So I have been wanting a Speed Queen set for 2 years. I am an esthetician and do a TON of spa laundry for my business. I did all the research on washers and dryers and it all pointed in the same direction... SPEED QUEEN. My husband got them for me this Christmas. It was delivered the week after. I was so excited! When I went to turn on the dryer it was making a loud banging noise. I immediately called my husband (who was at work at the fire station) and told him what was going on. He called URNERS and got the run around. We finally got a technician out in late January. He said it was the rollers and they needed to be replaced. ON A BRAND NEW MACHINE. Not only that, we splurged and got the TOP OF THE LINE MODEL in matte black. The most expensive set THEY SELL! So February comes and finally the next technician comes out to replace said rollers and guess what? ITS NOT EVEN THE CORRECT DIAGNOSIS! The dryer drum was bent! Now we have to wait for the new drum to get ordered and schedule to have that replaced. We have called Urners and asked for a new unit multiple times. We have asked to speak with a manager or supervisor. NOTHING. Can't even get someone to call us back to tell us to kick rocks. It's just disheartening when you save and save and splurge on the highest quality and then get this kind of outcome and get treated this way. I have a mixed review because I dealt with several factions of this company in the process of my purchase, delivery and installation. Sales went smoothly. There was a problem with delivery and installation. Dryer couldnt get hooked up because Urners delivery guy said it was the wrong guage valve. He went about installing the washer. But that didnt end up working, and gave an error code that it was not getting water. Installation tech did not wait to verify the washer was working. The sales people at Urners were kind enough to send a tech at their cost to check the washer after I figured out it was not working. Fixing the dryer connection would be my cost, no problem. Urners' contracted tech came a week later. He did not check the problem. He decided what the most likely problem was and said he would not pull out stackables until he had the part he imagined he would need. I paid a guy to come fix the dryer connection. He came the day after the Urners tech. He was kind enough to take a look at the washer connection. He found that the Urners' guy had not even turned on the water to the washer. He turned on the water and it works great now. So mixed reviews. I think the people in the office have a customer service ideal. But the folks in the field seem to call the shots according to how hard they feel like working that day. read more

This is the second time we need repair and the service vendor has told us that they are unable to give us an ETA on the part or repair. Urner's has told us too bad and will not do anything. Offering a five-year "extended" warranty that expires four years after the manufacturers one year warranty expires is, IMO, deceptive. I've never heard of a warranty that begins on the date of purchase instead of immediately after the factory warranty expires. Granted, they do hand you the protection plan to read so this is on us. I just feel they should have said "This will extended your warranty by four years - not five." Lesson learned: Read the warranty when you get home. California law allows you 60 days to cancel and receive a full refund, less any claims paid. read more

If you do not sign up for their maintance agreement, good luck getting an appliance repaired in a timely matter. Every time I use my oven, I am reminded of the shody work from Urners. Several years ago, my wife and I decided to replace our kitchen appliances . The oven and the microwave was replaced with stainless Dacor. Dacor looked elegant without looking over the top. We also replaced our dish washer with the 2 drawer stainless steel Fisher & Paykel. My main issue is with the installation of the Dacor oven. It seemed that it was not installed properly. The oven door does not close properly, it does not latch on to have a proper seal. Thus when we are having to preheat or cook with the oven, this is what we have to do. This floor mop was bought for this purpose. We have complained to Urners several times in the past and they have brushed this off as there was an issue with the cabinet that it was installed on. Look at the photo and judge for yourself! We purchased a kitchen aid oven from Urner's last year. One week after the purchase the upper oven went out. Since then they have been called out 4 times because the oven won't hold the correct temperature. Customer service keeps referring us to appliance repair specialists that are anything but that. The technician wanted me to learn how to recalibrate the oven to avoid service calls cause they were quite busy. 1) I am not an appliance technician 2) I did not purchase the extended warranty to try and fix it myself ! We then purchased a microwave to match the oven. Mistake #2 had the microwave for 4 months and it goes out. I scheduled a service and when the technician got here he spent all of 10 seconds and said he would need another technician to attempt the repair and he had to order parts? Without a diagnosis he was just going to put parts in it till it works !!! Two weeks later the parts arrived damaged and now we have to start this over again. Called Urners and they said that it has to be attempted to be fixed and they can't just replace it which my understanding was that this is what the warranty is for. Since then we have had to purchase another microwave to get by as a Bakery business is run out of our house. All in all extremely disappointed in the customer service at Urners when you can get ahold of them they are next to useless. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will not be purchasing another item from these crooks. Once you leave the store with the appliance you basically on your own. Would not recommend Urners. We purchased a washer and dryer set from them along with the extended warranty and after a year the electronic panel on the washer was not working. We contacted the Urners to take advantage of the warranty on the machine and the service that was sent to repair our machine was unable to repair it even after they ordered parts two separate times. We contacted Urners about the fact that our maching was non-repairable and they would not trade us for another machine. Not even pro-rated. They just in essence washed their hands of us and did not care that the warranty that we paid for did not mean anything to them. WILL NEVER BUY FROM URNERS AGAIN!! read more

