He was the only one working for a little while and was able to multitask with ease with us having to take new pictures and help with the paperwork and helping a few customers along the way. I highly recommend this post office for all your needs. It's definitely worth it even if you have to go out of your way to get there depending where you are in Tuolumne County.

You can buy supplies, eat a burger, and mail postcards all at one location. Many people use this post office to have resupplies sent for backpacking trips along the JMT and in YNP. This location provides many of the same services found in a full location. Normally I would give one more star for the convenience factor except for Michael. Michael works in the post office handling packages and providing customer service. Whatever you do, do not make him angry, or he will refuse to help even at the urging of a National Park Ranger. He definitely has a serious control issue. Based on my July 18th encounter, and his red face, I believe the USPS should be concerned about this employee 'going postal'. The sad thing is that I even submitted a complaint to USPS which they completely ignored.

There was…read moreunfortunately a pretty serious issue in that someone had covid (or likely symptoms) so they closed the Store AND the burger place - big problem for backpackers counting on those things for their 200+ mile hike!!! Michael was an angel to all as far as I could tell. He made sure that folks got their resupply boxes and that those who NEEDED food could get it from hiker box supplies. He made sure folks were informed about the unexpected closures, and how to get to Mammoth for supplies if needed and so on - and he was pretty much on his own for handling everything he could around there. I appreciated his help, his good attitude and ability to make things work and help everyone. She's a Manteca local and took the time to compare pricing with Staples, Office Depot, and other printing options to see what she could realistically do for me. What impressed me most was how much she was handling at once. While helping me with my printing order, she was also taking care of other customers coming in with packages, boxes, shipping, and purchases, and she kept everything moving. You can tell she's a hardworking small-business owner who knows how to multitask. We even went back and forth on pricing. Obviously, a business can only discount so much and still make money, but she genuinely tried to work with me and get me the best deal she could instead of just giving me a price and sending me on my way. She was thorough, compared options, made calls, and explained everything. What I especially respect is that her business seems to be built heavily through word of mouth. Coming from another local business that also values referrals, I appreciate that a lot. When customers recommend you because of the work and service you provided, you have to keep earning that reputation every single time. It shows that she's willing to put in the work and let her customers' experiences speak for the business. As another local business owner, I respect that. She understands what it's like to run a business, make a profit, take care of customers, and still try to help the little guy and other local businesses when she can. The shop is a little tucked away, but once you find it, it's definitely worth stopping in and comparing their pricing with the bigger office and printing stores.
