I guess the federal government's long arm of cut backs has reached this small little town. That's sad. When a small remote town has a post office and the hours are cut so short. Fortunately there are other post offices that aren't too far if need be but if you are a box holder you need to plan well.

Did you buy some postcards while in Glacier National Park? Did you forget stamps? Do you need to…read moremail them? Well be sure to stop at this very conveniently located post office (it's even on the right as you exit the park via West Glacier). I don't recall seeing a stamp machine, so do be aware of the lobby hours, which are Mon-Fri 8:30am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 4:15pm. It's not open Saturday or Sunday, so you'll have to buy stamps elsewhere, but you can still do your mailing here.

This little town was beautiful and quaint. It has all of the necessities that you will need on your…read moreway into Glacier National Park. It has a post office, gas station, visitors' center and a restaurant. This road leads to the breathtaking Road to the Sun which has some sights such as the Weeping Wall which is a sheer wall of rock that has waterfalls that pretty much get one side of your car wet. These waterfalls are the result of the meltwater from the glaciers above your head. The summit of this road is Logan's Pass which is a continental divide that has a gift store and a trail that you can walk that leads up the side of a mountain. People are allowed to ski and snowboard along this trail which kind of blew my mind since we're in the middle of freaking SUMMER!!! You also get a view of the valley that Yosemite AND Yellowstone don't have anything on. You can see where the glacier came through and carved this valley. I will post pictures at a later date. I can honestly say that I don't say "holy shit" when it comes to nature, but that's what I said when I made one of our few stops along the highway. We also saw a black bear and we found him when we saw about 20 tourists on one side of the road snapping a picture of him. I was so cool!!! I will be back on another trip definitely!!!
