage for all items except for large packages. Today I went to pick up the shoes and asked if they charge a fee if a package is thete more than 4 days. They said yes, so I showed them the email they sent and the manager told me "they didn't have to deal with me at all. My name was not on the box when it was opened ". That is so much crap and so rude. I wad told I hung up on them when I called yesterday. If saying I'm done, goodbye is hanging up, then I'm guilty! We will be changing services so we will be treated with kindness. read more

I have used Speedys twice now and both times have been an amazing experience. They helped me understand all of my shipping options, explained the price differences and benefits, and helped package my gifts amazingly. One employee(Jay) took the extra time to fit my gifts in a smaller package to reduce the price, without me even asking. This was not the easiest task, either. They care about their customers, and aren't just trying to get people in and out quickly. Although, they are also very efficient and I've never had to wait more than a couple minutes to be helped. I've been here several times due to it being conveniently located, however their customer service is lacking. On two separate occasions, I've been told USPS wouldn't accept my packaging, pretty sure both times all my packages were delivered without issue. I'm guessing they just want you to use their packing services. Other occasions they've tried to up-sale delivery options that I don't need, and then tell me don't be surprised if your packages don't arrive. Again, they all did without issue. Recently, I stopped in just to buy stamps, they up-charge their stamps and postage. I was told they have to pick-up the stamps, gas, etcetera. I'm sorry, you provide a service, make money on your packing services and box rentals, you don't need to up-charge your stamps. Walgreens doesn't up-charge their stamps. Needless to say, think I need to find an alternative option for my shipping needs, perhaps one that values their customers and doesn't treat me like I'm an idiot. read more

This business did a great job, start to finish, shipping a clock to Texas. On a recent trip to Oregon my wife and I found an antique clock in Grants Pass that we ended up purchasing. Being to big to take home to Texas on the airplane. After returning home to Texas I starting searching for shipping options. The owner worked with me over the phone to handle the transaction at a reasonable price and clock arrived ahead of schedule in great condition. This was a great experience!