I decided to buy from Urner's because they are a family business, but I must be honest initially I was regretting that decision. Although, Shannon the sales person was great and gave me an estimate of costs so I can shop around and verify I was getting the lowest costs, I returned to finalize my purchase on his day off. The team that helped me were kind and patient and at that time I was quoted a possible delivery day. The day came and went, and I heard nothing. I called to speak to Shannon to check on my order and left a message with Jackie because he was with a customer, but when I didn't hear back from him I was upset. I called the store back a day later to cancel my order and that was that. Shannon called me immediately to see what happened and I explained that I had called him and hadn't heard back. It seems the message had not been passed along. He apologized profusely and asked how he could save the sale. He offered to cancel the delivery fee and I accepted and he explained the delay and gave me a new delivery date. In the end, the delivery was almost postponed because the refrigerator I purchased was on back order, but Shannon was able to resolve the issue by offering me a substitution with a better version that was $1,200 more than what I paid for. Needless to say, I am a very happy customer. He also went out of his way to come to my house and adjust the refrigerator when we accidentally moved something that caused the freezer door not to close properly so I didn't have to wait hours for a service rep to fix the issue. That sort of customer attention is hard to find. I will be a loyal customer for sure! Their prices are fantastic. Lower or at least equal to the big chain stores, but what makes them stand out is their attention to customer service and satisfaction. read more

My 18 years old over the range microwave oven needed replacing, and I decided to buy locally. I looked on Urner's website and found an LG over the range microwave oven on sale and purchased it. I also paid to have the new microwave installed and the old one hauled away. The Urner's installer drilled two large holes in my cabinet and had to drill another large hole since he didn't measure correctly the first time (measure twice, cut once). The holes are too large and one of the bolts and washers sink down at an angle into one of the holes. The installers also left a lot of wood chips around the kitchen that I had to vacuum up after they were done. I am also having an issue with the new microwave, and it already needs to be repaired. The humidity sensor isn't working properly and needs to be replaced. The microwave must be removed from the cabinet for repair and the appliance repair company informed me that they don't do that. Urner's nor LG will pay to have the microwave removed and reinstalled so it can be repaired. I will never do business with Urner's again, nor will I ever purchase another LG product. read more

