These quiet people are like my local business partners. As an Ebay store owner, I have to mail and ship a helluva lot of things all over the world! And these magicians at USPS manage to not to lose, break or screw up the wacky valuables I put in their handy FREE shipping boxes. They not only have boxes, if you go online you can have said boxes delivered to your door. You can also have your mailman stop by your house and pick up your packages so your cute lazy ass can stay all bundled up in the house writing yet another compelling listing. Though they aren't the solution for HUGE or super heavy items (not so good there) they are amazing and I am proud of our post office to have delivered every single item I have ever shipped with them in a timely and professional manner. FYI, the line here is sometimes too long at lunch time and near the holidays so I avoid it when possible by having my mailman come to my house. Maybe a big advertising genius needs to revamp the old "going postal" saying & put a positive yet hip spin on it?? read more

I feel like the Post Office is becoming more like the DMV. The staff get the job done but aren't the friendliest. I asked for two forwarding address booklets and they gave me only one. They then said you can forward your address on line; I checked and they charge you $20.00, what?!!! read more

I love the Beaverton Post office. First off....the Automated postal center is a great service. Being able to ship whatever I want at any hour is a nice convenience. Those times that I have to go to the counter. The staff here is always friendly and helpful. Those times when I had something odd to ship overseas they were crucial in helping me get the box the right way. They always help to find the most cost efficient way to get the stuff to the destination. read more

So, update. The good news? I finally started receiving my mail (today, mind you). However, it wasn't that simple. So I filed a complaint with the USPS after writing this. I promptly received a phone call from some USPS troll named Tony, stating the issue was corrected... jump to a week later... nope, still not receiving my mail. So I file a complaint with the Inspector General of the USPS... I receive an email from the same troll named Tony claiming it was corrected... jump again to a week later... yeap, as I expected, nothing corrected, and I'm still not receiving my mail. So I filed a written complaint with my U.S. Congressional Representative. I receive a response that their office is working on resolving the issue, etc, etc. And they actually did something! Sweet Zombie Jesus tap dancing on a lake! As of today, I finally have mail coming in! ........... however, USPS still doesn't know where almost two months of my mail went, though. And people think the same government that oversees these buffoons are capable of handling our healthcare? That just goes to show how idiotic the general populous really is. read more

Given the choice of cutting off my arm with a rusted saw or standing in line at the post office, I would most likely stand in line. And be there for a long time. This is the main post office in beaverton so its very busy. The staff is very knowledgeable and tries to get the line moving, but my fellow customers are slow and hold up the line. I guess it would be better if they had more staffing at heavy volume times, but lets be real. This is a government establishment and uncle Sam sure isn't going to pay any extra dollars. read more

I've lived in a lot of cities and mailed a lot of mails, but this Post Office is one of the best I've been to. Why? The service is so good. Whether it's to get information or to mail a package, the workers are all very nice and patient. They also have a good number of parking spots. read more

There was no customers yelling at the counter employees, or vice versa, so it was perfectly fine in my book. I guess that's how I've come to start rating Post Offices! Cue horror movie soundtrack, combined with flashes to WWIII, and you have a small glimpse into a Seattle post office I used to go to when I lived there. Well thank goodness this Post Office is nothing like that. Easy to get to - right off Farmington (although not any stand-out signage, so look for the big brick building), plenty of space between the parking lot and side streets, and there was no big line during lunch hour. Definitely will be my go-to Post Office for those random times I need to send some snail mail. read more

Always so slow & always a line. I've come all different times & never is there no line or fast service. The employees here are always so mad or piss off or something. But our mail man we have that is from this location is so awesome. I haven't ever not enjoyed seeing him come to my job. He makes my day but the fill in mail men or women are rude and I don't honestly like seeing them. This location of USPS is just not the best. I understand they have gone through cuts and all but still they need to be better in customer service. Plus I've sent out things from this location and it gets lost and 2 or 3 months later the person gets in when the other person lives in Beaverton as well which I can't believe but nothing can get done about that. read more

I found out today we got a new mail carrier when a package I have been tracking online for weeks said it had been delivered.... To my disappointment the package was not in my mailbox or at my apt office. After waiting on hold for 17 minutes I finally got a representative... The only thing the rep could do is open a case for me and tell me someone would be in touch with me soon... What does that mean exactly! At least 10 people in line on a Friday afternoon. I suppose that might be normal. Only one open parking spot in the lot as well. Good thing they have one of those automated postal machines where you can weigh and print postage yourself! I had three packages to mail but I was in and out in about five minutes. Would have taken FOREVER if I had to wait in line. By the time I was done there were three other people in line to use the do-it-yourself machine. Looks like they also had a good selection of greeting cards to peruse while you're waiting in that long line as well. The best advice I can give here is to avoid Friday afternoons. Second best advice? Learn how to use the automatic postal thing. It's pretty straightforward and you'll save a ton of time. read more

I don't know where to begin with this post office. First of all, they are never staffed properly. For example, around the holidays when everyone is mailing gifts, they have 1 maybe 2 clerks and a mailing machine that is out of order. The line is always, always, always out the door. It doesn't matter what time of day you are there. The clerks are the worst part. Not only are they very slow, they chat amongst themselves when they should be taking care of their customers, but they are incredibly rude! They have no respect for their customers or their customer's time. I dread coming here, I will offer pay more to mail my package elsewhere or drive a longer distance to a different office. read more

