She wanted me to use a credit card. When I laughed and said, I can't believe the US government doesn't have a $20 bill in the drawer, she said that they are not part of the government! I said well I certainly hope they don't bail you out anymore! Finally, she made change with a ten, a five and two ones, but she was extremely rude. I told her I would be making a complaint, and she said good, I hope you do. Glad they were open, glad they had the stamps, but she should be fired.

Interesting little PO at the corner of Comm Ave and Melrose St, I think the word I am looking for…read moreis "nondescript" for the building itself. PO is on the first floor, there is a small parking lot on one side with exit onto Melrose St. I only needed to drop off a small package with a paid label on it, and the box to put packages in said "letters only". I went in and the guy in front of me was dropping off something he had received by mistake (pretty nice, most people would probably just toss it out) and I handed my package to the nice woman at the counter. She was very nice, gave me a receipt so I could track it and off I went. If you were to go here during the holidays - or to get your envelope postmarked on April 15 - the line would probably be out the door since it is a tiny space, but arrive early or go to another location (that probably will not have free parking).

When I arrived at the post office there was no prepaid drop box in the hallway. There was a long line of people waiting in line to do business that involved clerk services. As is the custom in every other post office that I have frequented, I politely excused myself as I went to drop my package off at the counter. Suddenly the big burly male clerk shouted at me yelling about how I had Cut the line. I politely explained that my package was prepaid and I was leaving it on the counter as I was the protocol in Newtonville. The clerk snarked at me saying "Well this isn't Newtonville". I was so shocked and offended by his raging, disproportionate response to my mistake that I snatched my package and turned to leave. I didn't intend to but was so upset that I shouted "F" YOU, on my way out the door. I am embarrassed by my blurted response. However, I have NEVER been treated so abusively. That clerk has no business working with the public!

This USED to be a great place to get copies made, ship packages, etc., etc. There was a clerk…read morenamed Pattie who worked there, & She was always "on top" of everything. Unfortunately for Me, Pattie retired, & this business evidently is now under new ownership & has REALLY gone DOWNHILL fast. I recently bought a couple of vintage auto parts on eBay. Sadly, they wouldn't fit, necessitating My returning them for a refund. eBay emailed Me a "QR code". When I saw "FedEx" listed as the carrier I needed to use to ship the parts back I cringed, since anything & everything remotely related to this pitiful "carrier" always seems to end up complicated, a huge hassle, & a gigantic nightmare. Having no other viable options at the moment, I grudgingly drove to the "Postal Center" so they could scan the QR code, print a label, & ship the package out for Me. Well, FedEx "came through" for Me once again, right on cue. The "clerk" on duty matter-of-factly informed Me that the Postal Center is "no longer scanning FedEx QR codes". I really thought She was kidding! They advertise themselves as a "full service center", are considered a FedEx drop-off location, & they can't/won't scan QR codes? Preposterous!!!!! A wasted trip, & in case this clerk hasn't noticed, gas prices (like FedEx rates), are in the stratosphere. She could care less. This "clerk" was about as useless as power windows in a submarine. No apologies, no recommendation(s) of what My options are, etc. I asked Her WHY they won't scan QR codes She informed Me that "We don't have the necessary equipment to scan QR codes". REALLY??? I suggested that it might be good business practice for Them to INVEST in a scanning machine, seeing that They're supposedly a "FedEx full-service location". DUH!!! That suggestion also fell on deaf ears. I informed Her that I was finished doing any business with "The Postal Center"...She could care less about this also. Quite the "attitude"! On My own, I searched the internet & quickly found that Walgreens in Millbury handles the shipping of FedEx packages. I called Them & when I told the clerk the story about The Postal Center not being able to scan FedEx QR codes, She too thought I was joking!!! She had never heard of anything so ridiculous! So, I drove to Millbury. She (Karen) was very nice & helpful (unlike the DUDS at The Postal Center!!) Within 3 minutes She had the QR code scanned, the shipping label affixed, & the package was on its way! Now THAT's the way to do business!!! So whatever You do, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER using The Postal Center for anything since They're as useless as FedEx, I'm spreading the word far & wide, with the hopes that this pitiful excuse for a "business" will go the route of "Spirit Airlines", along with FedEx, and cease to exist. Thats why I switched to going to Staples for all my shipping needs. Now that USPS complained about partnering with Staples, I am moving my shipping to UPS or FedEx. Anything other than USPS. The only thing I like about USPS are the mailmen. They are the friendliest of people Since Staples doesn't take packages anymore, I now leave my packages with my mailman.

A better government employee us citizens could not ask for. This mall is minimally occupied so there is plenty of parking. Handicapped parking is directly in front of the store. The location appears to have all the services of a larger Post Office without the lines. In short, a great Post Office that I would return to if in the area.

There are a small number of PO Boxes. The parking lot is small, but efficient. If you're looking for a quick in and out stop for all your postal needs this is the place!
