I was assured by the many individuals working at the Bessemer Social Security Office that my Retirement funds would begin appearing in my Regions Bank on Monday 01/12/2026. The anxiety created by this is catalyzing my decline in health and most like many other elderly individuals.

The water was beautiful and the swimming areas are clean and fun for kids. The creamery doesn't allow pets inside ( i agree with that ) but when I joked with staff about having to leave my dog outside while I bought ice-cream they quickly offered her a Pup Cup of cream!! I was blown away! The open air train ride was fabulous! $1 per person one way or $2 round trip. They also allow your pet to ride with you!! The hiking trails were clearly marked and well maintained. I recommend bug spray as it is still very woodsy. The country store had essentials and souvenirs. We did not camp here due to the smaller camp sites and close proximity to other campers. We prefer the more open campground lay outs but would consider it during a less crowded season. The bath house was very clean! We plan to go back and attend trade days!

They have plenty of book options, renting options for movies , games, as well! I found myself sinking so much time into this place. As I got my library card the staff were so so nice and so helpful on explaining everything. This place is definitely a treasure to keep.

Before they opened a very rude woman berated a elderly woman. She was telling her that she should park by the woods instead of the library parking. The elderly woman told her twice I can't walk that far. Me and my husband parked in the library parking. If they would have did me that way I would have said bye. I don't have to spend my money here nor my time. It was rude and uncalled for!! Is this how you treat older people Alabaster?? Finally the third time she said you can park up here. Why did you make a big deal about it anyways. She was elderly!! She said not once but three times she couldn't walk that far. It was ridiculous and this is the Alabaster you try to say is a good place to live ha! I bought a few books but I'm honestly rethinking going to another one in the future if this is how your employees act. Your piney woods festival was a joke and has been for awhile. You barely had participants . Quit hounding older people and quit the nonsense. We were at the book sale under less than 10 min. Pretty sure the older lady wouldn't have been there for long either. I think I'm done with the rudeness of the employees here. You can rebuild another one all you like. Your employees are rude!!!

They have teens section, kids section, a theatre I'm talking the works but the family section is why I'd say it's the BEST! The family section features soo baby things to do. For breastfeeding moms, there's a nursery for privacy. For moms with littles, there's an outside play area that's included. There's also classes for littles but register in advance because they do fill up. They also have tons of things to do throughout the month and a cute brochure to take home so you know what's happening when. Highly recommend (even if you're not a local and just stopping by).

I just loved the water, it was so clear. reminded me when i was a small kid and used to play in the water at my grandma's house. I wish there were some blooming flowers there, it would have been so beautiful. The mill itself was closed, but we were able to walk around it and check it out.
