Line is backed up out the door, one employee occasionally at the counter having to go in the back to do paper work every few mins

TL/DR: Fast, efficient, affordable, and friendly. What more could you ask?…read more The progeny just moved to NYC and their partner's espresso machine was here and since a latte is $9 there without additions, I thought it might be nice if they had their machine. It was in a box that was great for the shelf in the store and maybe for shipping on a pallet of other boxes, but not for the mail or for UPS. It needed another box and then to be shipped. My preference is for local businesses over franchises because all of the money stays as close to my community as possible so I did a little search and this one was convenient to my other errands. I used no other filter. The place was clean and bright, with tidy displays of local products (good place for gift shopping, perhaps), and the ranks of mailboxes at the front of the store. Someone came from out of the back before I got to the counter. I explained my situation, gave them the details, and the whole thing took about 6 minutes. An 18X18X10 inch box and the packing material for it plus shipping came to $44. I was pleased with the service, the atmosphere and the cost. I'll definitely be back to ship more of their stuff to them as their two year stint in the big apple continues.

Disappointed in this buissesness after doing buissesness with them for years, I will never do buissesness with them again.

I'm taking a pass because maybe it's a local thing and the locals are agreeable to it and besides that, this is a review for the local post office. the Ellensburg Post Office, judging by content and context of the reviews, seems a mess but after navigating the streets and sidewalks and seeing what passes for acceptable parking out front I am inclined to believe you get what you deserve considering that postal workers are generally hired locally so these are your very own neighbors treating you this way... I just popped in to post a few cards and the drop box was clearly labeled and functional so I did not get to interact with the staff, just the folks coming and going and "parking"... not saying anything, just saying that sometimes you get what you deserve.

However the last few years: regarding P.O. Box mail. The back office has a systematic delivery method for the mail. That part is needed, however, some will argue this method can also target paid for boxes with service difficulties. Operational: The back office workers place the mail as far back toward their work space as they can. If someone doesn't go to the post office every day, back office personnel do not inch the mail slightly forward toward the customer access door. The small pieces are most vulnerable. Think size wise, of pieces such as 1099 tax statements. If something falls out the back, it is lost. Talking to mostly friendly front desk personal about the issue still can have the back office personnel delivering the mail in the back of the box.