You know, its post office. I don't expect much from them. However, one of their guy, who has long hair, always refuses to acccept my package. He said it is because cosmetics and flammable. Guess what? Ive worked for shipping company before and I clearly know which cosmetics I can ship and can't, internationally. And I always double check their ingredients so that I don't break the law. However, this employee always, ALWAYS, say NO as soon as he sees any cosmetics on custom form. If Portland is where young people go to retire, this Post Office is where government workers go to practice their contempt. There are some genuinely helpful folks who work here, but it's like spotting a deer wandering the streets of NYC. You hear about it, but you don't know anyone who has actually seen it with their own eyes. If you ever wonde why the USPS is in trouble, visit this (or any facility) and you will see for yourself. This review also extends to the multitude of carriers who service our home delivery. I occasionally receive registered mail from overseas. In every instance (4 in the last year), the carrier will leave the orange (form 3849) paper on our door, yet they never knock or ring the bell to obtain a signature. I often work from home, and would hear them knocking, my Wife and son would certainly hear it as well. It does not matter how I fill out the form, they will not redeliver to our home. The only option is to waste a Saturday standing in the long pick-up line at the post office. Trying to fix this with the "supervisor" at the local post office is a waste of time. I've actually had one of them tell me directly, that he delivered the note to our door, and he rang the doorbell himself personally. The lady doing the passports looked at the clock since the closing time for passport window was 4pm and gave me a dirty look and was rude through out the process. Mocking me and acting smart. We went here to get a passport application for my daughter. I made a mistake on the application by writing with blue ink, when it needs to be in black. An oversight on my part. However, the man with a pony tail behind the passport desk was not nice, or helpful. He seemed to be having a bad day and that us being there was making it worse. I don't remember exactly, but the last time I was physically in a post office was at least a couple of years ago to pick up a package. Postage stamps are purchased now at the grocery store or through an ATM. If I do mail packages, I can purchase postage online. My bills are all paid via online portals as well. But this being tax day and I missed the mail pickup where I live, I had to go into downtown Central Beaverton and mail my returns. It's such a short way that I walked and was glad I did because this post office's traffic spills out onto Farmington , never an attractive traffic option most of the time, so I was able to take just a few quick steps into the building and back out and avoid all the waiting. It's otherwise a standard post office, but the employees were pretty friendly and helpful on this very busy day. The one high note is that this post office is located in a pleasant and attractive neighborhood near the library with lots of interesting small shops to explore, so that's what I'm going to have to do. read more

I don't know how a couple of the employees at this post office have kept their jobs! My husband and I have both witnessed two of them be rude to customers probably at least 50 times over the years and I have had my share of abuse. I try to be as friendly as I can and nothing seems to work until I get fired up and say something. I avoid 2 of the employees and let customers go before me. One is an older lady and the other is Richard with the long hair. Most of us would never complain and I think that is how they have got away with their rudeness all these years. I have told customers outside to go to another post office that have been turned away because they were told their packages are to bulky or unacceptable. I was told last month that I had a wrong address on a package by Richard. I confirmed the address with the addressee and it got their just fine. Tonight I got all fired up by the older lady. She was unloading the mail boxes outside past the cut off time. I had a smile on my face and was friendly and said 'oh you are out here past the cut off time' and reached to hand her my card. She had a stiff face and said I had to go inside. As I walked toward the inside I said I don't know how you and Richard have kept your jobs and that more people haven't complained about you. You would think after all these years you could be friendly, Then someone else walked up and got ready to put mail in her boxes. With that she told me I could put it in the box and she would take it. Why didn't she say that in the first place! Then she told me that she isn't friendly or doesn't talk when she is working. I replied that if I wasn't friendly when I worked I wouldn't have any customers. This post office is the most convenient to me but I drive to other locations if I can. The way the post office is struggling you would think they would try to have their employees have a friendlier disposition. The lines don't bother me near as much as the rude service I have received. read more

I think this post office is not a trust worthy unit. I have found a couple of its female workers to be surly and have given wrong information concerning rates and required postage. A couple of times, mail has gotten 'lost' en route from this location, so I take most of my mail to UPS stores, or to other postal locations. read more

Started using this Beaverton PO thinking it would be just as convenient as my usual Aloha branch. Dropped off my packages on Tuesday, one package has no tracking, the others were loaded on Saturday! I have applied for my passport and my daughter's passport. This lady, i beleive her name is Melody, she is white, dirty blond, mid 50's and with a rough look on her face, very rude, Mocking me around and acting smart. The second time i went for my daughter's application, acted the same way towards my 15 year old and myself. She was so rude to this hispanic family who came after ne about 3:45 and told them to go to another place to file for their passport. She didn't complete my daughter's application correctly and now i have been waiting for over a month even paying the expedite fee, dealing with the Passport center office in New Hampshire because this lady didn't do her job correctly. Next time i walked into this office i saw this other lady who arrived about 3:50 and the same employee tried to give her the same attitude, this lady didn't let her do this and she was so pleasant after that, probably because her supervisor was around. Then the same day, the clerk who was helping me, bossed me around because i didn't fill out my certified form correctly. These people don't have any class nor professionalism. It's been several times i had to go to this location and all of them have been a very dissapointing experience. I will never use this post office again. Hope this helps. read more
