Terrible rude service... Again stated home since a package was "on truck out for delivery" according to tracking and in person check my husband did at po by postmaster. Mailman came at 5.40 no package.....he said it may be on rural delivery truck. At 6:00 rural delivery truck drove past my house..and mailbox block that I can see, made a U turn and sped out of neighborhood. I ran after truck, screaming ..his door wide open and almost got him at stop sign but he ignored me. NO WAY he didn't hear me! Moments later tracking said "attempted delivery no one home" Come on!!!!!! How can this place operate like this???? They DO actually miss mail delivery days....meaning they will not deliver to certain areas on any given day, PROVEN by Facebook inquired to others in Fort bragg about receiving mail. ALSO KNOWN for not delivering packages but leaving notes in our mailboxes stating they tried to deliver but no one home!!!! Never leaving truck to try. Myself and neighbors have actually run after truck screaming. read more

I was trying to redirect a package to my son that was sent to his Dads shop because his Dad wasn't there. Even though it's addressed to my son I was told by Stephanie that my son couldn't pick it up, that those were the rules. Unbelievable that he can't pick up a package with his name on it!!! But this package ended up getting delivered to a business next door, completely unrelated to who it was addressed to and business on package. read more

If I could get deliveries to my house, I'd drop the post office like a rock. I had brain surgery two weeks ago. When I ordered a few things online, I accidentally put the wrong box number. I have been getting mixed up like that since my surgery. I contacted the post office and explained the situation. They called me back and the woman I spoke with was VERY sweet and helpful, and said it would be re-directed to the correct mailbox. Today (Feb 18th) I came to pick up my package that was delivered on the 13th. The woman at the counter was rude and snapping at me because the tracking was FedEx, repeatedly said "it's not our fault" while I was trying to explain. She finally found it and said it was about to be sent back because it was addressed wrong, and told me again that it was my fault. Yes, I get it. I made a mistake. But I had reached out, and I was TOLD that it would be redirected to my box. I would not be upset at all if not for her attitude. She was sooo extremely rude about the entire situation. read more

If you go in there with a stanky my attitude you will always have a stanky review and time. Try just a smile through your mask and things will just be calm. Yes we wait but it's a small town and they work so hard. Think about how many packages they deal with on a daily. The fact that they try is worth a great review. People who are stanky attitude will always complain. I love it and if you don't go to Santa Rosa for a little humble pie. In looking for the local #, I saw our post office has terrible stars so I had to come add a good review! I will say that in the past, we had some rough post office experiences and dealt with poor service, but it's been a while now of great service, pleasant helpful hardworking employees...it's been pleasant to go in and get packages from the counter which has been pretty regular for us. They are exceptionally friendly many times, even when it's busy, and otherwise they're adequately friendly. I can't think of a bad experience. I just called their local number about a package I had sent to the wrong address that then disappeared and Rachel was VERY pleasant and kind. Hopefully it turns up, but regardless the service of the reps at this location are great in my experience! read more

Terrible home service. This office is deeply dysfunctional and has no idea how to serve the public. They use the USPS rule book as an excuse to do as little actual work as possible. They repeatedly refuse to pickup or drop off mail if a car is anywhere in the region of a postal box. Ten feet is "too close" in their reading of the rules. This is a rural community and many people depend on the USPS like my 93 year old mother who gets her medications by mail. I have attempted to communicate with this office but they are a very self protective group. This is the only USPS office I have ever had problems with, San Francisco, Oakland, Palm Springs, Tucson, Redlands, and the nearby Mendocino have all been wonderful. Hi, Ive been trying to get access to my PO box and I can't because i work Monday-Saturday 8-5. It's Sunday and you're entire building is closed and I can't get my mail. Because of your hours, I never have access to my mail and can only receive it if I schedule a day off of work. This is ridiculous. I've been able to access my PO box at every other post office where I've lived. Just because we have a homeless problem in our town doesn't mean you can keep YOUR CUSTOMERS from receiving their mail in the middle of the day. read more

We have a second home outside of Ft. Bragg but we tend to avoid the local post office. Staff not the least bit friendly and rarely helpful except for the most routine questions. I am sure that there are staff shortages but if so, it is made worse by the slowness of the staff no matter how long the lines. We thought a new postmaster might help but we have never seen her anywhere in the FB post office or any positive changes. We often go to another post office just to experience good service. read more

I never make it in because I tend to be at WORK during your hours of operation and I asked very nicely if I could please just get one box with my yellow slip. I wasn't sending anything, I wasn't asking any stupid questions, I just wanted to get something. The post office is always doing floors on Saturdays and not able to get packages most workers are awesome some are not, today is Columbus Day now I have to wait four days total to get my packages why couldn't they put them in the big boxes out front I asked if they were going to open today and the woman was very rude they will not give me another way of getting my packages what if I had medicine coming in through the mail and I died because of them not delivering the packages very bad place need to figure out another mail system that actually get your packages to you not even going to rate it one star read more

This place is extremely dysfunctional here in fort bragg my girlfriend got a job here and spent about 2 weeks going outta town for training only to get fired and or forced to resign 8 work days later! she wont tell me the full story but they were extremely mean to her and made fun of her for working slowly when she has only been there a few days and she could tell it wasn't going to work since day one! Like seriously who runs this place? These people here do this to every new employee or did they have it out for my gf? The USPS sent us a letter saying we had to redo our mailbox, this was right after the mail lady ran into our WiFi, knock it out and almost ripped it out for the 5th time! I when out and asked her if she could not turn around where she was because of that reason and showed her where our turn out spot was. She said "well I'll take a look and see if I can turn around there!" She said she could not,(keep in mind I have UPS and FED-EX make deliveries all the time) I asked her "what should I do to get my mail?" She told me "we will put a hold on it and you can pick it up from the Post Office." Not only did she not hold our mail at the post office, she was sending it BACK TO SENDER! I had to contact all the places I get my bills and let them know what happened, pay over the phone. Not only that my family and I were expecting packages so I had to contact them and let them know to resend them, some I had to pay a restock fee! I always get my neighbor's mail, and vice versa, thank goodness we all know one another so we just drop it in the CORRECT BOX, which is not our job. UPS and FED-EX trucks are 3× the size than a USPS vehicle! I just think if YOU CAN'T DRIVE/READ YOU SHOULD NOT BE WORKING FOR THE USPS! read more

Very poor service all around. Carrier leaves box door open so mail gets rain soaked. Large parcels are crammed in the box causing damage, and we frequently get someone else's mail or they get ours. The actual on-site customer service is so-so. The staff is just rather cold, unlike other business in Fort Bragg. A smile would be a nice change once in a while. read more

this message is for your post master. I talked to her a few months ago I had filed a complaint at the main office because of mail being put in the wrong boxes . now here is what I have a card with a check in it that should have been here on the 7th it was put in my box sat. so I am assuming it was put in the wrong box -put in return mail_ then resorted. now the other piece of mail I have looks as though it was wadded up then sort of smoothed out same thing the post mark says it was delivered earlier and I would guess it was but put in the wrong box. so heres my suggestion before I have to make another formal complaint why don't you make up a flyer (so you don't have to use postage) and simply say we have had some complaints about mail being in the wrong boxes have you had this happen to you? the mail carrier can pick them up and then you can see if there are enough people so you can refresh your carriers on the ongoing complaint.
