The menu jumps all over the place, from burgers to burritos, to Chinese noodles and Cajun catfish. Yes, we have all that in America, but certainly not under one roof! That being said, the food isn't anything spectacular, as is with any restaurant that serves a grab bag of meals. What shocked me the most - the price! CHF22.00 for a cheeseburger!? CHF24.00 for Chinese noodles or a burrito?!?! I realize things cost more in Switzerland than The States, but this is ridiculous! This food costs four times as much. In The States, we pay: - Cheeseburger (gourmet): $9.00 - Chinese Noodles: $7.50 - Burrito: $5.00 Interesting concept, Stars and Stripes, but I think I'll save my money and eat the real thing while I'm at home. Salsa was not spicy at all, though :( The chips had a great texture. My kids ordered the chicken burrito and were disappointed, because it comes packed with vegetables inside and was not really spiced with Mexican flavors. I tried it and liked it, but it wasn't exactly authentic. (Which is fine, this is why we like to try Mexican food in other places!) One burrito was plenty for them to share, though the amount of chicken was less than I expected for the size of the burrito. Prices were in line with other places we've eaten in Zurich. Our waitress spoke mostly German so we muddled through our interactions but she was very kind and understanding :) The cocktails seemed very expensive, but I think that's typical. Had a so called "classic beef burrito"…read more Ingredients are far away from good or special. Cheap lettuce and rice is filling their classic beef. Beef means ground meat. No options, just bad quality. Gin & Tonic was as unloving as the burrito. Three years later: Food quality is a lot better. I still miss a real guacamole taste and radish in my beef burrito. Basically, the idea is semi-similar to a Chipolte except that Buro Buro has a set few burrito choices and some other select menu items. My wife had the Classic and I had the daily special, the Don Jullo. The flavor of our food was very good, if a bit cool (temperature, not spice level). Service was good, attentive and very friendly. We ordered margaritas but they had just run out of lime juice so they made some fresh. Unfortunately, we were done eating before they came. The whole time our server and the staff kept apologizing for the problem. I ordered a second margarita and the manager mentioned it it would be much quicker than the first time. So, at least they're trying quite hard to please their customers. Something I quite respect. Is it 'real' Mexican food? No, not really. It's definitely much more Tex-Mex but it's Germany. One thing I was quite impressed with is that they use a lot of Cilanto/Koriander. It's something that's required for good Mexican food but most German based Mexican restaurants don't like to use it because Germans, on the whole, really dislike the herb. Curiously, they even garnish their margaritas with it. The place is very new, I don't know exactly how new but it still has the 'new' look and smell. They also do quite a breakfast menu which runs until 18:00. We didn't get into that at all but it looked interesting. Anyway, if I'm ever up in the area again, I'll definitely consider eating there. It'll be interesting to see if Buro Buro expands into other locations as time goes on. One interesting thing was that it was pretty chilly at dinner time last night but their large outside seating area was almost entirely full. It bodes well for their future.

I think the fact that these two very similar restaurants are so close to eachother and still manage to be full almost every nice in a suburb of Zurich is an indication that they do indeed serve good stuff :) One advantage over Chayenne is that they serve food all day long, even between lunch time and dinner time (Chayenne only serves snacks then). We visited the place twice. Once we ordered fajitas and it was just enough for two people and the other time I ordered a chicken burrito (it was huge), while my boyfriend had something like beef with lemon and tequila sauce. I liked the food every time and will definitely go back. Prices are high, but that's Zurich... P.S: great Apfel strudel as well :)

The atmosphere is very joyful and, unlike many Zurich places, it is almost always populated by young (and noisy) people, who want to have a good time. I find this very relaxing. There are also available seats at the bar and often people are standing as well, since big groups of friends joining after work is a common view there. The strongest point of the place is, in my opinion, it'a brunch selection. On weekends, you can serve brunch until as late as 4 pm. Try their omelette, it is delicious! (I got the New York one). Also, they serve breakfast combos (i chose the American and the Swiss one), which are very expensive (up to even 30 CHF if I remember well), but they are worth it! The combos are enough for two people and they are very diverse. I would be happy if they offered more drinks as included in the combo though. However, be prepared to pay Zurich prices. It's an expensive place, but I never regretted spending money there. Enjoy!

The venue has a really nice feel to it, and it was very nice to spend time there. It was a nice day, and I was tempted to take one of their outside tables, but I opted to sit at the bar instead. For my meal, I chose croquetas, champinones boquerones, and tortilla. I also got a glass of wine to keep it all company. My meal was filling, satisfying, and delicious; the bill came to just a bit less than 30 CHF. I have hesitation about coming back again; I will soon :-)

Stubä is right in the center of an entertainment district that was really going off on Saturday night. At 10:30 the tables are taken out and the place turns into a very lively bar with good music. Definitely check out this place and the neighborhood if in Zurich.