I purchased a stove from the Urners outlet store and unfortunately the oven did not work. After some back-and-forth with the repair company and Christie who works the front desk at Urners we were able to get the stove replaced and they even installed it for free! The customer service was top-notch! I plan on buying all future appliances from Urners and their outlet store. I highly recommend it and I want to thank Christie for her amazing customer service even though at times we were frustrated with the outsourced repair company but that was not her nor Urners fault. We purchased a dryer from Urner's after mine stopped working. We purchased a $900 GE in stock dryer that the sales person said was excellent. It wasn't. It will only dry if on high manual for at least an hour which can ruin clothes. There lint all over the clothes and the lint trap is a terrible design that gets dirty (not just lint) with big holes that catch strings twisting them until they break. Clothes have also gotten stuck in the seams a few times ruining them to the point of having to throw them out. I called the store within 2 weeks to see about returning the dryer and getting another one. I was rudely told they do not accept returns for any reason. Doesn't matter if it's a lemon, defective, or just don't like it. They'll send a service tech out (with a charge) but that's it. Do not buy anything from Urner's. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The initial purchase was ok with exception of the women accepting payment who had poor manners. We have had nothing but problems since the delivery of our refrigerator. The refrigerator arrived damaged and Urners refuses to accept any responsibility despite the undeniable fact that it arrived damaged and we spent an additional $500 for an extended warranty. Went in today looking for a bedroom and living room set. I was not greeted when I walked in and it wasn't even that busy. There were multiple sales people and many were just texting or on their phones by the mattresses. I walked around trying to get somebody's attention or answer my questions but nobody would look at me. Because I moved, I found myself needing a new fridge, again. Without hesitation I called Urner's, not only did I call Urner's because my home builder used them, meaning they would know the exact match to my already installed appliances, but also because I have used Urner's to purchase appliances on two other occasions. Shaun answered my call, who works on the commercial side of sales. He helped me pick out a GE fridge that would closely match my other appliances. You would think the story ends there, but it doesn't, the fridge winds up being on backorder... so Shaun keeps in contact with me and after three weeks of using my garage fridge, he lets me know what he has in stock that can be delivered sooner. We get the a Whirlpool that exactly matches our other appliances. Shaun even follows up with me on how the experience was and asks about it. I had to call and make an appointment for a repair, because the fridge is so loud and won't stop running, it was even starting to collect frost in the freezer. I couldn't blame Urner's, it was obviously a problem with the product itself, and I watched the installation like a hawk, so I know that couldn't have been the cause. Shaun was so dedicated, he helped me pick out a different fridge, and arranged for the Whirlpool to be picked up and my new LG to be delivered. He made what could have been a horrible experience into something manageable. More importantly he took the time to ask questions to see what the problems really were, instead of just trying to make the problem go away. Never once did I feel like I needed to demand anything or that I wasn't being listened to. I can't say enough about Shaun and the entire team at Urner's. Because of this experience I will continue to buy from Urner's and refer people to Urner's. It's not just a great local place (which better stimulates the local economy) but they treat you like a real person, the whole team, from the sales people to the cashiers, to the installers. The stove was installed but as it turned out, the dishwasher handle obstructed another drawer (old house) so we had to reorder the unit without a handle. However, the general feeling (from walking into the store, setting up delivery, and dealing with replacing new fridge) is they don't care. So much for supporting local biz. Urners is terrible. Bought $2500.00 maytag top load chrome black washer and dryer. Salesman knew very little. Just knew that he wanted to make a sale, no matter what. Lying and deception are tools of their trade. And the ol' "Gee....I don't know about that". Just dumb. We had bought a new home and were desperate for a new set, so here we go. Wanted to "support local", not a chain store...... Well sometimes that's not all it's cracked up to be. We picked them up on urners loading dock on white ln/wible. They were wrapped in cardboard. Got them home 20 mins later and the dryer was SMASHED. Like someone put their foot thru the bottom. Called urners...they don't care. They said "Didn't you inspect them on the dock?".... I said "I didn't realize I was supposed to. Have to peel off cardboard in 110° heat with 5 guys watching me at 5pm, wanting to go home. It's brand new anyway. What could be wrong with them?" So I call back, get the run around. I told them I spent $2500 for what? You won't fix it? Once you get my money, screw me?".....they said "Pretty much" and gave me an 800 number to Maytag. Now I am fightimg an evil, faceless corporation. Two months now, still not fixed. Eldon is who I talked to at urners. Classic kiss-off artist. Then for the crescendo....now the washer doesn't work. They treat you great in the beginning, after that they will give you the worst customer services after purchasing an appliance from them. I'm speaking about the supervisor from their store. Well, I'm saddened to know the Urner's I knew longer exists. They still sell appliances but provide no service for them. And warranty... even 1 month over, forget it, no help at all. In fact they now contract with a warranty company you have to call that initially had me on hold for over 1/2 hour BEFORE I could speak to anyone... horrible. As I said in my last post, I have shopped here for over 30 years, last purchase was for $15,000 in 2018. One of those items was a GE dishwasher, 1 month past warranty, and the little plastic sliding door for the soap compartment broke.... too bad.
