Walked in today at 2:18 PM, and the man sitting at the desk said it was closed. The doors were already locked, even though the posted hours show they are open until 2:30 PM. This was very inconvenient for me, and it's frustrating when businesses close early instead of honoring their posted hours. read more

This branch manages to deliver mail about 1 time per week. Either the route carriers are overloaded or this place is astonishingly dysfunctional. The only thing that actually works is the hold mail service- probably because it wouldn't have been delivered anyway. read more

The worst. Notice given to me yesterday that my package was held here and the email clearly says pickup hours go until 5:30. I show up at 5:15 and the lady says they stop giving packages out at 5pm. Wait what? I show her the email with the time stating 5:30pm and the woman just repeats that the door closes to give packages at 5 (even though they are still open until 5:30). I then ask how am I supposed to know that when I followed the email from USPS on pick up hours given? Her response, "well you know because I'm telling you now". Wow. Seriously? Wish I could give 0 stars. No wonder Amazon is winning. I can't get in touch with anyone from the facility unless i called 10 times. It clearly sounded like they were laughing and goofing off when the lady picked up the phone. She was completely condescending and totally unhelpful. My package (from Amazon?) was supposed to be here yesterday so I could read for my graduate course by this afternoon but i was ultimately failed by this post office. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!! If you can find another post office in your area that is better than this, GO THERE! I would even say if you have to ship packages, go to another shipping facility like FedEx or UPS, or local postal centers before you ship here! There is NEVER a Manager nor Supervisor on duty to deal with customers' issues. The mail carrier NEVER picks up packages for Business Customers even when you make a request for pickup. This last experience was the tipping point. A clerk named Tawanna was highly unprofessional. She proceeded to argue with me after rushing me, and even when I went to another clerk to complete my transaction, she still argued with me while I was trying to check out. She had a customer in her face and still addressed me. The customer had to yell for her to service her instead of arguing with me who was not in front of her. It almost turned into a full brawl if my son wasn't there. The fact that she was arguing with me with my four-year-old right there lets you know just how classes, unprofessional and disgusting this post office is. The employees who were there with her didn't even intervene to tell her to stop. I have a business and I WILL NEVER ship with this post office again, and I suggest you do the same. I am about to pull my shipping from USPS in general because the whole business is disgusting. She also asked me, "what you gone do", and told me to "go to another post office" which is funny, because us buying packages with them is what pays theirs and their manager's salary. Quick service! Lady who helped me out was very kind and polite. I was dropping off a Poshmark package and she knew exactly what to do.

Want customer service? Want a long line? Want to be able to actually get your mail? Want to talk to someone who cares about their job? Well the answers in order are NO, YES, NO, NO! The USPS, this location, does not offer any kind of customer service, or friendly staff. The y don't know where your mail is or why it has not come in 3 days even though the "informed delivery" email your get in your inbox says you should have had mail every day. Your mis-delivered packages, may or may not get to you, and you have to wait a week to file a claim. I dont know how a business can operate in this fashion.... I choose to use other methods for getting physical documents and such to people. read more

I have had 3 packages delivered to this location that just "went missing". Have also shipped 2 packages from this location that went missing. I was told they were shipped without a label scan but the recipient never received them. I have opened multiple cases with USPS about this specific location and had nothing resolved. The picture above is certainly true. We seem to be having the same issues at this SMU Blvd location as we did at the old Lovers Lane location: as little helpfulness at the package pick up window as possible, being given false info, changing official USPS info to cover up their errors. I had a package that failed to be delivered, as indicated by the tracking number. I went to the local post office as the tracking info told me to do. I actually had to go twice because God forbid they should be a bit resourceful themselves. I returned the next day with official info about the package not being delivered. I was then told by the unhelpful woman the package was lost. By the time I got home to report it as lost, the status had mysteriously changed to "delivered" two weeks prior. WTF? Later that night I got an email from my official lost report saying it had been returned to sender--dated the NEXT day. Seriously? You had ONE job. The local PO changing the status dishonestly is completely unacceptable, and whoever did it should be legally charged with felony federal tampering. read more

I live in an apartment, I received a redelivery slip in my apartment mailbox with details saying I wasn't home... I was pregnant at the time and on required bed rest for several months, I'm always home but the mail person never comes to the door, just leaves notices in the mailbox, which I do not live in my apartment mailbox so I wouldn't be "home". I went to this location to pick up my item since the delivery person can't do their job and deliver my mail. I waited in line (mostly standing until someone let me sit on a ledge) for 3 1/2 hours with 15+ other people to pick up my signature required letter. The front desk workers were extremely rude to everyone. I don't understand how these people are allowed to be in a position to speak with the general public. read more

