It came with faux spanish rice, which was edible, chili and a salad, which was smothered in a bland cream dressing making it inedible. I ordered quesadillas for my daughter. That dish looked oh so promising until I took a bite. I have never had a quesadilla made with SWISS CHEESE! Terrible. They could have used any other milder cheese, even cheddar! My in-laws had club sandwiches, which were good, but again loaded with swiss cheese. I would rather eat taco bell's "Latin" food. Here is why it is the best, there is nowhere else in the area (that I know of) that is even attempting to making "Latin" food so if you want something similar and don't want to make it yourself, those enchilada taquitos will hit the spot. The waitress spoke English. Took our order promptly, brought out our food, and then only came back to bring the check (to which she hovered over me until I pulled out the money to pay it right when she handed it to me).

However they offer a good alternative for their standards. I always liked the atmosphere of this restaurant and would definitely go there again next time I go visit Konstanz.

Basically, the idea is semi-similar to a Chipolte except that Buro Buro has a set few burrito choices and some other select menu items. My wife had the Classic and I had the daily special, the Don Jullo. The flavor of our food was very good, if a bit cool (temperature, not spice level). Service was good, attentive and very friendly. We ordered margaritas but they had just run out of lime juice so they made some fresh. Unfortunately, we were done eating before they came. The whole time our server and the staff kept apologizing for the problem. I ordered a second margarita and the manager mentioned it it would be much quicker than the first time. So, at least they're trying quite hard to please their customers. Something I quite respect. Is it 'real' Mexican food? No, not really. It's definitely much more Tex-Mex but it's Germany. One thing I was quite impressed with is that they use a lot of Cilanto/Koriander. It's something that's required for good Mexican food but most German based Mexican restaurants don't like to use it because Germans, on the whole, really dislike the herb. Curiously, they even garnish their margaritas with it. The place is very new, I don't know exactly how new but it still has the 'new' look and smell. They also do quite a breakfast menu which runs until 18:00. We didn't get into that at all but it looked interesting. Anyway, if I'm ever up in the area again, I'll definitely consider eating there. It'll be interesting to see if Buro Buro expands into other locations as time goes on. One interesting thing was that it was pretty chilly at dinner time last night but their large outside seating area was almost entirely full. It bodes well for their future.

Bit weird I know and it's not like I can just fly over there for food... (unfortunately!) When I was living in Switzerland this place was an all time favourite. I've had a lot of Mexican throughout my life time (yet to go to Mexico...) and this place by far has the best Mexican I've tasted to date. Hands down. I literally lived out of this restaurant whenever we were on a ski holiday... helped it was right next/ in the hotel we were staying. The food is great - always of a high standard no matter when you go and the staff are really helpful and friendly. It's an intimate restaurant and parts had fairly dim lighting (from when I was last there and that was a while ago) but it made for a nice atmosphere especially when the weather is incredibly cold outside. They welcome kids and go above and beyond their expected call of duty by offering colouring books, pencils etc. They're really just so lovely. Arosa is very well known for its "children friendly slopes." There are a lot of families that go there over Winter break/ during ski season. They have a very well organised skischule for all levels (even adults). The instructors are really nice and not necessarily from Switzerland but they speak fluent Haute Deutsch as often English as well. It's a great place to go skiing. Arosa is smaller than some with most slopes being of average difficulty but the atmosphere is lovely. There are quite a few nice restaurants around for such a small town. It's also easy to access if you don't have a car - you can get to Arosa by train and then either walk around or catch the free shuttle bus (if you've got a ski pass, otherwise I think you have to pay). If you're heading to Arosa to hit up the slopes, make sure you pop into the Cuculouche for dinner one time!!! It won't disappoint :) !

Long story in English: I have yet to find a good Mexican place in Switzerland - partly because food here isn't easy on the wallet, so trying new things is always a gamble. I recently went to Tres Amigos with my family, and we shared the chips and guacamole, nachos, and two plates of fajitas: one Pechuga de Pollo, and the other Camarones. The guacamole was delicious and we polished it off quickly. I'm not a nachos (or cheese, really) person, so I can't give a verdict on the nachos, but my family liked them. The fajitas themselves were served on a hot plate and were not bad... but when you roll food up and add guacamole and beans, it all starts to taste the same. ;) We did have some leftover chicken (from the Pechuga de Pollo), so I got to try that without the whole fajita, and was quite disappointed with the taste. It didn't seem to taste like anything in particular. Overall, it was an okay experience - the service was really great (they even had live music) and the food was okay, but I've definitely had better Mexican. Maybe I should just try something else if I go there again.

I definitely love Mexican food, but will admit I've had better Mexican food in Zurich, and for a better price. But I am always thankful for a Mexican restaurant in Europe! Bread was same kind you buy in any coop that last 2 weeks or so. Only the price was higher than the street corner 20 frankern for a crap burger. My friends had ribs and chili, the ribs tasted ok, but you could see they were made several hours earlier, the chili tasted good, but the size was like a starter, but priced as full meal. No skip this place and go somewhere else.
