About two years ago my husband and I were getting married. It was about a month before the wedding when something disastrous occurred. Quite suddenly we stopped getting mail. At the time we lived in an apartment complex and the couple next to us left suddenly without a forwarding address. The first couple of days I thought nothing of it. Then I saw our postman who informed me he thought we had moved then realized he switched the "9" for "6" and got our mailbox confused with the other couple. Quick fix he said. Go to the post office and get your mail. At the post office they refused to hear me out. Instead I was told I should fill out a slip with my forwarding address. They seemed not to hear, "I haven't moved!" When they continued to insist, I filled it out with my current (and not new) address. They didn't appreciate that. When someone did take the time to hear me out they kindly informed me my mail was either thrown away or sent back as they don't keep mail that doesn't have a forwarding address. At the time I was working part time and got my checks through the mail. Since they stopped the mail my check (due to me that day) was returned. Additionally, the wedding responses, which should have been coming in, we were told were either returned or possibly discarded. At this point, I did become quite upset. My paycheck gone, my wedding responses lost and they keep telling me, "well you didn't provide a forwarding address and you didn't check your mail box daily." They seemed oblivious to my true situation. So, why am I rehashing this two years later? My friend who still lives in the area called me to say they stopped delivering her mail. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. They do not care if you package is lost, damaged, or not even delivered to your house. Picking up a package here is the biggest pain imaginable!!!! Our mail carrier doesn't deliver our packages so we have to go here to pick them up ever week and I dread it so much! Never enough staff, they are rude and it take at least 20 minutes every time, and they usually can't find all of the packages. Go to another post office if at all possible!! read more

I go to this post office often, as it's by Ace Hardware, Schnucks, Target, Whole Foods and a host of other merchants. At one time I had a post office box here, which was easy to access. Sometimes the lines are long, but they're quite efficient, get people's business completed quickly and well, and have all stations open. read more

This branch only gets positive stars because the people who work there are super-helpful, and they're open until 6pm. They always check for stuff in the back for me, and have been unfailingly polite when I've needed help. But I have a couple of little rants that ultimately make this place a 2. First of all, the location. I live half a mile from the Chesterfield Post office. So imagine my surprise when I stopped by to pick up a package, and they inform me that they are not my post office, and I instead have to drive all the way down to the Town and Country PO in after-work traffic to get my package. Whose bright idea was it to draw the zip codes like that? Second of all, the accessibility of the location. Actually getting there isn't a big deal, it's a little tucked away, but that's hardly a big deal. But getting out? What a stupid headache. Traffic is really heavy around the Lamp and Lantern shopping center, so forget taking a left turn out. Finally, after living here about a year, I finally wised up to that little road that goes back by Comcast and all that, then runs parallel to 141, and finally meets up around 141 and 40, where you can get back on 40 west. If you go to that shopping center regularly, or if you actually live close to it, then I would say this is a great example of post-office-ness. Unfortunately, for everyone else, it's way inconvenient. read more

Town & Country PO used to be good but not now! I have an issue with an International Package being returned without any Customs forms and the very large woman who was the supervisor on duty 8/20/19. She was not knowledgeable on issues of International shipping. In July I have spent almost $500 on International shipping alone! I've been shipping Internationally since 2003 and had spoken to a USPS International Agent Kim by phone from the USPS website, before I met the "supervisor" at T&C yesterday. She did not offer any help, tried to make it seem like I incorrectly filled out the Customs forms, she mixed up the value of the package with the cost of postage, didn't understand that the clear envelope on the box was where the Customs forms had been but when it was returned to me were gone, she didn't understand what the S10 Brazilian code is (postal code), she said I addressed the package incorrectly after I filled out the USPS Customs forms right from the USPS website, she then accused me that how did she know this was the package that I originally sent out after I told her the last time I sent a package to this person was in April and was received by the person. It was like talking to a wall! Then,today when I called to get her name, an employee by the name of Brenda refused to give me the first name of the supervisor on duty yesterday. I believe her name may have been Nicole but who knows! I have filed an inquiry as to how the USPS system says the package with that tracking number says its still on its way to its final destination, when it is here in my possession!!! read more

The supervisor Scott, is horrible!!! I had an issue, not at the actual branch, but with the master lock at an apt. bldg. He tried to blame the tenants for the lock issue. When I stated that's impossible because only the postal workers have access to that lock, he would not listen. In my speaking with their staff person who fixes the postal master locks, his appropriate answer was to look at the lock and repair where needed, would be done. Scott, the supervisor of this branch instead had lied saying the whole box needed to be changed despite the fact that was never said by the person who fixes the locks. The supervisor Scott actually threatened to not deliver the mail to the tenants!! What's amazing, is that come to find out, a temp mail carrier that particular day, did not operate the lock correctly, so when all was checked by their repair man, there was nothing wrong with the lock in the first place. So the supervisor had horrible communication skills, lack of understanding about the situation, and never took the time to adequately see the whole picture before threatening to not deliver the mail to 8 people, when there was NO REASON TO DO SO. read more

Beware of clerk #11! Yesterday I was at this post office to mail several envelopes. All went well until it came for my change back. I absolutely know I handed over a $20 bill, but the change reflected that I had handed her a $10. When I questioned this...she immediately began to count out the money/change in her drawer showing no emotion...like she anticipated that she would be doing it. As I expected...the cash in her drawer counted out correctly and she said that I could speak to her supervisor. Yeah...my word against the "drawer's word". The problem is...when the clerks are making the cash transactions, unless you are 7 feet tall, you cannot see over the top of the counter down inside of their "booth". I absolutely know I was scammed. She seemed just too at ease and methodical about it all, that I feel she must have this scam down to a science. Just use caution...or always use a credit card for your transactions at the post office. I've definitely learned from this mistake!!! I've always enjoyed this post office and never had any complaints. All the employees have been so helpful and professional. In all the years I've gone here, this is the only negative issue I have ever experienced. I have never seen this clerk before...not sure if she's new or if she was a fill in, but she needs to be watched closely! :-( read more

I waa just popping out of my shower and sitting on my bed wheny doorbell rang. I quick as I could threw on the closest clothes I had and went down the steps. Took all of maybe 30 seconds from the second knock which was right after the first. When I opened the door the driver was already back down my somewhat long steep hill. When I yelled down what did he need he said I had a package and if I wanted it I had to come get it. I told him I was handicapped and also in pajamas. He said he didnt care. I told him to hold on, went BACK up the stepsn got fully dressed and came back down then down the long driveway to sign for the medicine I was getting. The driver was very tall and young. Perfrctly capable of running let along walking back to the door.he could have even pulled into the drive way ANYTHING to help me. When I asked hi. His ne JOHN he was rude. When I called the usps about it they said that there is no way he could have made it down the hill in 30 seconds. That I was lying. He was incredibly rude as well. I madeit down in 30 sec or less and I 5 foot 3 and this man had to be at least 6 foot 2. Only difference was I am handicapped and each step I take HURTS. read more