I have had a horrible experience since May with this post office specifically. I ordered a hat from AUS at the beginning of May knowing this would take time due to covid and shipping from AUS... knowing I would need it in June. Never showed up and was marked as delivered. I submitted a claim, never heard from USPS, I called every other day and then went to the USPS location and spoke with a supervisor that would give me a call once she had more information, nothing. My neighbor who also had items marked as delivered went the extra mile since we were getting no help and reached out to apartment complexes around us to find our packages. Thankfully my hat was there, but no thanks to USPS for not helping at all and delivering my package to the wrong complex. This has happened three more times since May. The second time, they could not access my apartment complex... I waited around for USPS to deliver and finally got that package. The third time, I had to wait around for USPS AGAIN and asked him to please help me search for my package. He checked all of the mail boxes at my complex and the apartment complex next to me and nowhere to be found. I filed a claim and did not hear back so I called Kevin the Supervisor of Customer Service. I left him a voicemail with my number and explaining what had happened, he never returned my call. The next business day I get an email that my claim has been closed because my package said delivered and he suggested that I reach out to the sender and ask for a replacement. He suggested that I explain to the sender that my package was left in an unsecured location.... the unsecured location being wherever USPS decided to leave my package since my mailbox is a secure location and the size of the package was a small bag that would fit in my box. I asked for a GPS location of where this package was delivered so I can go get it since it is not at my complex and the complex next to me and have not heard back yet. I completely understand one or two times this happening because mistakes happen and we are human, but 4 times since May and having to fight for my mail is a bit much. Being asked to reach out to a small business to ask for a replacement due to USPS not doing their job correctly and asking the company to pay for someone else's mistakes is not right. So I will now ship my USPS packages somewhere else and hope that this does not continue to happen. If I can avoid using USPS or at least this specific USPS location I will since this is an ongoing problem. read more

Missed an original delivery date for a very expensive autograph, immediately scheduled a redelivery the following day. While waiting two weeks, went out of town within that period and still no redelivery. Took the notification to the SMU BLVD. location and was told it had been returned to sender a few days prior but no exact date or new tracking was provided. After a week the original shipper has not received the package and it's near impossible to get any help on the phone. How they couldn't manage a redelivery for two weeks is beyond me. How they couldn't provide the return date and tracking number is beyond me. How they haven't come under investigation for negligence is beyond me. Many reviews read similar as mine. No wonder people have abandoned US Visited another P.O. and they discovered the package was still in Dallas. Visited this location again and a very competent employee was able to locate the package. Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe the quality of employees at this USPS location. If the employees here worked anywhere else, they would have long-since been fired. I had to go in to pick up a package that USPS decided to require a signature for (Amazon item, which never requires a signature normally). When I arrived, there was one other gentleman standing by the service window. There is no signage that indicates protocol for when to, and when to not, ring the service bell. I don't know how many people are working back there, or what they're working on, etc. I had no idea the repercussions of ringing the service window bell. A female employee threw open the window and angrily admonished me for ringing the bell, because "someone else was in line ahead of me". I wish that I was exaggerating, but this caused a scene that caused others waiting in line to look to see what was going on. Twenty + minutes later, the same employee comes back to me and I comment that she could stand be nicer. She was angry and extremely confrontational the entirely of our interaction. She was impatient as I retrieved my ID from my purse (I asked her to please put her hand down, as it was aggressively extended too close for my comfort level) and snatched it from my hand before I could offer it to her. When I mentioned how long I had been waiting to pick up 1 package, she closed the door and laughed loudly enough that she could be heard as she moved about the warehouse. Not exaggerating, it was a psychotic, maniacal laugh that went on for 1-2 minutes. She very clearly delighted in her abusive behavior, and seemed quite pleased with herself. It's so hard for me to believe that people like this are allowed to continue to work anywhere. Like I said earlier in this post, were this behavior to be exhibited by an employee at any other business, they would not be employed. I currently have a "no access" status on a package that I cannot reach anyone to explain. It is date and time stamped at a time I was home, and packages are routinely left on my porch. Or you can speak with USPS Dallas Consumer affairs 972-393-6755 from 8am to 4pm, Monday-Friday about package inquiries esp if you are not being assisted properly by management. Consumer affairs will open a case and speak directly to the manager at this location and managers detest inquiries from Consumer affairs. , this lights a fire under the manager and carrier to resolve the matter. read more

The absolute WORST!!! I won't go into great detail because these folks have sent me back and forth so many times. I moved and live over an hour away and have drove to this USPO 3 times to try and receive a package that the postal worker left a note at my old "vacant" address. I had my mail forwarded to my new address even before I completely moved and was in transition. It makes no sense!!... blah blah ramble ramble, the packages are still missing and it's been a month! A month after they were declared to be waiting for pick up At the post office. Never returned to sender. And no employees seem to know what's going on. I have been trying to get a hold all morning to locate my package and all it does is ring until it decides to just hang up. Very frustrated.

This post office is horrendous. First, if you live in a zip code that it services good luck with getting your packages on time. They will never get to you on time and the delivery person will always mark they cannot access your building or something similar that is a huge lie. Then when you go in to pick up the mail, all the woman at the counter are mean and look like they hate being employed. My suggestion is if you don't like working or working with people...Get another job! I'm sure there is someone that will take your place that is more capable. The postmaster is failing miserably. University Station is the type of operation that gives USPS a bad name. Keywords: no punctuality (30 minute wait before they opened, full disregard for people's time,) arrogance, terrible attitude, zero courtesy, zero disregard for anyone else's day nor priorities. The postal carriers here are a joke. First package tracking indicated delivered. Would require a key left in my locked box. Nope. Tried calling po. No one answers. Went there and spoke with them. Took my info and said would follow up with me. Nope. Went online to file a loss package. Process so confusing I gave up. Called 800 number. After multiple attempts finally got through to a human being. She only took down my information. About a week later received a generic "so sorry you are out of luck" email. I would give this zero stars if I could. The woman at the front desk actively picked a fight with us for no reason when we asked us how to bring our box up to be weighed. She then refused to help us because we had two boxes. I am disgusted that this facility would allow this behavior!
