Not responsive to phone calls. Second time with the same issue, and it has not been resolved. Hate to give a bad review, but after trying to contact the postmaster multiple times on three days and not getting someone to even answer the phone. And yes, I used the Yelp site with live updates of busy times and avoided them, but to no avail. Boxes are being crammed into keyed boxes at central mailbox locations to where they can not be removed because of the rim framed around the door restricting the exit size. On my last delivery, I had to cut open one of the boxes inside the package mail box and remove the contents in order to remove the other, karger package. read more

I see the reviews and I write very few but felt compelled this time. I live in Texas I bought my son who's in the Air Force base a very expensive gift. Problem is I forgot to put his Trailer #. In my panic I called this post office. I have never been able to call a post office and actually talk to someone. But a gentleman answered. I explained my dilemma. And he kindly tracked the package. Got a hold of the carrier for that area. Updated the info personally. Then called me back to make sure I knew it was delivered. No one these days knows the meaning of customer service not simple communication or kindness. This gentleman who I wish I had his name. Put my mind at ease with just a few steps in his day to make sure his customer was completely satisfied. I hope everyone who needs help gets this guy. And I wish that just half of the post offices had this skills. Thank you sir for everything you did read more

I purchased Priority Mail and the letter never arrived at its intended destination. The postal supervisor made repeated empty promises to look into the matter and call me when there was some type of resolution. USPS has a monopoly without competition when it comes to letter delivery. What a sham. They all should be fired. read more

The Alamogordo USPO is amazing! I ship and order things on a regular basis, the multiple times I have mailed things from Alamogordo, NM to Indiana it arrives in 2 days - one day earlier than expected! From my experience ordering online, I have come to learn the shipping time it will take from other USPO hubs to my home for my packages. Nothing compares and can beat the productivity of the Alamogordo USPO. Came in for my last minute Holiday shipping and the lady and man working were very nice and helped every customer figure out the best and cheapest way to send our packages. I originally packaged my gifts in my own boxes to which she weighed them and helped me build boxes to put them in flat rates ones. Went to mail letters and envelopes. I mail items from all over the US. I asked for my envelopes to be handstamped..the nice employee said, 'Is the right amount of postage on here?' I don't know your federally paid job, but can you count to 0.49? I know I can...get this then the employee states: 'I don't have to stamp them.' Really??? I don't want your machine to damage the stamps. I want you to handstamp them---Dah! Then my large padded envelopes: I always pay $2.54 with a free tracking number. I sell on eBay so the tracking number is nice. This Lady charges me $1.54, places the label on the envelopes. I asked for my tracking numbers. She says, 'You only get those on packages'. ---I know it hard for all federal employees to be on the same page for the same business across the US that all have the same training, but really??? ---And hire more help, your lines are too long!! read more

Always have to wait in line to do anything. Not enough windows open. Always having problems with mail delivery at my house. Postal service has gone down hill thru the years. Maybe postal service should go private - maybe better services as long as they don't rehire postal workers. Calling postmaster does not help, only lip service, doesn't help when my bills are late because of non delivery! read more
